  1. My nearest event in the UK (Athena Games, Norwich https://www.facebook.com/events/639243483137085/?active_tab=about) is charging £25 or around 31USD which, when you add in parking, refreshments and travel comes in at around £50 for the day. Loving the prizes but it's abit steep...
  2. Thanks for the advice chaps, we agree with what you've written.
  3. So, my erstwhile opponent and I were enjoying a great game this afternoon playing Recover the Supplies. In the game, my opponent transferred a captured objective token from one trooper unit to another following this sequence: Trooper unit leader A claims an objective Token in Turn 2. In Turn 3, Trooper unit leader A activates and moves twice to be next to Trooper unit leader B. Trooper unit leader B activates, performs its first action to claim the token from Trooper unit leader A. Trooper unit leader B performs its second action and moves away from Trooper unit leader A. Now, this was a clever move because it effectively carried the objective token away from an exasperated Luke who was in hot pursuit ? Question is, was it a legal move? I ask because if it is, theoretically, it might enable the relay of tokens across multiple units in a way similar to Strategic in Armada. Page 39 of the revised 1.1 Rules Reference states the following: "When a unit leader claims an objective token, that player flips the objective token from its unclaimed side to the claimed side and places it in base contact with the unit leader. The token will remain in base contact with the unit leader as it moves around the battlefield, unless the unit leader becomes panicked or is defeated. (my emphasis) If a player’s unit leader with a claimed objective token becomes panicked or is defeated, before that player removes or moves the unit leader, they flip the objective token to its unclaimed side and place it in base contact with the unit leader. The objective token remains on the battlefield where it was placed and can be claimed again as normal." As I read this, tokens cannot be swapped between units. Tokens can only be claimed once a unit is panicked or is defeated. Any clarification would be gratefully received (by Luke anyway) ☺️ Thanks!
  4. I found these three images useful when assembling. They show what each piece is and where it should sit. As the chaps say above, once orientated look for any grooves or slots, dry-fit and the rest should follow:
  5. Thanks MC, do you have any specific recommendations you wouldn't mind sharing a link to please?
  6. Hi everyone, I'd like to buy some album / ring binders to store my sleeved squadrons / objectives, upgrades, and ship cards. Can anyone recommend any tired and tested products that are available in the UK please? Thanks,
  7. Thanks once again. On reflection and in light of the feedback addressing some of my reservations I've revised the list accordingly Agreeing with Vergillus, I've dropped one of the APTs. I liked the Admonition and Walex combo but have to acknowledge that I'm likely to be able to fly out of trouble. The relative difference between Red / Blue dice on the Battle / Star Cruisers is useful and, as I'm after predictability rather than range, I've ditched Spinal Armament to free up some more points. I've also abandoned the idea of a dual fighter / bomber screen and gone for a smaller sharper alternative. This has freed up points for another activation with a flotilla and Leia to give me some responsiveness. Here's the revised list: Faction: Rebel Alliance Points: 400/400 Commander: General Dodonna Assault Objective: Most Wanted Defense Objective: Planetary Ion Cannon Navigation Objective: Solar Corona [ flagship ] MC80 Star Cruiser (96 points) - General Dodonna (20 pts) - Gunnery Team (7 pts) - Nav Team (4 pts) - Skilled First Officer (1 pt) - SW-7 Ion Batteries (5 pts) - XX-9 Turbolasers (5 pts) - Mon Karren (8 pts) = 151 pts MC30c Torepedo Frigate (63 pts) - Ordance Experts (4 pts) - Lando Calrissian (4 pts) = 71 pts MC30c Torepedo Frigate (63 pts) - Ordance Experts (4 pts) - Assault Proton Torpedoes (5 pts) - Admonition (8 pts) = 80 pts GR-75 Medium Transports (18 pts) - Toryn Farr (7 pts) - Bright Hope = 27 pts GR-75 Medium Transports (18 pts) - Leia Organa (3 pts) = 21 pts 1 Shara Bey (17 pts) 3 A-wing Squadrons (33 pts) = 50
  8. That's grreat, thanks chaps. Will ammend my list accordingly and post the outcome a week on Sunday!
  9. Thanks alot guys, much appreciated. Love the Walex:Admonition combo. Dopn't mind playing second. After thinking about what you've both written and my style of play here's list deux. My only anxiety is running a reduced fighter screen. I've used the remaining 3 points to buy Bright Hope (survivability) and Skills First Officer (flexibility). Faction: Rebel Alliance Points: 400/400 Commander: General Dodonna Assault Objective: Most Wanted Defense Objective: Planetary Ion Cannon Navigation Objective: Solar Corona [ flagship ] MC80 Star Cruiser (96 points) - General Dodonna (20 pts) - Gunnery Team (7 pts) - Nav Team (4 pts) - Leading Shots (4 pts) - Spinal Armament (9 pts) - XX-9 Turbolasers (5 pts) - Mon Karren (8 pts) - Skilled First Officer (1 pt) = 154 pts MC30c Torepedo Frigate (63 pts) - Ordance Experts (4 pts) - Assault Proton Torpedoes (5 pts) - Lando Calrissian (4 pts) = 76 pts MC30c Torepedo Frigate (63 pts) - Walex Blissex (5 pts) - Ordance Experts (4 pts) - Assault Proton Torpedoes (5 pts) - Admonition (8 pts) = 85 pts GR-75 Medium Transports (18 pts) - Toryn Farr (7 pts) - Bright Hope = 27 pts 1 Biggs Darklighter (19 pts) 1 Jan Ors (19 pts) 1 X-wing Squadron (13 pts) 1 Z-95 Headhunter squadron (7 pts)
  10. Hi gents, I'm off to my first 400 pt store tournament in a a week or so and, with a few games under my belt, I was looking for some feedback on this Liberty list. I figured I'd fly the MC30s in a gun line or as flankers with the MC80 as an overpowered trailer / tank. The X-wings are in there as a fighter screen and, if any are left towards turns 5 or 6, they can revert to bombing. Anyways, feedback welcome - thanks! Faction: Rebel Alliance Points: 400/400 Commander: General Dodonna Assault Objective: Most Wanted Defense Objective: Planetary Ion Cannon Navigation Objective: Solar Corona [ flagship ] MC Battle Cruiser (103 points) - General Dodonna (20 pts) - Gunnery Team (7 pts) - Nav Team (4 pts) - SW-7 Ion Batteries (5 pts) - Spinal Armament (9 pts) - XX-9 Turbolasers (5 pts) - Mon Karren (8 pts) = 161 pts MC30c Torepedo Frigate (63 pts) - Major Derlin (7 pts) = 70 pts MC30c Torepedo Frigate (63 pts) - Lando Calriassian (4 pts) = 67 pts GR-75 Medium Transports (18 pts) - Toryn Farr (7 pts) = 25 pts 1 Biggs Darklighter (19 pts) 1 Jan Ors (19 pts) 3 X-wing Squadrons (39 pts)

    Gaming mats

Ring Kim and order a meter, otherwise you'll be left bamboozled by the World of Quilting (10 cam squares or a 'Fat Quarter'). They'll help you out if you want more!

    Gaming mats

There appears to be a shortage of available mats in the UK. I've sourced a provider of Avlyn's Space Navy fabric in Newcastle. Works a treat! Go check it out on our blog:
