  1. One more day to get your questions in! We'll take questions about Allies and Adversaries up until midnight (EST) tomorrow night!
  2. Hot on the heels of our delayed Dev Interview with Tim Cox for "Collapse of the Republic" (airing later this weekend), we are pleased to announce our next Dev Interview Episode! Join us on November 17th as we chat with Tim Huckelbery about the first compilation book for the Star Wars RPG; "Allies and Adversaries!" We're looking to gather up your questions about this book now so we have a good crop of questions to pepper Tim with on the 17th, so ask them here! We're excited to be reviewing this book as "A&A" contains my first published work for the Star Wars RPG! GM Chris may need to call in reinforcements, since I will possibly be answering several questions about the book myself. So post your questions here! We'll collect them up to 11:59pm on Wednesday the 13th. (Please remember, only questions about "Allies and Adversaries" can be answered.) And tune in this Sunday night at 7pm central for our "Collapse of the Republic" episode with Tim Cox! https://www.facebook.com/order66podcast/
  3. We had a slight "delay of game" this past weekend, and will be having our Dev Interview with Tim Cox this Sunday at 7pm Central. Hope you'll join us and listen in on Facebook Live! https://www.facebook.com/order66podcast/
  4. Thank you very much for your questions! Be sure to tune in live on our Facebook Live channel at 8pm Eastern to hear your answers!
  5. Time for another deep dive into a recently released book with the Devs! We're inviting back Tim Cox to talk with us about the second Clone Wars Era book, Collapse of the Republic! We want your questions about this book! Rules questions, design queries, clarifications; whatever you want to ask about this book send them on over to us! (Sadly we cannot take questions about future products or off-topic questions) So post up your questions here, over on our Order 66 Facebook page, or on the official FFG forums. We'll be answering your questions LIVE on Sunday, October 20th! So post 'em here!
  6. These are all solid recommendations. As someone else who suffered with having their BBEG stunlocked by a PC with a Super Sledge (Concussive 2), the next time I have a battle I'm going to have two NPCs of similar threat-level. That will give him the choice of going after the BBEG commander, or tank the enemy beatstick and prevent them from massacring the other PCs.
  7. It would, yes. Starcana is built with a "science fantasy/space opera" tone. The careers, talents, vehicles, and equipment would complement any similar settings. All the species are silhouette 1. The Nidenos are "human sized dino-people". 😉 Some of them are a little taller or broader than most other races (especially the longnecks), but nothing so big that they're considered to be Silhouette 2.
  8. Last call for questions! We'll take questions up to tomorrow night at midnight, then ask what we can on Sunday!
  9. It's that time again, Gamer Nation! We've got a few books that we NEED to do deep dives into, and the first one on our table is the new Clone Wars Era sourcebook, Rise of the Separatists! We will be welcoming lead developer Tim Cox to the show to talk about the first book covering this exciting era, and we want YOUR questions about it! Rules questions, design queries, clarifications; whatever you want to ask about this book send them on over to us! So post up your questions here, over on our forums at d20radio.com, or on our Order 66 Facebook page. We'll be answering your questions LIVE on Sunday, July 14th at 8pm CST! See you there!
  10. Hey man; your call, your game. Play it how you like. Personally I feel there's a huge difference between the survival instincts of womp-rats vs. Tattooine's apex predator.
  11. See previous comment about "medium range" and Fear checks. Even BX-commando droids aren't immune to fear. And probably don't have the best Discipline checks. And I mean, come on; you can always come up with a winning hand that beats anything. But where's the fun in that? What GM is going to enable such a thing to go off without a hitch?
  12. As a comment, the Canyon Krayt Dragon (of which these are the stats for) lives...go with me now...in canyons. Narrow spaces with all kinds of cover, as well as rocky outcroppings they can get cover and concealment from. The Krayt will likely hear large vehicles coming, and probably won't want anything to do with them, so it takes cover. Anyone on a vehicle that gets close enough to fight the krayt is probably within Medium range, the Krayt can then roar at them causing a fear check. If the character generates two Threat (or a Despair, honestly), the character is now immobilized. That nice vehicle that was moving at speed? Well, it now moves at-speed along it's last path of travel because the pilot can't spend a maneuver to steer, probably straight into a canyon wall. Krayts are cunning creatures.
  13. You mean starting Species/Archetypes? They're at the top of page 6.
  14. It has it's place. I'm not sure I'd ever let a player stagger a target with a successful Negotiation check without this talent. Make them hesitate and apply Setback dice, sure. Maybe I'd let them stagger a target with a Triumph on a success, but get them to swap sides mid-fight without there being a plot reason to do so? No way. That's the other thing about this talent; you can use it on any non-Nemesis, any time. Dude-who-has-no-reason-to-change-sides, your GM might allow it. And that's the key part... Your GM is giving you zero assurances that you can get your opponent to change sides, even with a Triumph. That's still the GMs call on a case by case basis. But making your opponent lose their next action, once per session? As a Tier 2 talent? That can be clutch.
  15. Not to try to outphysics anyone (not my speciality), but I'd think that if you tried to build a space elivator with the same principals as New Angeles in NY, it would end up slanting into the sky in a southerly angle, and there would likely be all kinds of other forces working against the beanstalk too
  16. Two weeks for Genesys core, if I recall correctly. But yeah, RoT was right on the street date, so hopefully tomorrow! Something appropriate about having a pdf of this rulebook...
  17. Careers are Academic, Bounty Hunter, Con Artist, Courier, Investigator, Ristie, Roughneck, Runner, Soldier, Tech Hacker = Runner Xplosion = Bounty Hunter, Roughneck, or Soldier Rigger = Tech Rogue = Con Artist. Kinda all I got time to do for now, got a lot of work I need to do. I'll have to defer to others to give out more info.
  19. Has this become a problem, or are you trying to head off a possible problem ahead of time?
  20. Technically, Q1 means before April...
