  1. OK, I know we're all fans of Star Wars here, but this forum is not the place to discuss all of SW fandom. I don't want to spend the next 2 years (and beyond) trying to keep up with this game and having to dodge spoilers for the movie. Can we please get a pinned topic here (and all the otherSW related forums on the site) highlighting that this is the place to discuss the game and not the movies. TIA
  2. I think you're defining things a bit narrowly. There's plenty of EU that isn't post RotJ. The way I read the article is that's the only things that are definitely going to the "Legends" banner. Pre-RotJ that still fits with Episodes 1-6 and Clone Wars, and soon Rebels might still escape the Legends banner.
  3. I've got all the droids listed on my spreadsheet under the Items tab: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=drive_web#gid=4 It lists costs and page references.
  4. Hey it's a welding torch right? Assuming that's what Chewie was using at the beginning of ESB, even he needed a face shield to protect himself from it. So, no face shield it'll blind you for a few rounds. Have a face shield, one or two difficulty upgrades for all tasks involving sight.
  5. I think they're focusing on the AoR launch. Which I (and my wallet) are completely OK with. I feared having a release from all three every (or most) months. Hopefully what we're seeing now is the precursor to releasing one book in each game on alternating months. They probably did the hard ramp on EotE just to keep stuff flowing till they had AoR ready to go.
  6. Thanks, let me know if you come across any errors. I'm sure there's a few in that much data.
  7. Now maybe I just don't know how to click a link, but whenever I click this link I get 9LittleBees' excellent adversary cards. Whoops, was on the phone when I did that and must have hit the wrong file for the link. Correct link here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=sharing
  8. I also have a spreadsheet version of a lot of this info as well here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=sharing I haven't updated with JoY yet, but there's not much new equipment there. Edit: replaced correct link
  9. Errr, top of page 81. Item number 8.
  10. I don't have everything in here for the aforementioned copyright reasons, but I've got the base stats (Adversary tab) and their special attacks (Weapons tab, type creature) with page references on where you can find the detail here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=drive_web#gid=0
  11. Yea, this is somewhat irritating... I'll refer to my post during the DC release: http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/99621-dangerous-covenants-off-the-boat-and-shipping/page-2#entry991105 I doubt this will change soon. Which means for me if my LGS doesn't have it today by some miraculous intervention I won't see it till close to the 3rd.
  12. You didn't actually link a spreadsheet. I started one here a while back: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=sharing Need to get back to working on it more.
  13. The reason for this is that Amazon is not actually selling the RPG products. All the entries that are being sold "from amazon" is being done through their fulfillment program. This means that the product has to go from the distributer, to whatever company has decided to sell the product on amazon, then get packaged up and sent to amazon, and then amazon has to get it to their warehouse and process it before it's available for sale. There's horrid lag time involved in all that, and then the seller can set whatever price they want on the product. And since amazon is taking a cut they can't set it at a price that other online retailers could aford to sell it to you directly for.
  14. This does however not mean that they don't have shields that cover the port and starboard. Just that they are not independent from the fore and aft shields. In other words, S5+ ships have 4 shield zones that cover 90 degrees each, and S4- ships have 2 shield zones that cover 180 degrees.
  15. I almost had to cry today. I had been making a group order at CSI for today and was just going to throw this in there. When I went to make the order this morning it was showing as out of stock. But not wanting to hold p the rest of the group I put in the order as planned. Then at 3 I get the email saying that Suns was back in stock.... arrrg. Thankfully a quick call added the book to the order anyway since it hadn't shipped yet.
  16. I realize that FFG is no Hasbro, but they stopped being a "small" company a long time ago. Seriously the only thing they're not doing right is giving me to option to pay for an app that I can play LCGs on. $5 for a core set, $3 for a deluxe expansion, and $1 a Force/Data/Story/Chapter pack and I bet it would be easy money from a lot of people.
  17. I started work on a spreadsheet of this a little bit back, but haven't had much time lately to fill it all in: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=sharing If anyone is interested in helping out...
  18. It allows you to take a second free rank in the skill as one of the two free ranks for it being your initial Spec.
  19. If you can manage to remember what subset of books it might have been in I could probably look it up, but I don't recall the ship by name and there's too many books to go through without some idea of where it might be. Though I do have one other source I can check.
  20. SmartPost is quite possibly the most ironically named shipping option ever. I hate it with a passion, and is why I usually wait till I have the $100 for the free shipping. Then I get my stuff in 2 days in VA.
  21. And keep in mind that those numbers are just to get you in position to but the Signature Ability. You still need the 30 XP to purchase the SA. I don't expect 100XP to be experts in their field by any means, but they're not wet behind the ears either. Being able to purchase an SA takes at least as much more XP earned in play as the standard character "starts life" with through growing up.
  22. So as I stated before the 40/400 thing bugged me because it you can't get to the Signature Abilities with only 40 points expended anyway. So here's the minimum Talent cost for each Spec: Fringer Scout Trader Arch BGH Driver Sudden Discovery 120 100 100 110 140 100 Unmatched Mobility 185 150 150 150 165 150 So my minimum of 100 XP holds, but only in 3 cases. So I ask again, how do these point expenditures equate to a novice?
  23. I thought it obvious, but the XP expenditure shows that someone that is an expert explorer can not access the ability while someone that is a relative novice can. That makes no sense. It is stupid. Not only is the example extreme its disingenuous. It takes a minimum of 100 XP to be able to attach a SA. That's if your lucky that you've got a straight line to the 25 point level and the two 25s needed are right next to each other. How is this person a novice?
  24. OK, fair enough. Still a good resource for telling how to describe the effects.
  25. Actually the Defel originate from the Thrawn trilogy, which is a good series you should read it anyway. But they originally appear in "Dark Force Rising" right at the beginning. The first mention of the name is in Chapter 2.
