  1. http://www.amazon.com/Plano-Protector-Four-Pistol-Case/dp/B000P3WPKK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407290517&sr=8-1&keywords=plano+4+pistol

This case has a middle layer of pluck foam and egg shell foam on top and bottom.  I shaped the pluck foam as needed to fit a Tantive and 2 Transports, and cut out portions of the egg shell foam so that the Tantive IV's engines and guns and the Transports didn't get compressed too much.  It works well, not bad for $12.

    Here's a pic:  https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/t1.0-9/10492010_10201522432863160_6511345331622422101_n.jpg

I had to put the damage decks. tokens, pilot cards, dials and large pegs elsewhere (I have a couple other cases to hold Waves 1-4), but the huge ship specific upgrade cards fit nicely between the transports and the bases.  I laid the templates on the foam itself, and put the tiles and books between the upper eggshell foam and the plastic of the case.

  2. What I like most is that how you fly and respond to opponent flight determines your win more than the dice.

What I like least is having all the great upgrade cards but having to limit how many you pile on to ships, because too many are not as beneficial as another ship in your squad.  And that limit gets hit pretty quickly, especially with the TIE ships.

    Overall I give it a 9/10.

  3. I pre-ordered a couple of Rebel Aces recently at my FLGS just to give them some of my money.  Once Wave 5 is on the boat I'll pre-order a couple of each ship at MiniMarket and spam the boards every day.

  4. Luke+R2-D2+Shield Upgrade+Draw Their Fire is a deceptively effective Biggs-lite - or rather, an optional Biggs.  If your opponent lets him live too long then he becomes an end-game winner because of your ability to retreat and regain shields against the hopefully 1 remaining ship.

So I like to keep him in back to absorb the occasional crit to keep the rest of my squad alive.

  5. I have two.  I have yet to play with both.  When I played an epic game with the transport and Tantive IV, it was the transport that screwed up the Empire plans more.  So I can certainly see a second transport being used instead of the Tantive IV for some games.

  6. Keyan Farlander (BWing) lets you remove a stress token and use it as a focus during your attack.  That's pretty awesome.  Tack on a Heavy Laser Cannon with Opportunity, and send Wes Janson along with Dutch Vander and you have a high chance of a 5-die Target Lock/Focus combo every round.

I haven't thought of any super awesome AWing stuff yet, but I'm wide open to ideas.

  7. Without new releases, playing all the squad ideas out to their potential knowing that no new things will come into the game would eventually make the game begin to feel stagnant.

That's...  really all I have to say.

EDIT: Well, not not actually.  I remember playing the latest hottest massive online game, and the developers decided to stop showing server population numbers.  How would you feel if the latest hottest game that you loved playing started losing players?  The perception of the game changes.
