  1. Is there any other gear beside the Personal Stealth Field that helps with stealth? (Also, is there a master index some where for searches like this? starwarsrpgindex.com is so useful for Saga Edition)
  2. West End Games (d6) and Wizards of the Coast (d20 Saga) both produced appropriate books for these time periods. Granted neither are for this game system, but it's better then nothing! I look at Star Wars the same way I look at Forgotten Realms, the AD&D stuff is more useful then the 4/5e stuff.
  3. My group is thinking about moving from Saga to the new game and going to maintain our characters. My character was heavily built around lightsaber combat augmented by the Shatterpoint power. It seems like the bottom control upgrade is what I'm looking for, is there anything else I should be looking at?
  4. Well I have a duel wielding jedi who seems very focused on making all his attacks connect. I have another Jedi who basically uses his lightsaber for defense then uses everything telekinetic power (including Force Choak) he can find, he loves to throw everything in the scene.. including the kitchen sink.. at enemies. Lastly, I have a Jedi that's playing very acrobatic/duel of the fates scene style, she relies heavily on shatterpoint.
  5. Here's the thing, unless Lucas Film owns the game system Fantasy Flight is using, there's nothing stopping them from releasing a generic playtest with none of the trademarked properties in the packet.
  6. My group was disappointed that we couldn't use Edge of Empire to continue our high Force use campaign. We were at the time running a Legacy era campaign at the time and now we're running a KOTOR era campaign. Does the beta look like it'd support such characters any better?

How can you call this game star wars without any force powers, abilities, and lightsabers… Have you seen Chapter VIII? Force powers and abilities. Or chapter V? Lightsabers are found in there. Sounds like Star Wars to me! -EF No actually I haven't, was just addressing the original question. My Friendly Local Gaming store didn't order a single copy of the beta or kit because not enough people were interested (heck, this is the same store that didn't order any of the 1e and 3.5 Dungeons & Dragons reprints.) And since there's no PDF out in the wild or here on the store to buy.. yeah. Odd though that there's a digital dice roller.

Since even the "narrative dice system" has yet to be named, people have just taken to referring to it as "FFG's Star Wars Roleplaying Game System." But for a shorter moniker, yeah, "Edge" is apparently being used in common parlance and on the Interwebz I can live with Star Wars Edge…. "FFG's Star Wars Roleplaying Game System" is too unwieldy.

  11. You could always break out an old West End Games books for the legality codes for gear/weapon/etc. Quite simply, npcs give you a hard time if it's illegal to own it. Sure that doesn't necessary solve the looting of everything, but it discourages pc from taking stuff they're not supposed to.
