  1. The Reaper rule sheet says:

"When playing with the Warlock Quest Cards, when a character lands on the Warlock’s Cave space, that player chooses freely one of the available Warlock Quest Cards from among those available in the Warlock Quest Card deck, instead of rolling a die to determine which quest he is assigned."

The Frostmarch expansion rule sheet says:

" In the base game, characters who travel to the Warlock’s Cave may roll a die to receive one of six quests. When playing with the Warlock Quest Cards, players must draw the top card from the deck of available Warlock Quests instead of rolling a dieto determine which quest he is assigned"

I can´t find any clarification in the faq:s about this. Thanks!

  2. I found something really odd in the swedish rules for Talisman 2 ed: The same paragraph (11:6) is worded same as the english, but with an addendum which says (I´m paraphrashing) " Characters that loses their Talisman while in the Valley of Fire loses 1 life point and must return. Followers and objects are lost"

The line of reasoning here is that the Talisman protects the wearer from the fire in the Valley. It´s only functional if you wearing it. If it´s lost..well you burn with everything you carry.

  3. We had a discussion during our 4th edition gaming weekend about losing the Talisman in the Valley of Fire during the 2 ed era. We always played that if you lost the Talisman (and didn´t have an extra or two) you were killed instantly and all followers, gold and objects were lost in the Fire.

Was this the original rules? The memory is a little bit fuzzy, so I´m turning to you, old-timers for some insight.

  4. It seems to me that the rules are not very clear on this matter, so I would like to know why you don´t like the rules that Magic uses? Lifo (Last In, First Out) pretty much handles most of the spellcasting scenarios in my opinion. But I would like to hear your explanation why it´s bad.

  5. We are a bunch of oldtimers (hardcore 2 ed brewers), and we are going to give revised 4th ed a chance. We are going to meet 28-30 december for a whole weekend of Talisman.

Going through the spells, some are concerned that Path of Destiny & Transference will cheapen the game too much: I need some opinon from you that have played with these spells, if they're balanced or broken, fun or boring, etc. I want some feedback, please.
