Been flying Warden last couple days. Warden: Sabine, Clusters, Prox mines, Extra M, Adv Slam No need to pay for turrets as I am always dropping bombs, or slamming. It has a primary turret anyways. Don't feel a need for points that I may or may not use. Clusters have been getting work done. -
The biggest part is it allows you to attack without attacking. So Captured Tie is still in effect. I was thinking of trying Sabatour on Ahsoka. For same reason.

Not to mention you would lose Engine Upgrade. Because you can't have another mod over 3 points.

The main reason for the droid is to keep it for action economy for next turn. My plan is to spend the TL for the extra eye result. And use the focus from Rey. To turn all eyes to hits. With Predator I get a bit of reroll modification. To hopefully get a hit/crit or even an eye. The shuttle is pretty hard to kill. Ezra when stressed is amazing. It's a 3 primary attack ship with barrel roll built in and an evade action. This is the first time using the shuttle on its own for me. But I really enjoyed it. But you could use Biggs or another ace if you would like. Just felt like trying it out.

I just flew Norra for the first time tonight. I used this. Norra: Rey, Predator, R5-K6 , Title Ezra: Chewie, PTL Warden: Ad Slam, extra munitions, Prox, Clusters, Sabine. Really liked the Norra build. Slow rolled got a couple of focus saved up on Rey. Then got a TL and pulled a focus off of Rey. I ended up getting 5 hits from range one. Using TL to add an eye while I focused for the extra hits. And a chance to keep the TL with the droid. This is the build I will be playing from now on. Very effective.

I ran this for a couple games. Really liked the way it flew. Ventress: Title, Tactican, Gyro, PTL, BMST's 4-Lom: Title, Ketso, Tractor, FCS, Engine, BMST's Pirate: BMST's Ventress tries to hit something to put the tractor beam on. While 4-Lom keeps it on. Along with a couple of Stress. Then Z BMST's that same ship the next turn to damage it hopefully. Or I can shot 4-Lom and tractor something to help both Ventress and the Z. If that's the case the Z can get some damage in with hopefully 2 tractor beam tokens on its target. Again keeping those tractor beams on the target. And 4-Lom can get rid of his Stress as well.

Gyro is sub-optimal on Ventress, as it just makes it easier to dodge her ability, which you want to trigger every turn. Using an action to adjust the arc later in the activation phase is a MUCH more consistent way to trigger the ability. You can adjust by using the mobile firing arc's action, or boosting to shift it as needed, AND you get the bonus of being able to arc dodge or block, depending on enemy PS.Sure, Gyro isn't the worst thing ever, but it leaves you with FAR fewer options. I really only think Gyro is worth it on Sabine, honestly, because she's going to be using her only action to focus. Or you can use it as a fake out move. More control on your part. Plus if the are double or triple stressed they are limited to what they are doing anyways. So pointing out the way you are going isn't so bad half the time anyways. It's a an action that can't be denied. You can always do it. That's why it's nice. If you get double stressed you can still do it provided you do a 3,4,5 move. Pretty useful to get her ability off it that type of situation. I would say. But ymmv. I just know I have never missed EU on her and probably never will with the build I use. "Fake out move" ... and not trigger her ability.More control... except you're not "controlling" anything, and still lose ships in your arc (or have to spend your action to moving it).Action that can't be denied... You're right, but to your detriment, because you're predictable, and it honestly doesn't guarantee any form of success (note: neither does EU, so this is an even point).If you get stressed... You're still boned, because no one is going to be silly enough to fly into your advertised kill zone, which you can't in any way alter due to stress (note: another mood point, as EU doesn't help there any... Though it MAY allow you to get out of "stress zones" to begin with). This is really not a "YMMY" situation. EU is better, Gyro is cheaper. Anyone can play what they want, but loving a Scyk doesn't make it better than... anything else. And, again, on non-Ketsu and non-Ventress pilots, I think Gyro is pretty fantastic. But on the big two, it's not the ideal modification. Edit: The real argument is this: Ketsu rarely wants to move her arc. EU allows her to adjust both arcs somewhat. Ventress wants to ALWAYS be handing out that stress, which means she will likely be spending her actions often on adjusting the arc, so Gyro is redundant. And, again, EU has other fringe benefits, outside of arc repositioning. No what I mean in Fake out move is. Moving it for free at the end phase. Let's say moving it to the left arc. Showing that you might be turning left. Instead you right turn3. Now with PTL you can TL and move your arc again. Setting up the arc in the rear or your right depending on what you think they might be doing. That's what I mean fake out. It works. No you are controlling ships when they are double stressed. If you know their greens then they are most likely going to do one of those. Which helps set up your moves or arcs with Gyro. They are stressed so therefore can't do action to help get them out of arcs via barrel rolls or boost. Hence control. Again I have never said man I wish Ventress had EU. But if you feel she needs it then that's the way you play her. But I have only lost one game with her. Out of 10 or so. That was to Dash. Although he only had 2 hull with 3 shield left. If I could have gotten a two more BMST's on him it would have been done. I have not try any other pilot yet with the ship so I can say for sure whether or not EU would be useful on those ships. But still feel pretty good about Gyro over EU on Ventress.

