As a man who, all by myself, came up with Omega Leader with Juke and Comms Relay, only to come on here and discover that it's pretty much the standard for her.

Some combinations work in this game, others don't - I suck, so I lose a lot, but it's not squad building that's at fault, it's my inability to avoid crashing into asteroids, debris, and my own god-dammned Decimator.

Wow, there are some just awful reasons people give for not liking lasers in a Star Wars game of all things...

"Uh, its.. uh... It's so shaky... Laser accuracy isn't accurate enough..."

As a land surveyor, I find some people's lack of faith in lasers disturbing...

It really is confounding how people will willingly throw out the "at all costs" idiom without actually understanding what they are saying.
If you are saying you are "willing to win at any/all cost" you are saying you are willing to cheat to get the W. It's a saying that litterally means a person is stating thier willingness to do anything to win. It's right there in the phrase, it isn't some veiled coliquilism.

Maybe use those points to put elusiveness on howlrunner to keep her alive a little longer? Or just VI and a 1 point initiative bid

If what happened at my FLGS was any indication, there are a ton of new people getting into the game right now, due to the holidays and the new movie.  They sold about 70% of their X-Wing stock between Christmas and New Year's.  So we're likely to have a lot of new players who don't know the ins and outs of the rules and the sites and might not know there's even such a thing as an FAQ or errata.  So maybe kindly pointing them in that direction would go a longer way towards helping them than snarking about them not finding it on their own.
