  1. The Frostmarch Expansion was out of inventory at most places this past couple of months. As of this week you can now buy it directly from Fantasy Flight or even Amazon has it at normal retail.
  2. That is what I was hoping was the reason. I love the game. I can't wait for over the next couple of years as we get expansions and the game really widens in options.
  3. I find it hard to believe with the popularity of Talisman that someone has not made custom carrying case for all the expansions. Does anyone know if any company makes card/deck holders that fit this size card?
  4. So I love Relic. I see a lot of people playing it at my local game store. I saw the X-Wing forms having post daily during the first month. Relic seems to really slow as far as forums go. Why is that. Is it because the game is very very straitforward and not a huge need for questions… or is the game not as popular as I see it being locally?

    Pieces parts

I decided to modify my pegs and pawns with magnets. I'm also painting my figures so the magnets just made sense to avoid future degradation of the pieces. They actually hold very well.

  7. If you are playing and endting encouter at the center that just lets you win, I can see how you may feel it is a bit too powerful. I mean the inner tier isn't that hard with loosing life, so if you can get a high life you can make a run. If there are any of the other endings at the top, then you really need to level to over come them. (Plus I feel getting a relic to let you move to a threat card isn't too powerful)

    Expansions

They could easily follow slightly modified skins of expansion concepts they have for Talisman. DUNGEON expansion could be a SPACEHULK with a Relic at the center, and I would love nothing more to see the CITY expanison actually be HIVE NECROMUNDA (or a generic HIVE in that sector).

    Incomplete?

I was heavily into the West End Games D6 RPG 15 years ago, and in all editions the Tie Fighters were faster than the X-wing. So I grew up always thinking that Tie Fighters were faster. The Star Warriors dog fighting game of the 90's also had Ties being faster. The fact that the Ties in the trench crept up on Luke cutting through his wingmen always reenforced that Ties were slightly faster than X-wings.
  10. I'm sort of tempted to make some Uglies from the models available. Especially since I order too many… yes I think I must do this. I like the Idea of Pirates in Star Wars, and well I could cut up 2 each of an X-wing, Y-wing, and Tie Fighter and make a pirate force. I would use the rules and base of the basic ships so the game would be 100% legit mechanics wise, but would look cool. Hmmmm if I actually do this I'll post some pics http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Y-TIE http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/X-TIE_Fighter http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TYE-wing

Without the turret, the Y-Wing is AWFUL. Even when attacking first, the Y-wing (costing 18 points) loses to a TIE Fighter (costing 12 points) the vast majority of battles as long as the Imperial player isn't awful. Even though I have numbers backing my assertion up, I don't like sharing specifics. I don't think I would enjoy playing games with you too much ShadowJak, but I won't share specifics on why.

  13. Cool. Considering 8 out of the 33 damage cards say pilot, this isn't a bad 1 point upgrade card if you are looking how to spend that last poing
  14. Card states: When you are dealt a faceup damage card with the PILOT trai, discard it immediately without resolving its effect. Does this mean that critical hit cards with PILOT get discarded and do zero damage from that Crit damage? That is how I read it, I just want to double check that I'm not making a mistake. Thanks

They will be reading Star Wars books to children in there stores as well as having games and prizes. The local chapters of the 501 Legion, Rebel Legion and Mandalorian Mercs are also participating in the event. I plan on attending not only because I have a young daughter but also to find other Star Wars fans in my area. This could be a great way to introduce the game to those not in the gaming community. I think a lot of fans would want to get involved but might not know about the game. I plan on speaking with the manager of my local store to see if I can set up my table and run demos during the event. For more information on the reading day check out starwars.com Information is on their main page and all scheduled locations are listed on the site. See whats going on in your area! Thank you for posting this. I took my 4 year old daughter down today and she had a blast. She made a Yoda craft, colored, and liked looking at all the Star Wars books (and loves her new Yoda Star Wars Read Day pin that they gave her) She likes playing X-wing with me, and we generally move the ships around the way she wants and roll the appropriate attack and defend and tell a story. In another year or two she will be playing the full rules with me. Thanks again for getting Star Wars Reading Day on my radar. You made a little girl's afternoon
