  1. In town for work through the 16th, looking for flight time at a local LGS.
  2. There was at least one Dash Rendar in the field that was hoping you'd get the Z's out on the mat again... There's always Toronto again. Like I said; you bring the Z's, I'll bring the coffees. See you in the parking lot at dawn! Challenge accepted, 6/25 awaits.
  3. Given I'm partial to Rebel swarms my TalaBand would do better v Toiletseats but I will say I had to gut out the W's vs the Toiletseats. There were Toiletseats a plenty in the field but the draw is what the draw is, simply be the better pilot and get favorable dice results.
  4. Better late than never... I arrived back yesterday to Houston only to get inundated by the April 18th monsoon. Nevertheless I will do up a proper batrep on Saturday's amazing event in Rochester. As the Juggler will attest to, I have always been a Zed Swarm advocate and having lost at two Regional final tables with them I almost ended up going that way again on Saturday. However as random chance would dictate I had three lists prepared and written up, fate decided that I was going to run Chihuahua Storm. 5x GSP + AWTP + CR + Adaptability + Crack Shot + AT Went 5-1 in swiss, faced (4) IMP Aces (3) of which with Poppa Palpy. (1) Super Derp/PoPo Platter and a standard Triple Toiletseat with Plasmas & Robert A. Fett esq. Only loss was a close match to one of the Palpy/Ace 60-43 In Top 8 vs Kelvin it was all A-wings all the time, he ran Raging Tycho w/Prockets, Super Jake w/Prockets and (2) Protius type A's In Top 4 vs Dany faced double Lothal Rebs w/FCS accompanied by Biggy Fries Darklighter with R4 and IA. In Final vs my pal The Grassman faced his Triple Toiletseat sans Fett. A great day for the A-wing and the Rebellion!
  5. Ettin Games SC in Humble, TX. 18 Players, standard four Rounds of Swiss & Top 4 cut. Top 4 4th Place - Wes. B Vader + VI + EU + X1+ ATC + Prockets Black SP x4 + Crack Shot 3rd Place - Matt. G Blue SP + Acc Corrector Gold SP + R3-A2 + TLT Gold SP + TLT Bandit x2 2nd Place - David. L Syndicate Thug x4 + TLT + Unhinged Astro 1st Place - Darph Nader Tala x4 Bandit x4 TO to post up on the Juggler. Thanks to everyone who made it out on the double SC weekend, thanks for all of the great matches this weekend!
  6. Woohoo Z-95s! I ran this exact list last season at a Toronto area SC and finished second.
  7. Three out the field of eight were unencumbered by squadrons, I elected to run the Whalepack and had a lot of fun with them yesterday. As Dave indicates there is a lot of the Vette/TLR in the local meta down here so I thought the four Frigate list would fare pretty well after some discussion with a number of my Rebel agents. My list... The WhalePack Assault Frigate II (B) x4 #1 with Ackbar, Lando, EC and X17 #2 with Paragon, Intel Agent, EC and X17 #3 with EC and X17 #4 with EC and X17 Ended up going 3-0 for 18 points on the day, in retrospect I feel I would drop Paragon in favor of another Intel Agent. Regardless I had a blast dancing the big uglies around the field yesterday and anytime I get to play with my toys with others is a good day! Congrats to Dave on his first FFG Store Championship, way to go! How did Lando pay off for ya? Lando didn't trigger in any of my matches but nonetheless served as CPO Snackbar's bodyguard. For the 4 points he's worth his weight if and when called upon, IMO.

  9. Run the eight Zeds but then again I'm biased.
  10. I get up to Danbury, CT now and again. Where's your LGS?
  11. Seek out your destiny at Imperial Hobbies.
  12. Now I'm even more tempted to bring them back... Don't be tempted... Just bring'em to the table! Debating between my modified Tarnation build and 8 Zs now, actually! EDIT: Or hmm, I could use my Homing Zs as well... Just go with the TalaBand, more guns is more guns. Just got to know how to fly'em. I've been very successful for now going into my third competitive season with the Zeds. As the meta has changed/shifted/morphed they remain as my loadstone.
