  1. Sorry that my query about how Morr priests look seem to have made the post go off topic.

Just meant to query if from the text in the various products what a priest of morr looked like in pictures, the skull/black rose/ raven was an emblem, totem, belt buckle, necklace etc. My searches on pictures for icons for Morr had turned up nothing.

From the two linked pictures, the warhammer invasion one is sort of how I had them pictured in my head.  The larger one, just didnt appear in my head at all. You think they be more respectful to the bones of the dead, instead of wearing them. But then again from watching Cadfael, the worship of holy bones in little boxes seemed common in the dark ages.

In warhammer, dwarves and Morr have been the interests I have liked the most. I tend to get side tracked when I read about them.

If I could ask, How do you as a GM deal with Augur, forseeing the future via dreams?  The dreams sound to me like your forcing the game to go down a path so the dream happens.  Its actually the one area of magic I find difficult to deal with in RP, future telling. Its okay reading in books as they are locked into the script. Celestial wizards had similar abilities as well.

What do priests of Morr think of Amythest wizards?

    jh

According to the books, Amythest wizards worship Morr as their patron god. Since they are an offical wizard school and it was the high elf mages that orginally taught this magic. Its likely not evil or against the Priests creed.

It also says wizards respect life and death as the natural ending of life, they do not seek to prolong it like necromancers do

You need to test it, most looks fine, but is the Blessing of the Lady action card a bit too powerful, you havent put a recharge on it, so in theory the knight could use it every turn when they are low on fortune until they have full fortune.

Unless I have read it wrong,

Am not sure what happens if you have no fortune and lose 1.

  4. I think I still have my Fimir models up in my attic, from my Fantasy Battles.

Meargh, witch hag, only females, sterile

the Dirach, daemon fiend, daemon summoners

Warriors,  and the elites = breeders

Shearl - Fimir Slaves = weak fimir

Human slaves - woman are used for breeding, rest mostly used for sacrifices to the demons

    Bog beasts

Fen Beasts - not sure if these are the same as the bog beasts as they are magically created from the souls od the dead

Boglars - Allies - sub-species of gnoblar that live in marshes

You need to think of them from the point of view of villagers, Think the film The Fog.

A mist rolls into the village, there are screams in the night, the panic, cant see where your going. When the sun rises, the survivors speak of demons of the mists, one eyed beasts. Armies that enter the mists or bogs are never seen again.  Once they are removed from the cover of darkness and mist, they are easily dispatched.

The whole Fimir history in Warhammer is so very confusing, even the books seems to have different views on them.

From what I been reading, the Fimir were either created in Albion during the destruction of the chaos gates, or if you read the Albion book (page 20) it also mentions them being the first born race. It a very confusing read. It also mentions a Horned God, the father of the Fir Bolg, as they call the Fimir. It also calls them Lochlann and Fomorians.  The whole  book seems to be an attempt to convert Irish folktales into Warhammer history. Also White Dwarf 102 has some info on Fimir and an wfrp adventure called "Theres a One-eyed fellow hiding to the south of Kammendun". (Wierdest adventure name I ever seen so far).

Below is an idea I had while researching the Fimir, since the Albion book came out.

Since there is so little information on the Fimir, maybe after the destruction of the chaos gates, it took 2 years for the high elves and the truthsayers to contain the corruption via the magic circles, on the isle of Albion the storms of chaos created this Horned god who created the Fimir.  But he didnt like what he created, and left.  Then sometime in the future he created the skaven. So the Fimir are jealous of the Skaven. Only basing the Skaven part on your info on their hatred of the Skaven, I didnt read this in stuff I had read.

This is all based on stories though and two gods having the name Horned in their titles.

Before the Albion book, I just thought the Fimir were one of the Old Ones slave races giving the duty to use the mists to hide their research stations, who during the chaos storms got corrupted to sacrificing other races so they could survive. The stories mentioned an Isle of Mists they came from. Since back then we had the Slann of the temples, Zoats of the forests, Fimir of the bogs, Dragon-Ogres of the mountains.  It sort of made sense.

Wasnt there a collection of demons in 1st edition that were just evil and not connected to the chaos gods?  Imps etc. Wish I could find my 1st editon books, I know i sold the 2 books of chaos, but I am sure the summoning spells mentioned other demons for law/Good/evil etc

  5. More dwarven noble careers. I just think the rank 3 and up careers are quite bear.

I agree with more wood elf/ high elf careers

Betonnia, knights of morr + cleric of morr,  Lustria - Slaan, lizardmen etc, more Undead creature stats for the Tomb Kings and their followers.

Didnt they mention they wouldnt do High Elf magic as a high elf mage would be too powerful? Due to amount of years they have to spend in the Tower of Sorcery learning it. they be quite too skilled for an adventurer. Only took 3 of them to win the War of Chaos with Magnus the Pious.

  6. Sorry if this reply is too simplistic, but do you need a big hook? (At work so cant see my copy of the book)

If your ending TGS and moving onwards to TEW. All you need to do is get your players into Averheim and have them staying there a few weeks to get used to the city. Have them do things in the city and surrounding area until your copy of TEW arrives.

There could be, like someone mentioned, an annual meeting of the various churchs in Averhiem, and your 3 clerics are invited to disclose what happened in TGS. For good or ill reasons of course.  Then have them drift into the TEW adventure. Get them used to the religious politics of the Empire as you likely be dealing with Sigmar and Ulric discord. Theres likely to be factions favoring their own candidate for Elector.

    Shopping trip.

    Invite from a Noble/Cleric

Trail leading to the city dries up, while looking for clues, they are introduced to TEW.

What I mean is you dont have to go TGS then straight to TEW, you could have a mini adventure in Averhiem, then start  TEW.

  7. I attempted to make my Dreadfleet and From the Grave character standups. I failed.  I cut them out and glue them together, then found out they were too thin for the stands.  I was stupid enough to do them all at once, instead of just testing with one.

Now I have to find a way to hold them into the stand, thinking some form of plastic to clip into the gap.

But for the next time I get a PoD and have to do this again, I wish to do it right.  What is the best way of doing this?

The card from my local craft shop is too thin, takes 6 to equal the thinkness of the card that fits the stands. I cant seem to see options to obtain thicker card.  I did get some artist paper that is very thick, but that turned out too thick for the stand.

  8. You likely put them in a separte pile cause they were pet types, maybe you put them with the ghoul.

Dont think can give you the stats on the cards, wouldnt that violate copyright?

Is there a mount template for Strange Eons?

    jh

The wrpg3_adds.seext had the components to create a mount template. But wasnt completed.

I created a mount choice.  IF you create one without the mount trait, you could just have it as menial, follower. and call it a Mule. Not sure on the menial trait :)

I didnt update the liberfanactia seext.

  9. Spells - necro

    2 Rank 1 spells

    4 rank 2 spells

    2 rank 3 spells

    2 rank 4 spells

    spells - light

    2 rank 1

    1 rank 2

    1 rank 3

In reply to what Emirikol just said:

Drat, I though with the picture of the grave digger it was his action card. Seems he will need to buy it on character creation then. Doesnt even have traits on it eg basic. Doesnt look as good now in the light of day with the recharge on it, unless your lucky with the dice.

  10. I got my copy yesterday.

Necromancy spells, 2 necromancer classes, 1 ghoul pet with Pact abilities (Talent cards for the pet). Grave Warden. Cant remember what the career ability cards are but.

The Grave Warden skill I like is the one where they can use anything as a weapon.  Shovel power is all i can say.

    Gravedigger

  11. drat it. the other one works okay.

    hmm same code

I looked into it, A } was in wrong place

    Updating the doc now.

Going have to just use the example talent art given and just change the text, as I cant seem to use paint.net to fill in with a pattern background. I do not have photoshop.

Thanks for pointing out the error.  Hehe as a Software tester, I seem to have gotten the developer curse of not testing my code correctly.

Thought be easiler to highlight that 4th and 5th slot is only on advanced careers, and it was more for my benefit than anything.

  12. I updated the liberfanatica.seext and  wfrp3_adds.seext so they had tabs at the bottom for a 3rd and 4th talent

I will, within the week, I shall attempt to get images so can add  Oath, Witchcraft and Any to the option list for the tabs.

I think i seen Yepesnopes with a Strange EoNs career sheet with more than the 3 talent slots, so maybe theres already an update out there I do not have access to.

  13. Just checked there is no Invention or rune cards in the addon.

Rune cards are all unique so be quite a task to create those.  You would need to either create a picture of the rune, or make your own type of card.

Invention cards have a different background than the other cards, it has a cog instead of a shield thing.  But that is far easier to work around.

Maybe in the future I look into those, currently got too many other things to do.

  14. SJMazzella3380 said:

Is there a way to create rune cards? Or invention cards?

Not sure if those are in the addon.  But if they arent it isnt that hard to create the code to create it.  All you need would be the back of the card as a png image, And  a tab called either Invention or Rune. Then just copy the talent ability card, rename it to invention and recode it for Invention card with the new back image for example.

But the one area I am not good at is artwork. Which is why I was asking for anyone whos good at art packages to create the template talent tab I linked above in various colours used currently, no need for the words as that can be typed on top. I think only the core colours are in the current addon. Talent, Reputation, Focus, Order and Faith. Needs the Any = Yellow. And a few others which I dont remember at the moment. Dont remember Invention or Rune being in the career list of options though.

I have coded the career card now to show only the 4th and 5th talents when the type is Advanced. But cant seem to code it to hide choice menu for those fields on the description window, the if statement throws up so many errors if placed in that function. Been over 5 years since i used java so a bit rusty.

I agree, it is a bit much, and I also hope that it contains spells up to or above rank 3.  Early in my WFRP 1st ed experience I had the most fun playing a Demonologist.  I hope this meens that we will see a Demonologist pack soon!  While Im not big on additional Locations, Mutation etc, I would love to see some of the darker careers, high rank dark spells/Blessings.  We could also see career card sized books say about 25 pgs on very focused subject matter. Color or not ,who cares as long at the material is well written?   As mentioned by others I would like to see many of the other careers paths expanded to include advanced, Elite, and Heroic levels.

