DurakBlackaxe got a reaction from Ceodryn in New Weapon Qualities
What I had to ask my GM. Was when i bought a superior weapon or armour was instead of improving its crit rating or damage rating. Was to make it out of a lighter but not weakened material. So I lose some weight so could carry more stuff. At 4 strength and only carrying normal gear I am at 20Lb quite often.

I think the dwarf book gives options for superior gear, Or my memory is confused again.
Really difficult what to add to anything so still is not magical

Chained to weapon so harder to disarm.
    Lighter material
    Easy concealed
    Improved damage
    improved crit
    throwable

They can, but as allies. So they could turn on him later on.

Orcs respect strength, they love to fight. But after atatcking the village, they will need something else. They could turn on the Champion, or the beastmen, or leave for another area.
Khornes rival is Slaanesh, as long as the beastman shaman doesn't get a message telling him to attack the Champions forces, all should be good.

I wondered how you found so many people to play for one session, so I looked, and someone mentioned the Barber left, that post was in October.

I have too much free time, at work.

Take it as a compliment, the podcast is interesting enough I am taking an interest

These podcasts recorded back in October last year? If so you must be really far along in your campaign.

Combat in 12 was chaotic. We use stands for combat in our game so we know where we are standing so to stop this confusion.

I think you make a error. With the whip he failed but got enough boons to recover a stress. But its fatigue if they use a physical skill which BS is.

Not making a criticism, just pointing out things we learnt over the years.

Laughing at the method they used to stop the attack.

I am currently listening to 12. I found 11 to be quite slow. Had to listen to it twice, for I dosed off both times in the park. But usually its quite interesting.

Pity you have only 2 turn up these 2 episodes. Cause it seems you are left with two charmers with no combat experience. Makes for a unique party.

When my players get a weapon of superior quality I usually let them decide what they want to apply the white die bonus to. For example a sword that looks very fancy and fit for a noble might give a white to leadership rather than to attack rolls. While an evil looking superior axe might add a white to intimidate checks.

That way the players can add flavour to their own weapons (as well as armour or other items for that matter). So I encourage players to apply their white die bonuses in creative ways to create memorable/more personal gear. Rather than go with the standard +1 white on attacks.

One of my players decided to have a superiour robe which aided in spellcasting (so a white die on spellcraft checks), with the explanation that the character had spent a lot of time adding magical parafernalia to the robes. Suddenly it was disasterous when the robes were drenched in sewage and ripped during a quite failed encounter with the skaven. Had they been normal robes, or even "normal" superiour robes, the player would probably have no emotional attachment to the clothes and would just have paid to get a new set. Now she had to go through the trouble of getting them cleaned and mended before an important party.

    When do you play?
Sounds like you have Australians, Americans and yourself.

Makes for a late game session I would think.

I heard your background sound. Apart from that annoying sandpaper type sound, I quite enjoyed it.
My search skills are terrible. I remember the rold 1st Ed artwork being more popular for showing mutants, but seemingly not online.

    I will try those sites.

    Thanks

Pinterest is very good. I did a mutant fantasy search and found some of the images I was seeking

If you were to rewrite Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. What would you change?

For me it would be the history, so that over time  the dwarves and Elves did have reasons to work together. So players did not feel so awkward with this generic hate.

Also being overweight in FG causes blacks on your rolls.

Ah I didn't know the reusing a charging card was an optional rule.

I am enjoying the podcast, I do not mind issues over TS with bad audio it happens. Do you use text mode in FG?

We also use text chat to RP within the party when the GM and another party member are the main characters in an act. So people talking over each other doesn't get annoying.

I am listening to podcast 3. Are these characters on their second career? I say this as I was sure I heard the their was a pit fighter in episode 1.

Seems you are now up to 5 players. Do you play if only one cannot make it?

You can use that special card that does everything their isn't an action card for.

Do a Intimidate(Willpower), its Willpower what your really testing. You not trying to be scary with your body, your trying to be scary with your mind.

Perform a stunt.  Am sorry, what does se mean?

Observation checks are observation checks. Even if you were using a mirror/hearing trumpet, you just add or removed difficulty. There arent that many action cards that have an Observation check. I cannot remember any at the minute.

According to the rules Perform a Stunt is for any Actions that do not have a card.

On a related note I always wondered about attempting possible actions that you have not bought the card for.  Eg ricochet shot, splint and bandages.  You may not be skilled in it but you should be able to attempt them with great difficulty.

    Without any Spoilers.
What was the funniest/enjoyable moment you seen or played?

One of my most interesting experiences was to do with role switching.

Our charming rogue type decided to not interrogate the people we were dealing with and so my bullheaded dwarf had to do it instead, he tends to hit people that annoy him. With my 3 dice i passed all the rolls.

Then in a hard combat the combat characters were heavily damaged (i took 10 wounds out of 16 in one hit)and this normally run away at first sign of trouble rogue type ( he been running away for a year)went into melee and destroyed the enemy and his one black defense protected him.

DurakBlackaxe reacted to Ralzar in Inescapable Death - Action Card - Soak query
I always count soak as "armour soak" when I am told to ignore it. Otherwise, it is indistinguishable from just adding damage.

For example, an item with pierce 1 has no special effect on an unarmored target while it does +1 damage to an armored target. If it effected toughness as well, it might as well just say "+1 damage", since you will not run into enemies with 0 toughness.

Actions and weapons that have rules for ignoring soak usually have an armor piercing flavour to them. Either through being able to find openings in the armor, punch through the armor or magically pass through it.
