  1. For my player cards I sleeve them all in cheap penny sleeves. Here is where I got them, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Y4HI7A/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As for the encounter deck, I generally don't sleeve, but lately I decided to use a pack of FFGs black sleeves to sleeve them in. Helps when I am playing a nightmare version of the quest not seeing the "Print on Demand" cards on top of the deck and when repeatedly getting destroyed by the quest helps the protect the cards from multiple shuffles.
  2. If I were to split a single Core Set I would divide it such that one person gets all the Corp Cards and the other person gets all the Runner cards. Then after a few weeks or so playing switch it up so the other person gets the other sides cards, especially if you are only playing this game with the same person.
  3. Twins Cities player here as well, looking to get some games in.
  4. I went with 4x B-Wing / TIE Bomber. Then 1x Shuttle / HWK. I am not too sure how these new support ships will play out and if I would ever want to field more then one on each side.
  5. I am a big fan of options, and I think this is a great one. Having just gotten into this game and having a hard time aquiring some of the Mirkwood Cycle my card pool is limited at the moment. So when I sit down to play "Return to Mirkwood" solo this allows me to remove some of the "game ending draws" and allows me to enjoy the Adventure Pack while I build up my card collection.
  6. Thanks for the advice! It looks like the some of the earlier Mirkwood Packs are sold out so perhaps I will just get the Core set for now to try that out then purchase the expansions once they start reprinting them.
  7. Hello all! I play both Netrunner and StarWars LCG but I was thinking of picking up this game as well. An acquaintance of mine mentioned that there is an option to solo play this game and that intrigued me. At most I would be able to have a 2 player game but more games would be played solo I would assume. So with the large catalog available what would you recommend for a person just getting into this game? My primary focus is for solo play but also some games with 2 players. Thanks in advance.

But after reading these posts it seems that people are worried that their order won't be filled due to the product not actually being available. Is this how miniature market works, overestimating the amount of product they get so not all orders get filled? A couple of people have reported that their FLGS orders were shorted, and Miniature Market seems to be a little late getting theirs--which I think is leading to some anxiety that there might not be enough product to go around. But apparently they are shipping orders already, and I had a reassuring e-mail from their customer service people yesterday (for whatever that's worth), so hopefully all of their orders will be going out by the end of the week. I figured a business that does a large volume of online sales and preorders would be pretty good handling accurate and timely transactions otherwise they wouldn't be around that long. On another note the order that I place on Feb 16th has shipped.

All orders that were placed ON or AFTER 2/25/13 will take two days longer as posted on Miniature Market`s own website. If I hear anything new I will be more than happy to let you know but as of 2/26/13 we are awaiting Miniature Market to recieve their shipment (which once again Miniature Market expects this to happen THIS week.) Thanks for posting this, I had the same questions since I pre-ordered mine from Miniature Market as well.
  12. I preordered three myself. Eventually I will probably get a fourth but I want to see how they play first. But I have feeling that they will be a fun ship to play.
  13. Great idea for a post, guilty of making some of the mistakes myself.

  16. So if the better threat to the Falcon is missiles/torps do you think more TIE/Adv. will see some play since they can carry a missle and have a tad more damage soaking ability?
  17. I love it, very cleaver idea!
  18. If you pick the 3 expansion option you are gaining 1 astromech that can only be found in the x-wing expansion. If you pick the Core you get extra templates/astaroids/dice/damage deck. If it was me I would say that the extras in the core set would be worth more then the astromech and I would pick that option. If money is tight I would go with the cheaper of the two options that would get you your free shipping since you already have 2 Core sets.
  19. When I am in a game and I see that there is no way to win usually I tell the person I am playing against and we both try to figure out if there is actually a way for the losing side to actually win or determine if it is indeed a losing battle. Sometimes there is no way to pull out the victory but sometime we figure out some crazy combo / order of opperations that would let the down and out player actually pull a win. Granted this is only in casual games with friends.
  20. I use a 9 card binder sheet and insert the entire objective set into one card slot. I only have the objective card showing so I cannot see the other cards in the set, but I am fine with that. Over Time I will get used to what is in each set based on the objective so it won't be a big deal. As with my constructed decks I store them sleeved in a Deck box.
  21. Thanks for the heads up, glad they finally made some X-Wing Avatars!
  22. Good to see that there are some people playing all around the Twin Cities. My schedule is a bit unprediciable at the moment but I would enjoy meeting up to play some time. I am still learning this game and all of its nueances so at first it would be a bit of a learning curve for me.
  23. This is a pretty good idea. The last game I played I made some pretty bad range judgements and slammed a few TIEs into some astaroids that actially made some damage rolls. Without getting that damage I would of probably won the game. Nohing like free damage to tip the advantage in a battle.
