    As I'm mainly Rebel player, my ranking may be a bit skewed, as I value imperial weapons by how much I don't want to see them on the opposite side  It is also subjective list, based equally on my preference as on other measures. That said, for me it's:

    1. DLT-19 - these bastards are everywhere, and for a good reason. Best range, great damge/cost ratio, high reliability 
    2. Z6 - in one of those games one will roll 4 crits with Z6. I did, once. It is usually more like 1 hit, but it's a cheap weapon on a cheap platform. What's not to love?
    3. MPL-B - ranged blast, Impact 2. But mostly ranged blast. Sooooooooooooooo fun!
    4.  Flamer - with Snowies a spray weapon got its ultimate platform. Just watch it wreck faces.
    5. HH-12 - great with Veers, so-so with Vader.
    6. Scattergun - simply because I haven't used it yet, I'm so enamored with Barrage Trooper.
    7. MPL-I - Ion is not that great. I prefer to kill armored stuff quicker, for which I need more impact, rather than try to disable them. And I usually ignore ATSTs at all, focusing on other stuff, and that's what Ions are best against.
    8. T-7 - again, ion in my local meta is just too situational.

    I've finally gave them some playtime, and I think they're great! They pack a really solid punch, and my initial expectation for MPL do come true - I love it! In the game I used it, it got two shots, but what the shots they were! First one was from a full unit with aim (they got the missing range thanks to Leia's 2pip), and they obliterated a full enemy z6 unit down to just the leader.  They got hit pretty hard in return, leaving them with stack of suppression and down to the leader and barrage trooper. Later that turn, Leia got rid of 2 of their suppression tokens and early next turn they reloaded and... took down another 3 enemy troopers behind heavy cover.

    Range 3 Blast is awesome, and with the rest of the team (i.e. range 2) it is absolutely brutal. Also worth noting, my opponent used 2 units to some good effect, so we got to see how to work with and against them. Long story short: don't standby, it's a gimmick only ever useful under very specific circumstances.

    Lol, I'm taking a very similar army composition for a spin today (same upgrades on Leia, Luke and Rebel Troopers as well)

    Luke Skywalker (Jedi Mind Trick, Force Push)
    Leia Organa (Esteemed Leader)
    2x Rebel Troopers (Z-6 Trooper)
    2x Rebel Troopers (MPL-57 Ion Trooper)
    Fleet Troopers (MPL-57 Grenade Launcher Trooper)
    T-47 Airspeeder (MoDk Power Harpoon)

    To be honest, I'm just trying out Leia and the Fleets, so I went for T-47 over RT's for better activation control  Might swap it out after a few games

    Most likely some jet troopers (IA style) and probe droids. Not so sure about Dark Troopers, it seems the FFG shies away from Legends material nowadays.

    Leader's right arm matches the ATRT's driver pretty well, same the other way round. If one wants to avoid dual-wielding leaders, try Bolt Action miniatures - there are a few spare arms in most boxes, they fit nicely, and you also get a rifle to put on the backpack of driver with binoculars.

    Well, i'll just laugh at the face of anyone who brought LaseRT or took hh12s over dlts. And I'll cry at the sight of multiple flamers ;) Leia will just be sooo good with trooper spam it will be hard not to try it, at least.
    Ignoring one could be a viable tactic. You usually don't have enought time to kill everything, so choosing something you can ignore helps you focus on the objective more.

    I'll second that! Luke's cards are amazing, and it might be useful to include them as well. I'm working on a list that could perform well with Luke and Leia whilst still providing a good level of activation control, and I decided to go ATRT-less for the first time:

    Theirs, and Luke's. Take Cover means you're less tempted to take Reflexes on Luke, freeing up a slot and points. And the ability to launch him immedately after her could be potentially game changing.

    Rerolls from aim happens before "Apply Dodge and Cover" step of an attack, so it does not actually matter. When you cancel hits from Dodge or Cover, any rerolls had already happened.
    Edit: but, to be more precise, you cannot reroll or change or in any way change or modify the result on the cancelled die. As OP quoted, the cancelled die is removed.

    Shanturin reacted to Ken on Cape in Not interested in playing rebels, but FFG is almost forcing me to buy rebel minis to get the upgrades I want.   
    My new list I have 3 Stormtrooper units. the 2 that came with the core, and the extra one I bought. They all have grappling hooks. But I only have one grappling hook card that came with the stormtooper expansion. I don't want another unit of stormtroopers. But the only other packs I can get grappling hook upgrades are rebel packs. 
    Why did'nt FFG pack in a few copies of upgrades that only come in packs?  I don't want to buy Rebel's just for the cards. 
    I thought FFG was'nt going to do this for this game like they did with X-wing. I'm assuming for official tourneys and events you can't proxy cards.

    If you mean Inspire, than yeah, no arguing here.
    Debatable, i'd say different. Leia is more restricted in that she needs to get 3 targets in LOS instead of 1, and is kind of useless against vehicles. Veers with aim can put some serious dent into an enemy vehicle early on. And 4 dmg on an enemy ATRT, which is not impossible, outright cripples it.
    What are you doing in melee with either of them?
    And this cost is significant, actually. Range 2 is that much closer of being sabered or Maser of Evil'ed. Or both.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Leia is bad - quite contrary, she's great! However, so is Veers. While they seem comparable, I believe they will play quite differently, as others above have stated  Veers is much less mobile, and will feel most comfortably sitting back with two HH12 units, while other, more self-sufficient units go to the front lines. Leia is more mobile, and will likely be in more risk, closer to front lines.
