caisa, yes... for the most part (I don't have the card text infront of me, but I can't recall any that restrict whether the ice needs to be rezzed or unrezzed). parasite, no.

Parasite will stay hosted on a piece of ice and continue to accumulate virus tokens if the ice gets derezzed, but it specifically says you can only install it hosted on a rezzed piece of ice.

yes. it provides +3 STR to the challenge, so you still have 3 in the challenge (as long as it wasn't a kill/discard if 0 effect). If that's enough to win, you win.

As a note, even with the title, if they kill all your attackers/defenders, then you have nothing contributing to the challenge and either they win if they have participators or it's nullified if they don't

    1. no, the atachments stay standing, unless something specifically says to do so (i.e. your example of Lightbringer)

    2. Unless it specifies, it means any. Unless it's something like "Discard a [Targaryen] atachment to save a character you control." Then it has to be one you control, because you are paying a cost, and you can't use an opponent's cards to pay a cost for your effect.

    1. If it's opposed, nothing as far as claim, but you can still get renown and/or trigger effects that are dependent on winning/losing a challenge. If it's unopposed, you still get a power from that, though.

    2. You can have either. You simply total the STR of standing characters and gold left in your pool. Whoever has the higher total (regardless of where it comes from) wins dominance.

I'm not sure in play would include plot cards, as I think they are technically considered out of play, but may, in fact be factored into cards at one's command.

I reserve the right to be wrong about this, just my opinion.

which there's only two I'm aware of Sunset for Jinteki and Escher for the shapers

of which Escher is a runner only card and lets them rearrange your ice after a successful run instead of accessing cards.

Sttyca got a reaction from royalfa in This is correct?? How I explain it?
you would need to use the orphan during the player action window after declaring stealth and him declaring defenders (or in this case, no defenders) because the orphan's ability is a player action and, therefore, in the example you provided, could not be used until after the opportunity to use the response on the spear had passed.

this card is undervalued at times. yes, it's not always your best option, but it can be great.

My best game was first turn Home One, Trench Run.

If you can keep the capital ship alive, or play it again later, it doesn't matter if they successfully defend, Home One's ability slowly takes out their other objectives as a back-up anyway.

Sttyca got a reaction from mdc273 in player actions during challenge phase
nope. It's actually in the FAQ timing chart that after a player declares no more challenges, the framework forces it to the next active player, or, if there are none left, it moves it to the dominance phase without a player action window.

Edit: Page 23, if you're interested.

except it is. once you use Kuat Reinforcements, there is an imposed minimum that the cost can be reduced to, no matter what you might be able to reduce it with during the same window... besides, it's an interrupt to playing it, so, the vehicle is already out of your hand and at the calculating costs step of the framework. Currently, this and its Rebel Alliance counterpart, The Defense of Yavin 4, are the only cards that reduce the cost at this step. After the interrupt, you finish counting needed resources, you pay the cost, and the unit/enhancement/event is considered played.

You might make a scoring area and a DS "dial" area and it would be perfect. Just my opinion. Looks really good, though. I like the art on them.

Dunno about Kyle and Thrawn, but Mara is in BotF in a 1 per set objective

The reason they do it is to keep the price point consistent. They do a maximum of 180 individual cards so that they can charge less for the expansion.

Given that there are 3 "one per objective deck" ones, that would be a total of 41 objectives, if they included a play set, making it 246 individual cards, and, therefore, raising the price point. If they did that, then people would be complaining about the price inconsistency of deluxe expansions rather than playsets of cards.

Sttyca got a reaction from mdc273 in Betrayal at the Wall "when revealed" timing
It's a "when revealed," so, if there are other "when revealed" plots, it triggers in the order determined by the first player.

So, if all other "when revealed" plots have been resolved before Betrayal, then the new plot would resolve immediately. If not, then others could be resolved first.

No, I've already gotten answers from Nate for the really important ones. I just hate having to pull up a thread or email to prove it to people when they have te new FAQ and it's not in there.

If it only affected the character that you got out of the dead pile, regarldess of whether it was still attached or not, then you couldn't ever get dragons out of the dead pile, like you can right now with the current wording.

You can probably create your own in word. Just use the dimensions from the pad if you still have any left.
