  1. I'm delighted to hear that you like it. It has been playtested well, so you can be sure that printing it will not be a waste of time, and it will change your view on Talisman forever. As for the other games, I'm finishing work on my new project - a beautiful, completely new board game fully invented by me. It should be availible in a week or so on my website, so keep in touch
  2. Controlling multiple characters sounds very chaotic, and may prove to be very problematic. And, from the roleplaying point of view - why does he control those characters? He should simply resurrect the character and get a nice bonus for doing that. Otherwise he's more of a necromancer...
  3. Print it online - it should be much cheaper and with much higher quality than any home printer
  4. Hey, I've prepared a pack with 12 new Characters, which can be included in any Talisman game (as long as you have The Dungeon, and The Highlands expansion). Download link: http://pure-evil.eu/dl_files/12_new_characters.zip Have fun! PS: These Characters are a part of "The Vision", and are for those of you who dont have the patience to print and sleeve the whole expansion (1100+ cards) and want to use the cards without the need of any other cards from "The Vision". http://www.pure-evil.eu/img/newchar/Shapeshifter.jpg For those of you who would like to download the full expansion: http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/93773-the-vision-expansion-more-than-1100-cards-for-talisman/
  5. Hey, I've prepared a pack with 8 new Alternative Endings, which can be included in any Talisman game (as long as you have The Reaper, Dungeon and Highlands), . Download Link: http://pure-evil.eu/dl_files/8_alternative_endings.zip Have fun! PS: These endings are a part of "The Vision", and are for those of you who dont have the patience to print and sleeve the whole expansion (1100+ cards) and want to use the cards without the need of any other cards from "The Vision". They are a bit different from the ones in "The Vision", to work better with the original, unchanged game. For those of you who would like to download the full expansion: http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/93773-the-vision-expansion-more-than-1100-cards-for-talisman/
  6. The card reads: "One of your Followers has been bribed! Characters bid to decide who will offer the highest amount of gold. Winner discards the gold and takes one of your Followers for himself." So: 1. All Characters bid gold 2. Winner chooses one of your Followers and takes it for himself If you will be the winner, then you will not get a reward - but at least you will avoid losing your best Follower. Simple
  7. I am finishing work on a new expansion to "The Vision" which will fix The Dragons and allow them to be use in any standard Talisman game, without all that scale-dropping which makes a terrible mess on the board. It will include 2 new characters, 6 rebalanced and redesigned characters, personal missions for each character and new, easy to play mechanics. And of course lots of new dragons with interesting abilities
  8. The Runestones are a great idea - especially as a mechanism to speed up the game, and increase how much the players can affect their progress. But there is one very important thing that should be explained on the rules sheet, and is the first thing that comes to my mind: Players select the runestones at the beginning of the game - after or before selecting the characters?
  9. At first I didn't have great ambitions of creating the biggest expansion ever - I was just creating content for my own pleasure and to upgrade my own game. As the expansion grew I realized that I could release it for everyone to try it. But since I wanted to fix and enrich each aspect of the game I ended up with an expansion of this size. It took me more than 2 years to finish but I think it was worth it. As for the playtesting: Since its creation, The Vision has undergone huge changes, each card and mechanism was thoroughly tested. The expansion was tested ca. 150 times with about 30 different people. During which time almost each card was changed at least once. Of course the biggest focus was on the new characters, which had to be properly balanced and fun to play. So yes, I can honestly say that it has been well playtested. I know that since the expansion is so huge that its much harder to review than any other - but I think that each Talisman maniac will find pleasure in reading all those cards And for those of you who don't know what to begin with - go for the Missions, they're fun both to play and to read, all my players loved them.
  10. Luna + Lucky.... Well that's a killer combination, but not easy to obtain, especially that you're supposed to draw Pets randomly, not choose them. The Scribe can be a real nightmare, and the Flail is insanely powerful - it should be called "Epic mithril God-slaying Flail of Infinite Destruction" not just a goddamn, non-magical flail... However I find, that mostly these cards are not a huge problem, since I play in a group of 4-5 powergamers who find pleasure in playing to win - and will do everything to achieve it. The effect is that anyone who grabs a too powerful combo quickly gets torn apart by others. On the other hand I'm usually playing with my own expansion (The Vision), where my way to solve this problem was simply adding Relics and Treasures with a comparable level of power, what allows the other characters to get them, and still had a chance against a Flail-wielding Vampiress with a panda...
  11. I would like to present to you The Vision - an unofficial expansion for Talisman: The Magical Quest game, designed to make the game even better than it already is. The Vision consists of more than 1100 new cards, and introduces several new elements and mechanisms, such as: Personal Missions for each character, expanding their stories and personalities Rebalanced characters from the original game 12 completely new characters Spells divided into 4 different schools of magic New Inner Region cards Hundreds of new Adventure cards An Inventory screen and new Purchase cards New rules for more exciting gameplay A lot of... well, EVERYTHING! By combining The Vision with the original Talisman, you will receive a board game of epic proportions, unlike any other game you’ve ever played. Have fun. The Vision 1.1 ENG - Download Or you can download it from my website: www.pure-evil.eu I will appreciate your feedback
  12. As there are new Bounty cards (the "Wanted" posters) my bet would be that he's a Bounty Hunter The man-catcher and the net fit perfectly.
  13. Of course the difficulty is not just a matter of such simple graph. However, my goal was not to make a complete analysis of the adventure decks, as this would require including much more aspects such as the median Enemy S/C (as you suggested), assessing the average boost given by magical items, dividing negative/positive cards by card type etc. But the goal of those graphs is helping the creators of the custom content to avoid making expansions with too many Strenght 12 epic dragons, or too "overpowered" expansions full of magical items with only a few Events. Its supposed to answer the question concerning the proper compsition of your expansion - not "where should I go to get the best items" or "dungeon is bad".
  14. Thee Forsaken One said: Thank you very much. Can see from the percentages that the Dungeon obviously hates players. Its not as simple as that - first of all, the "very good" cards in the dungeons are usually better than those from the highland. Secondly, the high amount of "negative" and "very negative" cards is the result of dungeon having a lot of high S/C enemies - which is not that bad for a strong adventurer who visits dungeon in order to get some strong trophies.
  15. Oberon → No, I'm not one of those mysterious creators of the City, I'm the not-quite-patient sort My project is an unofficial expansion for Talisman on which I have been working for more than two years. I believe it might be the biggest unofficial expansion ever released - and a work is getting closer to an end, so soon you will see for yourself… TheeforsakenOne → Of course, Here are the modified graphs:
