  1. During our normal league seasons we run two matches each league night. They are timed at 75 minutes each unless we have a special event running for the second match. This helps to keep the skills for tournament play sharp. I am a firm believer that you practice like you play so when a tournament comes around, you know what you and your list can do in the allotted time.

  2. A couple changes were made to the announcement. The tournament as it stands right now will be 5 preliminary rounds followed by a cut to a single elimination bracket of top 8.  Also Acrylic Evade Tokens will be given out to 9-16 place. Any questions, feel free to email me at xwingtoman@aol.com

  3. I can't see any reason why Imperial Aces will not be legal by that time, but I doubt the Rebel Transport's pilots and upgrades will be legal.

Also, I suspect almost all of the regionals will be one-day events.  Expect a full day!  For example, 64 players will be 5 rounds, a top 8 (3 more rounds), and hopefully one or more breaks for food.  With just the 8 rounds of play, that's 10 hours of play not including time between rounds or breaks.

Paul, The Bellevue Nebraska regional is building in two breaks. It will be a long day. If we hit more than 64, we may move to a top 16, but will have to see. We are currently at 40 with a month to go. Looking forward to a great day.

  4. I have 12 z-95's, and 6 of each of the other ships on order. I rarely play the game, but I demo a lot and run a league where people borrow my ships to test them before buying them. 4 of the z-95's and 2 each of the others are for my son, but we share ships as we need them.

  5. Well, the Bellevue/Omaha group went to 3 store championships on the 29th. The first in McCook Nebraska was won by Nickie Bonar. The second in Ames Iowa was won by Jim Blakley. The final was won by Patrick McDonald in Kansas City. I must say I am proud of the players in the Bellevue/Omaha League going 6 out of 7 in store championships around the region. With regionals upcoming, we can look forward to more great events and fun times. Meeting new people and growing the community is what X-Wing is all about.

  6. There are 3 that day That Omaha Players are attending. 3 of us are going to Ames. 3 to McCook Nebraska, and at least 2 to KC on the 29th. Will be a busy day. I believe all of the KC players will be staying in KC unless a few trickle out to Ames to try their luck. I am looking forward to Ames and helping them out as much as I can.

  7. Hawk, The store decides on limits. The Bellevue Nebraska regional is not setting a cap. We are having a pre-registration due to the 64 cards that are with the kit. The first 64 will get one, then a wait list will be created in case someone doesn't show who pre-registered. There is not a player cap though.

  8. What is the max number of people per event?  The event near me is not pre-registering which I thought was kind of odd.  Which means if you drive hours to get to the event you still might not get to play?

The max # is up to the store. For the Bellevue Nebraska regional, there is no player limit. We can accommodate 100+ players. I am taking pre-registrations because there are only 64 cards. If more players come, then they will get to play just no card. The more the merrier in my book.

  9. For those planning on attending the Regional I would pre register before the day of. The first 64 that register will get the promo cards. There is not a player cut off, but 64 cards may go quickly. To register, please send me an email with the subject header of Regional Registration. In the body of the email please put your name, where you are from, and any contact info you wish to give out. I will be creating a list as they come in, but I will also be saving all of the emails for future reference. Thanks all. I hope to see everyone on May 3rd.
