  1. I don't think thus is the best list right now in the Meta depending on area. But it's fun to fly and has good synergy. I flew something like this a few tourneys ago. Except I did Keyan instead of Poe(Poe wasn't out yet). It does work pretty ok. But Kyle is a huge target especially with having TLT's on him. I didn't worry about Vet instincts on Jake as I wanted him to move first to try and block ships. So he could barrel roll out of arc after he got bumped. Helped him get actions off plus gain the focus and get outmaneuver off. I think it has good potential to be a really good list. Just maybe not Tournament levels unfortunately.
  2. Attitudes like this are the reason the meta in many places have evolved into a high PS race. There's nothing wrong with blue ace. His ability gives you positional options. Position is powerful, but only if you know how to use it. To get value out of blue ace, you have to figure out ways to put him in key spots. Like using him as a blocker. Using him to deny Soontir's barrel roll (so he can't arc-dodge, for example). There's all kinds of tricks you can do if you try different stuff out. Being unwilling to try different stuff out just perpetuates a stale meta and doesn't give you insight into different kinds of tactics or styles of play. Not saying you have to of course----if you don't like him, fair enough---fly what you enjoy. But knocking Blue ace because of his pilot skill is silly. R7-T1 makes a lot of sense on him (along with integrated astro). He doesn't really need anything else. If that's too expensive, you can always throw on an R2 so after a red move, he has more green options (plus his funky boost can put him in all kinds of interesting spots). Same with Luke + R5-P9. Put predator on him and he's golden. Predator means he doesn't always need to spend his focus offensively. Then he can save it for regen. Seriously, try stuff out! There's lots of cool combos out there if you look for 'em That's one problem with tournament play and players. They hear or see a list win and think that is the only thing to fly. I see a ton of people flying Paul's list from world now. It's an ok list on its own. But in Paul's hands it's even better. He knows what he is doing and knows how to anticipate others moves. I love flying blue Ace. He can get into places no other ship of its kind can. If you can exploit that to your advantage then it's a win in my book. I actually like to run BB-8 on him fit some extra cool movement shenanigans. You never know what something does or learn to use it if you don't try it out first. Just saying it sucks because of it PS. That's just foolish IMHO. But to each their own as well. Just my opinions on the matter.

  4. I have flown the Wes, Wedge combo. I prefer Opportunist on Wedge and Vet instincts on Wes. You can do some major damage this way. And droids as you see fit. I also had Tycho with them to harass pilots. It is a fun list to fly.
  5. If you're up against higher PS, then using Rage is a huge gamble which, like you said, could leave you in a bit of a pickle. But against lower PS ships where you know for certain if you have a shot, Rage is incredible with Jan Ors crew. It's effectively PTL but with Focus, TL, and Evade. For 1 pt, I'd say it's probably the frontrunner for EPT options if you're running Jan (IMO one of the best B-wing crews). I am not saying it won't work. I am just not a big fan of it. Like I have said. I prefer engine upgrade for the mod over a crew slot. I can do more with the engine upgrade than I can with a crew. One a Evade is nice against one ship. But against multiple ships? Most of your low PS ships will be in squads. Meaning multiple shots coming at you. Sure you will have help against the first shot incoming. You might even evade two damage if your lucky. But you will have at least 8 more dice coming at you. When you could have boosted and gotten out of arc of 3 or more possibly. Squads are somewhat predictable as well. So you can plan ahead. I also don't like the extra stress. Makes you predictable. You are going to do you 1's or a 2 straight. Makes you easier to block. Then you will not have stress or evade tokens to help out both offensively or defensively. That's just my thinking on the matter.
  6. I do this this sometimes. I also swap Vader for Whisper of course you have to drop an Academy though. I took 3rd at a tourney with this list. Got out of top two because I made a foolish mistake with Whisper. It was a long day.
  7. Why take the title on the y-wing if you don't have the stress bot? The TLT's would be more useful with a turret.

