    Factory Error

    I've posted this problem before, My B-Wing came 90 degrees left so I notified FFG and was promptly fobbed off. Apparently happy for me to glue or set it straight myself.

    Wedge Speeder Card

    Understanding it is a space game however I feel this game is incomplete without the speeder so I threw together a few ideas and came up with this pilot card. Still no reason why some of these guys couldn't duke it out against a few TIEs. Although at 1:270 it would be a small model.
  8. I understand it may be one in a million but I purchased a B-Wing and when I assembled it was orientated to the right 90 degrees. I have checked and re checked the alignment pegs and yes they only fit one way, with the B-Wing forever flying sideways. Now I did get in touch with Customer Service with a lengthy explanation however was denied an appropriate action. Feeling a little deflated with this game. As good as it is, the service and supply is poor at best.

The game exceeded expectations when it launched, and they knew this. We've seen two waves with supply issues, why will three be any different? My money is on a constant catch up for all releases. As we wait, potential game players slip through the cracks.
  11. Wave 4? Hell, I'd be lucky to see Wave 1,2 or 3 ships. Supply is a joke. This is a great game let down in a large way buy the inability to cope with demand. I think for wave 4 they should concentrate on pilot cards and durable plastic tokens. Surely FFG could manage that.

Understood, however if you are going to replicate the experience then it is a forgone conclusion that the ties are destroyed and the Falcon escapes. Since thats what happened in the movie. Looking forward to trying this scenario if and when my Falcon arrives.
  13. Sounds like fun. Iam however no expert on asteroids but I dont think they move independantly rather than in the same direction, particularly as a belt or field of objects. Perhaps leave out the asteroid movement to simplify and replicate a more realistic battlespace.

    Well I hope someone like GF9 jump on this. If FFGs can't see the potential sales for these items it's their loss.

If FFG are serious about this game they will have to release better tools. I think they will have missed the mark if they continue with the current non replaceable cardboard tools. At the moment if a dial is lost etc, the only way to replace it is to purchase a new expansion which still leaves you short a dial. Hopefully any speculation of wave 3 is in the form of durable tokens, dials, templates etc. Thats the kind of support players are looking for. They need to be sold as a seperate unit so that we are not doubling up when a particular piece is lost or damaged. Yes I know other companies are making tokens of various quality but for me I'd like to keep it stock. Especially for any tourny requirements. Thats my two cents

Your diagrams give a hieght of 20m or 74mm @ 1/270, the model is 68mm. So yes smaller but not by much. The TIE advanced looks bigger in the second pic because it is much closer to the camera. A snowspeeder is 19.6mm @ 1/270 and in ESB when the walker steps on it you can see the footpad (excluding toes) covers 2/3 of the ship. The footpad of this model is 12mm, so close to 2/3 of a scale snowspeeder. I know scale is a nice to have but when its fiction I think one should concentrate more on playing the game and having fun than a few mm here or there. But thanks anyway.

Snowspeeders, I think people want to game only Hoth when they include a walker and by all means you can however you will likely replicate the same outcome since speeders were ineffective. It was used in other fictional battles and that was what we were going for here, This one was an air escort mission where TIEs keep the Rebels from downing it. Thanks for the input.

    Please excuse the space board (still working on an appropriate surface). A few shots of one of our playtests. For the most part the rules worked fine. The AT-AT will soon be on a 40mmx80mm base. With the walker only taking crits as damage it came down to the wire in this one. All TIE fighters went down as did an A-Wing before it was destroyed. I guess where it needs work is the acurate measurement of turning on the spot. Veers did well with his extra attack die when stationary but those pesky Rebels will circle from behind for shots (need those escorts). P.S. sorry about image quality.
