I'd back burner some weekend chores to head to Lincoln for a store vs store match!
-
I do the same thing as Pierre for Marksmanship. Or a green die for the defensive R2. Most other cards resolve as you choose them so no real need to show anything. The one thing our gaming group is good about is for swarm tactics. We always make sure to choose who gets the bonus before the first person starts their combat phase. "Ok, you're done moving? Here's my this guy here has the swarm." If they forget, tough titons.

Bump to the top! I heard there are some pretty cool prizes for this tourny, too.
-
Isn't this the same place that had like 20+ players for the Kessel Run Tournament back in December???

And yes, that was a reference to a Pink song from 12 years ago.

I'm on a hot streak, baby!! Although I'm starting to get into the part of the standings where you guys all love to see me beaten bloody. This week beating Sean by having my Rookie x-wing make his fully loaded Falcon fly off the map sure helped. As the famous George Washington said: "You gotta watch those base sizes's, kids."
He said that, right? Wasn't it him? Well, it was either him or Optimus Prime. I get those two confused sometimes.

Season 2 in full swing!! With 14+ players each week, this has turned into a true league that i'm very proud to be a part of. I laugh out loud each and every time we play. This group of characters is a lot of fun to play with. Hopefully after my extremely bad start I can move up the standings and see if I can repeat as champion.

BUMP!!
Tomorrow night at The Game Shoppe!! just over half way through the league and its about neck and neck. Come out and play and enjoy the really fun atmosphere. Starts at 6pm but usually if you get there by aroun 6:15 we can get you in. See you there!!

Week 3 of the league and it's all tied up!! Imperials led out week 1 strong with a clean sweep of those pesky Rebs. Then week 2 was revenge week for Wedge and friends as they returned the favor and put a serious pounding on the Imps.
This week we shall see who is victorious…and who is dead! Come out to The Game Shoppe and see if you have what it takes to tangle with the best around. League is still open to enter and buy-in is still only $5. Every Tuesday at 6pm. Usually runs until about 9:15 or there abouts so you can let your wife know you won't be out too late.

-
League nights in Omaha?! Wow, and it's only $5 too!! I will be there for sure. You should too and bring your friends.
-
For marksmanship, I take on of my extra attck dice and just place it on the base of the ship. Same thing for the droid with the extra defense die. Use obviously a green one for that.
-
Just bumping this to the top. As usual, The Game Shoppe in Bellevue every Tuesday night starting at 6pm. There are several of us that play so come on out and have some fun with us. Leagues are starting soon with prizes being awarded.
Depending on the roster, you can see a few of the winning ships from the Kessel Run Tourney such as Slave I or my coveted Falcon!!!
-
Tonight at The Game Shoppe in Bellevue 6pm until 9(ish) - Bring your own if you have them, otherwise we will have all you'll need to suppliment what's missing from your squad.
-
Thanks Sean! What a fun time that was. Everyone had a good time win or lose which was what it was all about. One of these days i'm going to wear a path in that carpet from all the pacing. Man was I nervous. Looking forward to the Kessel Run next month for sure.

Where I play we use a 4' x 8' table and it's perfect. It is plenty of room to throw your movement markers and keep the dice out there and still plenty of room to even keep your pilot cards and tokens out too. I highly recomment this size for anything more than the normal core box set.

That schedule looks good to me.
and I was wrong about the website. It was actually coolstuffinc.com. Here is a link: http://www.coolstuffinc.com/main_searchResults.php?form_search_number=25&search_text=x-wing

Violater, I think its coolstuff.com but i might be wrong. check that one out.
What i do know is next game will be at The Game Shoppe in Bellevue on 10/30/12 at 1800hrs. Between all the players we can easliy field 300pt teams so come out with your minis or don't, there are enough minis to go around. If enough players show up there will be prizes. So come out and test your skill or just have fun. After all, that's what it's all about. It's even in the rules book! Come on Omaha, represent!!!
-
What time do you think you'll be there? I'm interested and will bring my stuff as well. You never know when a 200pt match will break out. Also, do you know if they allow outside food in there? Tons of fast food places around there so I might just roll in with my dinner.

I think a cool idea would be to have new pilot cards but nothing new or fancy about them other than it might be one of the game designers or something like that. They could have their own person specific art on the card along with their name with a dot by it. Prizes are all about bragging rights and I think having a few of those would be something to be proud of.

I will be coming out to the Game Shoppe Oct 4th after work to see who all will be playing some X-Wing. I have the core and each of the expansions but it looks like there will be plenty of stuff there already. Then since my schedule is pretty packed already for Nuke-Con, I was looking to sneak a game in Sunday morning at 9am. I run a game at noon so I figure 3 hours is about right.
