Twin blessings looks interesting. As noted, the fact that Path of Waves is "visit one" and then Sins of Regret is "visit two.....blimey it's gone downhill, hasn't it?" makes for a good addition to a campaign, and I'll definitely look at using it! I'm not sure where it'll end up located in practice....

I can't see how they would have FFG on them any longer since Asmodee has moved RPG's to Edge. Once the old stock is gone, new prints will at least have the logo and legal statements swapped from FFG to Edge.

Good thing, more updates to the download section. It is starting to look like something. I wonder who is the brave soul doing that now that the dept is all gone. Somebody picked up the slack... Could it be the Edge Studio designers already at work? Or ?

When running a one-shot intro at a local game store:
"So...the city gates aren't locked down, and people are coming and going, but they're being questioned a bit more closely than ususal. If the Lion Clan realise specifically who you are, things could get interesting very quickly. I'll call it a TN2 deceive/skulduggery or deceive/government for you and your attendants to get past the town watch without drawing too much attention to yourselves."

I think I agree. There are so many options currently, that a reskin is probably not hard to find/do.

What you want is something that can't be spammed every scene or every encounter. We have a non-written rule in our group that every player should get approximately the same amount of opportunities to use their different advantages/disadvantages. If something can always come up, we make it less able to, and if something never come up, we loosen it a bit. As a GM I do not even have to really hard rule that anymore as all the players are basically discussing between themselves now and agree to make it fair and fun.

So, really.. for us it doesn't really matter what Ring or Skill it is tied to (its so mushy and gamey anyway to have it tied to specifics I find. It becomes tedious and there is already way too many tedious stuff in that game). The first paragraph is important though, because that is a narrative given.

So, there is no right answer (yet again lol), because it really depends how your group plays those advantages/disadvantages. If your group plays very loose or open about all of this, it becomes more narrative fluff and narrative bonus than some mechanics to abuse and try to pick the ones that are easier to spam. In that case, just write something cool and do not care about the mechanical part. If rings/skills and exact situations in which you can use it are of importance to your group, I'd suggest you to simply reskin something.

Your assumptioms, not our assumptions. That's a big problem for diversity proponents: they tend to believe everyone is as closed-minded as they.

Because our default assumption in most stories about a protagonist is that they are a white, cis, hetero, male.

I'm alright with writers being reminded "Hey, go ahead and make this character black, or this one LGBT, or this one female, or this one asian - and there doesn't have to be a reason for it other than to remember that all types of people exist.

Develop them beyond that, of course. But maybe don't immediately start with another white dude main character.

So, yeah, seeing that high on the white board doesn't bother me in the slightest.

No, it isn't.
The Mantis somehow becoming a Great Clan was always a mistake (and a violation of the concept of a Great Clan).