Not sure how a Demonlogist would work out the way magic works now,  But i did love the Elementalist with the various elementals.

    Great job!

the only thing it bugs me is that i feel your Dark Elves too… chaos followers. Maybe if you place them like pleassure cult? Remember that Dark Elves do not worship the chaos gods, they actually worship the elven pantheon, primarily Khaine (which can be related to Khorne, but that again, is like saying that a Athenea worshipper worships by  relation Odin… not the same ;) )

great idea for the continuity of your campaing, by the way, excellent story line, i may add!

While Khaine is the offical god of the Dark Elves. Some of the Dark Elves also worship Slaanesh.  From Lore sites

The Cult of Pleasure, led by Morathi, played a major role in the Sundering of the Elves of Ulthuan, but was considered heretical after the founding of Naggaroth and was brutally suppressed as the worship of Khaine became prevalent. Centuries passed, and the Cult grew stronger in the shadows and secret places of the six cities.

Their is rivalery between the Cults of Khaine and the cult of slaanesh. According to lore, the Dark Elves are close to a cival war over this issue.

Malekith (The Dark Elf Witch King) hates chaos and Slaanesh, his Mother Morathi runs the Cult of Slaanesh. Hellebron, the current leader of the Cult of Khaine and Morathi's chief rival, who has begun to gather the Cult of Khaine to confront Morathi and her Slanneshi allies.  The funny thing is Morathi founded the Cult of Khaine.

None of the spells or abilities listed, couldnt be used by a Dark Elf Sorcerer.as far as I see. Especially one loyal to Slaanesh, what with a large tentacled beast been created. Since you have her as a Witch Queen, you could throw in some elite dark elven guards. Witch elves , Assassins. I dont know about the dark elf Black Gaurd, they may only be acessible to the Witch KIng.

Could could have that each time the beast is ressurected it gains some form of undead ability, fear, terror, poison, curse, stoneskinned etc. To show the corrupting influence of chaos making it weaker in health but tougher to kill in other areas. Or have tentacles burst from the group and try to grapple the players.

  17.  Searching the web, Heres some notes on Ulric

Ulric is portrayed as a massive warrior, armored in the style of the barbarians who inhabited the Empire several centuries ago. He wears a silver gray wolf-skin cloak and wields a massive waraxe named Blitzbeil. He can take the form of a huge silver-gray wolf. Ulric is a distant, harsh, and unforgiving god, who expects his followers to stand on their own two feet and put their faith in martial prowess. He despises weakness, cowardice, and trickery, and expects his followers to always take the direct approach to solving a problem.

    Strictures

Bravery, self-reliance and strength are the greatest virtues. Underhandedness of any kind are dishonorable and at odds with Ulric's nature of directness and honor. Obey your military superiors and never refuse an order unless doing so would break another of Ulric's tenets. Never refuse a direct challenge. Modern weapons, such as gunpowder weapons, artillery, crossbows and fire-bombs, because they do not rely any physical strength are shunned. Followers of Ulric must never allow one of the fires of a shrine or temple to go out. Oppose Chaos wherever you see it. Never flee a fight unless facing overwhelming odds and the greater good would be served by such a flight.

The problem is your thinking of Ulric worship like a wolf with a wolves mindset.  What you should think of is him as a Honorable Barbarian who relies on strength to deal with a problem. Funny, I always pictured them like a bear rather than a wolf.

Do wolves sneak up on you? I thought they howled and thus gave advance warning? I know they are fast, cunning and fierce.

This is the my view on a Ulric follower on the way I read how a follower of Ulric acts.  = I always pictured them like a bear rather than a wolf.

I also think that a god wouldnt let you access his spells if your of another faith. But back in 1st edition, and maybe in 2nd.  There were general Cleric spells anyone could access, as well as worshipper only spells. So you had more choice.

But how could you have a chaos worshiping sigmaritte if all you had to do was ask him to cast a sigmar spell and if he couldnt he was a heretic? Be too easy.

If you look at the Chaos gods their worshippers get access to Dark magic + their chosen chaos gods magic, from the books I read etc.

Maybe have those other gods spells work to a lesser extent than a true follower?  I dont know as, I didnt forsee an issue, never played a Priest/Cleric.

I send a messege to one of the FFG distribution companies in Europe and they said that they contacted FFG and got an negative anwser. That in the near future there will be no reprints for WFRP 3e system - so no dice packa or any expansions. bestselling  RPGs.

So the only way to get dice packs is via the core then or make your own, drat wish I bought the game when it first came out, was plenty of dice packs back then.

Apart from the dice, what is in the core pack that be any use to anyone?  That you havent already got from the expansions.

There are so many products people are seeking, you think they get those out the way first before they closed shop.

All I can think off the top of my head is source material for the races/creatures for Wood/High elves, lustria, etc. The missing higher level careers.

  19. Took me ages, with the help of people on this forum, think some were getting annoyed with my requests for help, before i found out the reason why downloads didnt work was because of internet explorer.

I use Google Chrome now,  after a couple of attempts downloaded the files correctly. IF you get an error, what it meant for me was the file was corrupt.

If you go to the liber fan site they have the below addons.
