ruferto got a reaction from kempy in Speculation: Android CCG will return, sans Netrunner
FFG launches a new card game designed by Richard Garfield and Netrunner ends its life because Wizards doesn't renew license to FFG.
This does not suprise me.

ruferto got a reaction from 13nrv in When will we received POD expansions? A request from Spain
I think I did not explain well.
My local editor (Edge Ent) sent spanish translation when it was requested by FFG. FFG has not print spanish cards yet.
My local editor explained in spanish official forums there is a big problem with printer queue for POD system. It's not only for spanish edition and it affects other foreign editions as well.
I can buy english editions, of course. But this is not a solution. FFG should fix this issue with POD system, because there are foreign editors that are paying licenses and making translations.
FFG should, at least, answer to community explaining when they will fix POD system. Not just for spanish players, but all players affected by this system.
And yes, I could buy english editions, but I don't want. Because I have a local editor. It would be fun if I buy FFG english packs when FFG is not making his job releasing my local edition.

ruferto reacted to Grimwalker in Deluxe expansions?
My gut tells me we'll have 4 deluxe sets with 2 factions per box. That's the pattern in Netrunner, Star Wars, and I think I heard somewhere that after Tyranids and Necrons get their solo Deluxe sets, Conquest will be doubling up. Plus from a new player perspective, 8 deluxes is a much higher bar to entry than 4.

WOWWOWWOW! That's amazing man! It is so nice and shiny! It looks like Elfwork!

ruferto reacted to born to lose in Storage (again)
It's not necessarily a "Plug and Play" solution since the box is designed for art supplies, so a little work needs to be done to accommodate cards. But the dimensions are perfect for card storage once a little modification is done!
Details on how to make it below:

Could you share one or two pictures of your collection, please? I'd love to watch it. Thank you!

If you're in the US and don't mind using a wooden box, Hobby Lobby makes a swell option. I use a pair of them myself to hold everything

This is my collection:
- An album which contains one copy of every player card
- Box #1: Core and Shadows of Mirkwood, Dwarrowdelf and Against the Shadow cycles, completes (including deluxe expansions)
- Box #2: Ringmaker cycle (on the left), Nightmare and print on demand expansions (on the right)
- Box #3: Saga expansions
I sleeve using a colour code :
- Black: player cards
- Red: encounter card (Core and main cycles)
- Orange: heroes (Core and main cycles)
- Dark green: Print on demand expansions
- Yellow: The Hobbit: Over Hill and Under Hill encounters
- Light Blue: On the Doorstep encounters. This is because each expansion needs a different Bilbo Bolson
- White: The Hobbit saga heroes
- Purple: LOTR saga encounters
- Light green: LOTR saga heroes

ruferto reacted to Jban in Storage (again)
Hi,
I'm using the UltraPro Standard Pro-Fit sleeves on all my cards with "the Ring" backside. So Heroes, Player Cards, Mugash (and his friends) and a lot of boons, burdens. I don't sleeve the encounter cards because I just use a specific set too rarely to sleeve them. My storage goes into DragonShield boxes.
5 boxes in total for now:
Box 1: Lore + Leadership
Box 2: Tactics + Spirit
Box 3: Core encounter + 1st cycle encounters + 2nd cycle encounters
Box 4: 3rd cycle encounters + 4th cycle encounters
Box 5: Nightmares + Boons/Burdens + Neutrals + Heroes + Fellowships + Quest Cards
All space that is left (because non of my cycles is complete (delivery on some old things tend to be pretty hard for my local game store)) is occupied by Saga expansions and the stand-alone packs.
Got 2 new saga expansions coming in, when that happens Ill probably put all my saga's into a 6th box and I need to rearrange some things. My main ideas for now are 2 cycles per box, saga's together, and organize the others in some way ....
I furthermore found myself dividers st I could find all the encounter sets pretty quickly which is pretty convenient.

ruferto got a reaction from Fryden in Another Open Letter to FFG
I agree with you, tonylovessunny. I think about this sometimes, "The Lord of the Rings The Card Game, Upgrade pack".
This awesome game has so much players and fans than it looks. And something like this would be a hit.
I would like to see, included in that Upgrade pack, a new rulebook including the FAQ and all the expansion rules, and cards fixed, errata free and with the easy mode icon.
I feel this game needs to improve the community support, with more stuff (boxes, playmats, dividers, ...) and tools. I see the awesome tool that FFG has launched for X-Wing and if we had something like that for LOTR... a great Card designer, including quests... I would love to reuse my encounter decks.

The order I think would be: Shadow of the Past, The Old Forest, Fog in the Barrow-downs, A Knife in the Dark, Flight to the Ford.

ruferto reacted to Kerstoid in The LOTR LCG Atlas
Over the summer, I started working on a new project building an interactive atlas of locations for our beloved card game. As a lover of maps, I learned a lot building this and hope you will enjoy browsing it, reading my introductions, and seeing the locations laid out on the map of Middle-earth.
So far, I've only finished the core set and first two cycles, but hope to keep plugging away over the course of the year. I'm not a web designer, but have found the free services of GoogleSites and ThingLink sufficient to my goals so far. Go check it out and see what you think!
Browse through Master of Lore's LOTR LCG Atlas. Use links at the bottom of each page to advance in release order through the maps.
Glimpse my Steward's Fear map (with locations, allies, and more).

That is my goal as well.
This game is amazing. I don't care if I lose, because I enjoy so much. Now I'm on the second mission (Journey along the Anduin), and this afternoon I'm gonna make my 5th attempt, the second one in easy mode. I think easy mode is a hidden "one play standard mode" for one player with some quests.

It's pretty apparent early on that neither am I. But I"m committed to sticking it out and making it work! Most of the knowledge I have on how to play the game is trial and error. Hopefully the blog will help take a little error out for others.

Oh! I'm making something similar. But I'm not an expert player, I'm a newbie and I'm writting my post from this point of view. I'm playing, mainly, using 1 core and including the cards available when the adventure pack was available.

ruferto got a reaction from Isfret in Better boxes and inserts
I do not understand why FFG does not bring us better boxes with useful insert like other card games. I would like to store a cycle inside its deluxe expansion, preferably sleeved.
Some days ago I was watching a video review of Pathfinder and I felt jealous when I saw that amazing box and that great insert.
I love this game. It's my favorite game, by far. But it's becoming a trouble how I storage it.
Nowadays I have all my cards inside of 3 core boxes, and 1 copy of each of the player cards inside an Upper deck. I use customeeple inserts for the boxes, but this solution it's not the best one.
Please FFG guys, I want to spend my money in nice official boxes with useful insert.
