    Boltons

boy11jb said: I like the layout of this deck! I also run a Bolton deck sometimes for fun, and some of these combinations are really great. I'm a big fan of the use of Meera Reed and Nightmares to prevent some of those more intregal cards from changing sides. I don't think there's much of a need for cards like The Weeping Water, so you should be fine there. Bloody Scourge is an excellent card, I usually like using that in combination with a character like Damon Dance-for-Me, who has the potential of stealth. Another card that seems slightly unnecessary is Narrow Escape. It seems like your Building Season/Abandoned Fort combo should be enough to return your significant cards to hand before offing everyone. I've found that taking out one or two of the lone, less intregal cards can make valuable room for an extra copy of something you use a bit more, like the Bastard of Bolton or Catelyn Stark for their free-play ability. Deck is very good overall, good luck with it and have fun! thanks for your advice!
  3. Bolton Siege of Winterfell Valar Morghulis After the Mummers Ford Storm of Swords Building Season Power of Arms x2 Fortified Position Bolton Refugee x3 Meera Reed x1 Steelshanks Reserves x3 Steelshanks Walton x1 Bolton Loyalist x3 The Bastards Elite x3 The Flayed Men x3 Reek x3 The Bastard of Bolton x1 Catelyn Stark (LoW) x1 Damon Dance-For-Me x2 Robb Stark (Core) x1 Roose Bolton x3 The Bastards Boys x2 Winter is Coming x2 Narrow Escape x2 Die by the Sword x3 No Quarter x3 Nightmares x3 Frozen Solid x2 Dubious Loyalty x3 The Street of Steel x1 The Narrow Sea x3 Northern Fiefdoms x3 Frozen Outpost x1 The Dreadfort x1 Abandoned Fort x3 Seems to do ok, cool synergy with a few cards: Reek + Dubious Loyalty, Nightmares to stop any characters going over to the opponent, Winter is coming on a Power of Arms challenge, Abandoned Fort for Reek and those Steelshanks who like to wonder, Narrow Escape to get all my characters back on my side with Valar (emergencies) The deck tends to leave the opponent without many characters to do anything with. Not sure how to fit in or even if cards like Weeping Water and Bloody Scourge have a place in this deck.
  4. Sorry to keep posting lists but a friend helped me understand Tully is pure defense and winning with Riverrun. Here is what I started winning with: Tully 1x Take Them by Surprise 1x Respect of the Old Gods 1x The Minstrel's Muse 1x Family, Duty, Honor 1x Feast or Famine 1x Rains of Autumn 1x Rule by Decree Characters: 32 3x Bolton Refugee 1x Hodor 1x Hoster Tully 2x House Tully Recruiter 3x Knight of the Red Fork 3x Guard at Riverrun 3x Riverrun Messenger 1x Maester Luwin 2x Catelyn Stark 1x Damon Dance-For-Me 3x Riders of the Red Fork 3x The Blackfish 3x Robb Stark 3x Edmure's Host Events: 11 3x Distinct Mastery 3x Bound By Duty 2x Lethal Counterattack 3x Routing the Charge Locations: 17 3x Great Keep 3x Narrow Sea 1x Street of Steel 3x Northern Fiefdoms 3x Riverrun 3x Frozen Outpost 1x Winterfell Castle It got power really fast at the start of the game, really cool

Maybe it still works if you go for initial push with Boltons and final power grab with Tully/Riverrun. The Tullys set up quicker so I spent some time online and found a used set of Forging the Chain (so lucky to find it) and changed set up to: House Stark (Core) x1 Agenda (1) The Siege of Winterfell (LoW) x1 Plot (7) After the Mummers Ford Respect of the Old Gods Storm of Swords Siege of Riverrun Take Them by Suprise Family, Duty, Honor Summoning Season Character (33) Bolton Refugee (RoW) x3 Hoster Tully (LoW) x1 Meera Reed (TftH) x2 House Tully Recruiter (Core) x2 Knight of the Red Fork (LoW) x3 The Bastard's Elite (RoR) x3 Knight of theTumblestone (Core) x2 Guard at Riverrun (LoW) x3 Catelyn Stark (LoW) x1 Damon Dance-For-Me (VD) x1 Maester Luwin (FtC) x1 Riders of the Red Fork (FtC) x3 Robb Stark (LoW) x2 The Blackfish (LoW) x3 Edmures Host (LoW) x3 Location (13) Great Keep (Core) x3 Narrow Sea (Core) x3 Street of Steel (Core) x1 Northern Fiefdoms (LoW) x2 Riverrun (LoW) x1 Frozen Outpost (LoW) x3 Attachment (3) Frozen Solid (LoW) x3 Event (11) Die by the Sword (LoW) x3 No Quarter (TBC) x3 Lethal Counterattack (Core) x2 Routing the Charge (LoW) x3 With having more Tullys now I think LoW Robb Stark would be better but I feel like the core set Robb kills more people..
  6. Hi, I am new to the game and have received a few Stark cards from a friend. House Stark (Core) x1 Agenda (1) The Siege of Winterfell (LoW) x1 Plot (7) After the Mummers Ford Respect of the Old Gods Storm of Swords Siege of Riverrun Valar Morghulis Family, Duty, Honor Summoning Season Character (33) Bolton Refugee (RoW) x3 Hoster Tully (LoW) x1 Meera Reed (TftH) x2 House Tully Recruiter (Core) x2 Knight of the Tumblestone (Core) x2 Knight of the Red Fork (LoW) x3 The Bastard's Elite (RoR) x3 The Flayed Men (DB) x3 Guard at Riverrun (LoW) x3 Catelyn Stark (LoW) x1 Damon Dance-For-Me (VD) x1 Robb Stark (Core) x2 The Blackfish (LoW) x2 Edmures Host (LoW) x3 The Bastards Boys (RotD) x2 Location (13) Great Keep (Core) x3 Narrow Sea (Core) x3 Street of Steel (Core) x1 Northern Fiefdoms (LoW) x2 Riverrun (LoW) x1 Frozen Outpost (LoW) x3 Attachment (3) Frozen Solid (LoW) x3 Event (11) Die by the Sword (LoW) x3 No Quarter (TBC) x3 Lethal Counterattack (Core) x2 Routing the Charge (LoW) x3 Unfortunately I do not have access to the Secrets of Oldtown cycle. I feel like I should take out: The Bastards Boys, The Flayed Men, And work more with the Tully synergy but the Boltons are so cost effective. Advice? Help?