  9. I have been flying lately. Blue: Sensors Blue: Sensors Blue Novice: R2, Integrated Blue Novice: R2, Integrated It works really nice.
  10. I would do Captive. That always does stress. Jade only does it if they don't have a stress.
  11. I have never played on vassal so I couldn't tell you anything about it. If it works then by all means use it. Just not my style of Keyan.
  12. Yeah I understand. I just hate having stress on Keyan. Of course with the way I use him it makes it very hard to do what I want. You will be predictable every turn though. And what happens if you can't shoot a turn? Now you will have 2 stress and a very tough dial to get back into the fight. It could work for you. I might try it myself to see. But not a fan on paper.
  13. Not a fan of that Keyan build. He is not going to like two stress. But it is a very interesting build.
  14. Poor choice of words on my part... Jan isn't an action but does require someone to take a focus action in order to do her thing. For the purposes of viability it still requires you to spend an action in order for it to work. Fair enough then.
  15. Yeah if you don't use other mods on the B. I prefer Engine upgrade on Farlander over a crew space. If I can get out of arcs I won't get shot. So no need for the evade. I think sensor jammers are around the same level as Stealth device on B's. So I wouldn't use them myself.
  16. Jan is not an action. It's just an ability that can be done once per turn.
  17. Well on Farlander you are not going to focus. So Jan on him is a bad idea for sure. But on Dantels it could be interesting. Of course then you have to use Target Locks for Datntels. Unless you take FCS as well. To keep those Target locks going and to take a focus action to turn it to an Evade. Honestly the way I see it B's are going to die. Just try to get the most out of them before they do. As far as replacing stealth device. Engine upgrade is nice on B's an extra hull point isn't bad if you gave the points. My blue squadron build is just advance sensors. Cheap 25 point ship that can do actions before it moves or K turns or 1 turns. It's really nice to have that freedom to actions and movement possibilities. Heavy laser cannons can be fun but a bit expensive. Mangers aren't bad either. I am actually thinking about running a few B's with a Tractor beams when they come out. Not sure if it would be totally useful but it does sound like a lot if fun to fly.
  18. I agree. Stealth device has no place on a B-wing. That I 6 points you could add to the Z-95. Of course I am not a fan of autoblaster on the B either. Especially on Farlander.
  19. I prefer to fly B's over Y's. That being said they both have their place. But if I was to choose one for a Torpedo carrier I would go Nera Dantels. So useful having 360 arc. Dead eye is pretty useful as well as FCS on it.
  20. I run Farlander: engine upgrade, Push the limit and Advance sensors 39 points. Can out maneuver a lot of ships and still do enough damage to those ships as well.
  21. I just showed a friend this list. He is going to try it out. He has been toying around with Younster and expose already. This just gave him the icing on his cake. Lol.
  22. If you take Ors then you must always take a focus action. If you don't have PTL you are stuck with very little chance to do damage. In my experience you never need to take a focus action with Farlander. The only action I take with him are barrel roll, boost or Target lock. Depending on my position. The Target lock with the removal of stress is amazing. Being able to boost or barrel roll or both is amazing. Being able to do any action and then K turn is amazing. I also like to barrel roll and do a 1 turn to be just in front of were I was turned 90*. Just make sure you don't PTL and do a K or 1 turn. That would be bad. The other player would get to assign your move as you have stress when you reveal a red move. You also have to watch the double action to green move. You lose that all so important stress. I have done it a few times sadly. Lol I am not sure there are any good crew to throw on Farlander. It's to hard for me to lose engine on him.

My original list was: -Keyan with HLC, BWING/E2, Kyle Katarn, expert handling and FCS. -Blue squadron Inc FCS and HLC -Blue squadron Inc FCS and Ion cannon I am curious why you run Kyle on Farlander? He shouldn't have a stress to get rid of. And honestly a Focus is not going to help you much. Stress is going to take care of that on offense. While a focus on defense could help it's not going to help enough. If you really want the focus you could got push the limit and Lando. You might even be able to get some evades out of it. I am also not a big fan of FCS on B's. They are not as maneuverable as other ships. So staying in Los to the same ship turn bye turn is hard. I prefer Advance sensors. It alloys you to target lock then K turn if needed or barrel roll from behind a rock. It opens up so many moves for the B's. These are just some of my ideas with flying a B. But if it were me, my Farlander build is Farlander: Advance sensor, Engine, PTL, Mangler cannon Dagger: Advance sensor Dagger: Advance sensor When the Tractor beams comes out I will probably put one each on the B's. Just for some fun.
  24. I used the slave one for extra ammo. I get two bombs for almost the price of one. I don't see a point it over sinking him with bombs that he may not even be able to drop. It's going to be turn 3 at the earliest to drop a bomb or mine anyways. But YMMV.
  25. So the list did not fair to well. But that was do to very bad dice. First round I had a Bye. Because of how the Bye is I had to play the top player. Palp mobile with Vader and Jax. A couple of bad moves and bumping and not rolling a single evade on my dice I lost within minutes. Shot both the hot shot Blasters but failed to do damage thanks to Palp. Next game was against Vader, Fel and Epsilon. Got Kath killed pretty quick again by not rolling a single Evade. Came back though with Emon doing some damage to Vader and Fel. But could not kill epsilon two shots at range one with Target Locks. One hit 3 focus. Roll 3 focus and got 3 more focus. Ugh! I had Fel dead with a Net. Vader came swooping in to take the hit instead. When I wish Vader had VI it's then. So the list failed because of Dice and me making a couple of huge mistakes. I feel I would like the Intelegence agent though more in some respects. But having the k4 is nice as well. Hot Shot Blasters are so fun with this list though. Most didn't expect it.
