  1. Alright, so in the OL and was using a monster with Firebreath. To activate it I need to roll a surge. One of the heroes (Andy) has an ability that lets him cancel a surge on any attack that targets him. Here's the question; If I attack another player (Bob) and roll a surge, I can use Firebreath. If I count out four spaces and attack Andy, he says since the attack is now targeting him he can get rid of the surge thus negating the Firebreath. I think it only works if you're the Single target of the initial attack. Thoughts? - Nexx
  2. Sorry… "Minion monsters within three spaces may reroll one die per attack."
  3. Hey everyone, So, playing this weekend and I decided to use Beastmen (I have the conversion deck). The Master Beastman has the ability Command. In a nutshell it states "Minion monsters withing three spaces may reroll one die per attack." Does this work for ANY minion monster and not just Beastmen? thanks in advance. Nexx
  4. Ha ha! Dammit Steve-O, you got me. Thanks for the reply. I have no doubt I'll have more questions in time.
  5. Hello once again! Alright, so I was playing with my friends this weekend and I've returned as the OL to play Lair of the Wyrm. So it's my turn and I play Word of Misery (Play this card at the start of your turn. During this turn, each time a hero suffers any , he also suffers 1 in addition to the suffered) Then I attack a hero with a Demon Lord who has Wither (Surge = suffers 1 ) vs a hero who has Zero fatigue remaining. So heres my question. I attack and hit him for 4, he defends 2. Since I hit him WoM makes him suffer a Fatigue (which is now a Health) and then an Additional Faigue (health) becuase of wither. Yes I know i've described this terribly, I'm just making sure I did it correctly. Thanks in advance and have a great week people. - Nexx

  7. Hey again, OK, let me try to hash this problem out. I'm playing the Spiritseeker (Elder Mok) and I've got Cloud of Mist. It lets me spend one fatigue, exhaust the card and while that card is exhaisted, figures must spend a surge to hit their target (within three spaces of the caster) Now, one of the Heroes is playing a Runemaster who has an ability to cancel a surge on atacks that target him. So, with CoM (cloud of mist) in play the OL attacks him and gets a surge, Runemaster gets rid of the surge and blam, the attack fails. Here's the problem. If a monster has Fire breath, (where fire can move up to four spaces in any direction) and attacks Me, gets a surge to use Fire Breath and then includes the Runemaster in his attack, can the RM use his ability to cancel out the enture attack? the combination of his ability and my cloud are pretty strong together. Any help or advice would be appreciated -Nexx-
  8. Just to be clear, you're all aware that resting can only be done as the Second action as it ends your turn. A hero cannot use Fatigue to move, then rest, then attack. The book states "Rest: The hero will recover all fatigue at the end of this turn."
  9. It does not work for Lieutenants. Only Master or Minion monsters.
  10. I'm playing as him right now… as a healer. This should be fun.
  11. Question: if I heal someone within three spaces, do I also get healed as Elder Mok? additionally, if I perform a heal that targets two heroes within three spaces, does Mok now get TWO hearts (since two people recovered health)
  12. If you kill Belthier i encounter 2, does he come back? When you kill him it doesn't say he comes back but under reinforcements it says to place him at the entrance. Help?
  13. I like that idea. Mine was a little overpowerered but the idea of using surge abilities from either weapon is great. We've been playing for like, seven or eight weeks straight, Campaign number 2 will come to a conclusion tonight. Wish the heroes Luck! (And Spencer)
  14. Buncy, you're way too kind. In our first play through I was the OL and won 1/3 in Act 1 and 2/3 in Act two and I won the Finale. Now, Act 1 was a little nuts since I wasn't reinforcing properly, reading things correctly and basically screwing up. Now another friend is OL and he's ruining us. We went 1/3 in Act 1 and are now 0/2 in Act 2. He's ruthless, cruel, picks on me (He Hates my Reanimate 'Spencer') but is playing really well. We all use the Quest Guide once he's read it out so there's no secrets. We've all made errors by misinterpreting a rule here and there and having four sets of eyes really helps. We pick the quest based on it's name, knowing nothing about it (or forgetting if we've played it before) and then he will read it out. Set up the board, place our figures and have at it.
  15. Personally I always liked the idea of if you miss when you have two one handed weapons, you can reroll that attack. You miss with your main Hand weapon and make up for it with your offhand decreasing it's effectiveness. Blue + Red + Red = Blue + Red Blue + Red + Yellow = Blue + Red Blue + Red = Blue + Yellow So you're off hand attack would be weaker but you'd still have a chance to hit. I just came up with that and you know what, I like it.
