Still hoping on a Q3 release for Rebel Aces.

 

Even the Wave 5 ships say Q3 2014.  That won't be happening I don't think.

[Are you more of a casual or hardcore player?]

I don't try to go hard core tournament style, but I do want to make effective builds.

I'm also very interested in seeing way out interesting effective builds just to see cool combos.

I'll bet it was either going to be "TIE Fighters" or "X-Wing".

Generally at tournaments a wave isn't legal until it's officially released.

 

But I do not know.

Just three ships in core?  That isn't much!  How are they going to keep the game alive?

my typical pattern is 3 of each small and 2 of each large, more depending on the cheapest point options.

 

For Wave 6 I'm guessing:

2 Most Wanted since I already have my share of YWings and Z95s, but I want enough of the alternate pilot cards

3 Starvipers

2 IG -2000

3 M3-As, possibly more.  It looks like they are relatively cheap point-wise since the highest PS is 20 points.  So up to 6.

I'm waiting for Rebel Aces to turn green and Wave 5 to turn yellow so I can start spamming the Upcoming page again.

 

I pre-ordered Rebel Aces from my FLGS to give a brick store some money, but I will be pre-ordering Wave 5 and 6 from MiniMarket.

TIE Fighter was my favorite.  XWing Alliance has better graphics, but frankly those missions are freakin hard.  Way too hard for a new player.

You would have to indicate how many of each release you want.  And I would bet that would seriously cut into distributors' profits if half the products were sent out straight from FFG.

Oh I'm still getting 2 YT 2400s and 2 Decimators.  They will definitely add to the game.

 

But Wave 6 seriously got me hyped with all the ways it will be changing the game.

Curved flip?  Droid ships that share pilot abilities?  A new version of Boba Fett that is much nastier?

 

I had my doubts, but I'm eager to try these things out.

We used to play 3-way MtG.  If you can turtle and watch the other players weaken themselves, the other two resign themselves to losing.  Generally not good.

Their synergies and faction specific upgrades I imagine will help drive their flavor.

I wonder if they will have different maneuver dials for the repaints...
