  1. Thank you, Mouthymerc. I enjoyed reading through your gaming diary.
  2. Thank you for your comments. I will look into the free pdfs.
  3. Thank you for your remarks. Right now I am making adjustments to the first games, The Traditor's Gambit. This is my first time running an FFG Star Wars game, although I have played D&D 5th Edition for a few years now. I wanted to use a premade campaign for various reasons: 1. I am new to GMing and 2. my work schedule gets crazy at times and I wanted something semi-fast to modify for my play group. I have noticed, like you mentioned, that DoD is a very hack and slash type setting so I am working to tone that down and work in some actual role playing situations.
  4. Hi Everyone, I have found a website with the ten pre-made WOTC Star Wars rpg campaign "Dawn of Defiance" and I am trying to convert the first adventure, The Traitor's Gambit, over to the system used by FFG. Has anyone done this before, and if so, can you provide me any tips? Some friends of mine will me meeting over the weekend to build characters from Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, and Force and Destiny to play in this campaign. Thanks for your help!
  5. Has anyone tried running a Clone Wars era campaign using FFG's Star Wars books? I am interested to hear if it is even possible, which I am guessing it could be with modifications. Thanks!
  6. Hi Everyone, I am hoping you all can help me piece back together The Devourer Below deck from the core set. My six year old son last night accidentally knocked all my cards off the table and they are a jumbled mess. I think I have most of it put back together, but I want to double check: The Devourer Below Easy/standard/Hard/Expert card Agenda 1 A: The Arkham Woods Agenda 2 A: The Ritual Begins Agenda 3 A: Vengeance Awaits Act 1A: Investigating the Trail Act 2A: Into Darkness Act 3A: Disrupting the Ritual Location: Main Path Location: Arkham Woods x 6 Location: Ritual site Encounter Deck: Acolyte x 3 Relentless Dark Young x 1 Goat Spawn x3 Young Deep One x2 Yithian Observer x2 Screecjing Byakhee x2 Wizard of the Order x1 Hunter Nightgaunt x2 Mysterious Chanting x 2 On the Wings of Darkness x 2 Locked Door x 2 The Yellow Sun x 2 Offer of Power x 2 Dreams of Rlyeh x 2 I appreciate you help with his!
  7. Does anyone know if FFG is going to produce a tutorial video for AH LCG like they did for LOTR, Star Wars, and AGOT LCGs?
  8. This past weekend I purchased two core sets of Star Wars LCG and I am looking for players in Tennessee, hopefully in West Tennessee, to play to game with.
  9. I would absolutely love a Star Trek LCG and would definitely buy into the game, whether it be produced by FFG or some other company. I played First Edition heavily during the late 1990s and early 2000s and loved the mechanics of the seed deck, side decks with Q-Tent, and the complexity of the game. First Edition felt like you were building and playing an episode of Star Trek. I would like to see an LCG that duplicates that feeling of being apart of an episode. I have been waiting for years now (ever since I learned about LCGs) for a Star Trek game
  10. I had a love/hate relationship with the Ratling faction when AEG produced the game. Do you think FFG will keep the Ratlings around in their reboot or maybe wait a while for their reintroduction. What aspects to the clan would you like to see kept or revised?
  11. After trying the game for the first time this weekend, I purchased the core book and two sets of dice today. I am sure that this question has been asked or discussed before on the forums: has the ten pre-made adventures of Dawn of Defiance been converted to the system FFG uses or has someone made a conversion somewhere?
  12. Hi Everyone, I am considering buying the Beginner Set and I just wanted to hear what people think about this game by FFG compared to what was produced by Wizards with the Saga Edition RPG. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for your comments, everyone. I plan in February to pick up two core sets and give the game a try with a buddy who already owns a core set.
  14. Thank you guys for your comments. I really appreciate it!
  15. Thanks for comments. I didn't know Armada hadn't been released yet.
  16. I am interesting in trying one of these miniatures games and i am not sure which one. What is the difference between Armada and X-wing? What advantages/disadvantages does each game have in your opinions? Thanks for your help!
  17. This is my first time posting on this forum. I have payed Arkham Horror, Eldritch Horror, and Elder Sign many times but I had not played the LCG until last weekend. I play the Lord of the Rings LCG for its solo ability After playing with theCoC core set, the game has my interest. As a newbie to the game, i just wanted to hear from some of you more experienced players what your thoughts are on the game? What would you suggest for a newbie? What expansions should I look into? Since this is one of FFGs early LCGs does the expansion packs come with 3 copies of every card? If not that might be a deterrent for me.
  18. Looking to see if anyone plays LOTR LCG near the University of Tennessee at Martin.
  19. Hello LOTR gamers, I am thinking about trying Lore Pipin, Merry, and Sam as the heroes in a deck yet to be constructed through a solo campaign play through of TBR and TRD. I am worried about the quests in TRD, especially, since the Hobbits are fragile in hit points. I wanted to ask the community how their hobbit decks has done with these quests overall before I set out this weekend on an adventure to destroy the Ring at Mount Doom. Thanks everyone!
  20. @ joezim007: I have been playing wrong. Thanks for the clarification!
