Vader, How many attacks can he get.
Forensicus replied to zhentil's topic in Imperial Assault Skirmish
Your constructive input is immediately put to use Hey, I've mellowed considerably.... this was me being politically correct. In years past, I would have got into a pissing contest with some stubborn 15 year old which ended in me calling everyone retards, then rage quitting this site lol. I thought my response was as nice as I get lol We've all been there -

Vader, How many attacks can he get.
Forensicus replied to zhentil's topic in Imperial Assault Skirmish
Yes he can/may do so: "If an ability allows a figure to perform an attack outside of its activation, this attack does not count toward the limit of one attack per activation." The officer can "order" Vader to perform a normal attack as on of the officer's action (which would be outside Vaders activation) But he must "order" Vader BEFORE Vaders own Activation since an exhausted unit/group cannot be re-activated in the same round (under normal circumstances) -

A question about the "Prison Break" mission.

I'd just use the mission card as a Deployment Card proxy -

Considering if I should add doors, terminals and mission specific tokens/crates in the itinerary do each map? Thoughts? -
A question about the "Prison Break" mission.
Forensicus replied to Radarman5's topic in Imperial Assault Skirmish
1) Yes, but make sure the prisoner has a couple of bodyguards 2) in the words of Boba Fett: "He's no good to me dead". So yes, only points as long as the prisoner is alive. And 10 points to the opponent if the prisoner dies -

They are designed in a format close to A2 but that's only truly relevant if you're interested to print them in "life size" and use as an outline for placing the tiles. I suggest shrinking/adjusting to your preferred paper size and simply use as a reference for the tiles placements. Sounds reasonable? (Edit: Yay for the millennium post BTW!) -
Thoughts on IA and why I wont be buying it
Forensicus replied to Lilikin's topic in Star Wars: Imperial Assault
Coming from X-Wing and the LCG and never having played D2e I must say I absolutely love this game and the fast and sturdy mechanics of the game. To me they've really caught so much flavor especially in the unique characters. Was your (only) game the tutorial mission or from the campaign start mission? If it's the first option I can only repeat what I e posted many times before: that LtP (as so many of FFG's other games) are in no way representative of actual gameplay or feel but strictly done to get into action and experience the game rules and situations. -

Here's a couple of close ups of my primed version: But just contact them and send the photo(s) you've taken and they will most likely have a new one shipped to you soon: http://parts.fantasyflightgames.com -
I've made this thread with map files as an aid for setting up Skirmish Games: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/145522-all-10-current-skirmish-maps-in-pdf-layout-help-files/

Hi there. finally finished todays "work" of making these layout aid maps. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rsie8vzyf3rq273/AACUGydfaoSszOJJdasptsfja?dl=0 Please note the following errata: In Kuat Space Station the insert erroneously states you need 2 x #36 but you need a total of 3 x #36 In Ord Mantell Junkyard they've also missed a #36 tile in the "itinerary" The idea is that the layouts should give a fast overview of the tiles placement and speed up the setup between games (or at least make it easier) Let me know what you think of it and if there are mistakes that needs fixing or if you have other suggestions. I might update with the placing of mission objects and terminals later Happy Easter Skirmish from Denmark. -Niko- (Edit: All maps have been slightly updated (too many tile edges were not the correct/same thickness) so everything is semi-OCD proofed) Imperial Assault Map - Mos Eisley Outskirts (Core Set).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Moisture Farm (Luke Skywalker).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Massassi Ruins (Darth Vader).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Corellian Underground (Han Solo).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Imperial Labor Camp (Chewbacca).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Geonosis Foundry (Rebel Troopers).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Endor Wilderness (Rebel Saboteurs).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Imperial Research Lab (Gen. Weiss).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Kuat Space Station (Royal Guard Champion).pdf Imperial Assault Map - Ord Mantell Junkyard (IG-88).pdf

Kuat Space Station Map Tile List Error
Forensicus replied to CT_Rob's topic in Imperial Assault Skirmish
Isn't there a similar mistake in the Ord Mantell Junkyard map?? It seems to me that they skipped/missed a #36B tile at the "East arm" of #26B tile -
I've bought a BattleFoam C4 P.A.C.K. With foam insert for an unknown game. But it works great: easiæy stores any squad incl. Decimators/Firesprays or Small ships and dials. Also all templates etc. And even has storage for rule book/FAQ and my box for tokens

Tournament Rules page 4: "Players should not abuse this pre-measurement rule to slow the pace of play or interrupt an opponent’s activation. ...... If a player believes his or her opponent is abusing movement pre-measuring he or she can request that a judge observe the match."

Very good response. I tip my hat

And just 1 deck. It's shared by both

Check page 3 in the LtP book

Having run a full day of 20-25 minutes sessions of the LtP I feel confident in saying the the LtP is very sufficient and suited for ...... Learning to Play :-) If you add more it'll just end up being way too complicated/confusing and diminish the experience instead of adding to the experience Sometimes less is more

This is not a matter opinions. Had you said "interpretation" then it would be a different matter. For now all we have to adhere to is the example from X-Wing and the fact that nowhere in the rules is it stipulated that you MUST move the ship along the movement tool and check for "out of map-ness" the entire movement

Just check the Critical Effect section page 4 in Rules Reference