Soontir likes Stress, Inquisitor likes Stress, Ryad likes Stress. Any other ship with PTL gets stress. Then you have Tactican, Ventress, Stress bot. It's going to change some things for sure. But time will tell. Not so sure that Inquisitor and Ryad actually "LIKE" stress but they can both definitely handle it well and Soontir only likes it one token at a time so there is that. If you want to list people who like it you need to include Rage Tycho, I think he may be hurt the most by the BMSTs. Like is a strong word I guess. but point us still valid.

I think you need to build a list around it. Having multiple ships that can do it. just having one in your list is not that good. But also for 1 point you can have a couple of them in the list just to mess with your opponent. Do they take the stress or don't they?

There is nothing wrong with not having EU on Ventress. She doesn't need it. The gyro is good for her. I personally like Tactican on her. Now you can stress someone twice or you can stress two ships. Good control on her part. Now I have been running 4-Lom with Ketso. It's really good and really fun.

I would agree TLT is probably best, but autoblaster that can add another die is pretty nice. And you can always regen off of your primary attack if need be. I am also not sure about Missiles on Miranda. If anything it would be Bombs with advance Slam. But C3PO is really good on her too. Prevents one damage getting through a turn. Rage and PTL is probably best on Tycho. Although I like to fly Tycho with PTL and Daredevil. So fun to fly that way. Haven't flown Horra yet. I get why you put Juke on. But you will probably use the Evade token faster then being able to use it for Juke. Might think about something different for her.

This has been my list lately. It puts out damage and shuts them done in the process. Pirate Z: BMST's Ventress: PTL, Gyro, Tactican, title 4-Lom: PTL, Title, Beam, EU, BMST's, Katso, FCS Ventress can and in fact does damage. I can either have 4-Lom shoot first with a Tractor Beam to help Ventress and the Z to do more. Then in turn put another Beam token on the ship. Which won't be removed. So now Z is shooting at a ship with -2 Agility. Or I can have Ventress shoot with TL and Focus to hit and put stress and a Beam token on ship for an FCS 4-Lom to come and finish off or at least damage and still keeping Beam token on. Hopefully with beam token pushing closer to 4-Lom to be in range 1 for a possible 3 stress and a Beam token on 1 ship. Next turn Z tries to BMST's the ship. It is just a brutal combo. -
Imp aces are for sure going to be hurting from BMST's in the future. They are so good.

I always have a hard time with Dash and the player that played him. If I could have gotten in his way to begin with that might have worked. But I think I could win just have to work on positioning.

How does it not do damage? You shoot with Ventress tractor beam them. Now 4-Lom is hitting even harder. Along with the Z potentially doing more damage. Then next turn possible doing another damage or two during action phase with BMST's.

I have used her with Lattz all the time. Pretty good with PTL Aces around and with her ability. It make her pretty tanky. But I have found you either have to use her defensively or offensively. Meaning shouldn't run BMST's along with Lattz. -
Dash with Kannon is hard to block anyways you look at it. My main problem today was I played the Z wrong. I got him killed turn 3. Trying to block Dash. He got shot by both ships. Other then against Dash I have never missed EU on her. I have been playing her since day one. Getting three actions with her is really good. You can also use the free mobile arc move as a fake out. Which has worked from time to time.

Yeah. I just used a Z for bumping. First time out I used Fenn with Ventress and a lone Z. The Z just had BMST's. It worked pretty well. -

I ran Ventress with two concord (protector) pilots. They both had PTL and Title. They can harrass and block while she puts damage through. I think 4 Z's with black market could be nice as well. Shuts down enemy PTL's. Might be able to fit manaroo. Party bus could fit in there as well. -
I flew it today except I put A torp on the z with chips. It was Against Dash and Nera Arc-170 It did what it was supposed to. Ultimately I lost because it's so hard to pin down Dash. I killed Nera pretty fast and she had like 5-6 stress on her when she died. Dash was down to two hull and three shields. Against another list I think I could have won.
