  1. So the functionality for the Adversaries are in, now goes the long road of data entry. I've got a bit in already: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/adversaries/ But I'm already seeing tweaks I can do Enjoy.
  2. The weapon's attributes are just data, I could strip off the name, call it a "Karrde's LaserFob" and nothing would be different. I'm not however inputing the few paragraphs of description that each weapon has but instead I'm pointing to that description. If I start dumping rules beyond what's on the pages that say "photocopy for personal use" then someone is likely to come after me. Trust me, I've been hit with a C&D from FFG before.
  3. So I've toyed with the idea of the check boxes myself. I might do that up as an alternate view. C&P, the graphics are just background everything is text so you could cut and paste. Brad could show you what it looked like without the CSS. At most what I'll detail for talents is what's found in the talent yes themselves, not the full writeup that's why there will be page number references in a talent table.
  4. I thought there was an entry somewhere in the CRB, but the HoloNet is what you're looking for: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/HoloNet
  5. So I'll admit that a graphic designer I'm not. I took some of the suggestions. Though I had to fall back to smaller fonts on printing. The h2 thing should have been a no brainer anyway. I'll put this out there: http://swrpg-test.viluppo.net/transportation/starships/category/41/ With the caveat that it is a test site, it might be borked at any time, and the data there is probably going to be out of date unless I need to test out a major DB overhaul for an upgrade.
  6. That looks reasonable for Gear, but what does the Vehicle/Starship table look like. Those tables tend to be much wider.
  7. If you print it gets rid of all the border stuff and leaves only the table. Gets rid of the drop shadow too since that'd be an extra bit of fluff on a printed page. Chrome will allow you to "print" to pdf, or there's plenty of pdf print drivers out there as well.
  8. So does this look better? That's gimp eye dropping right out of the Under a Black Sun pdf.
  9. The choice was because it was the closest I could eyeball to the colors of table in EotE. Based on the AoR beginner book having a different color scheme perhaps a cookie stored option of color choice is in order. Interesting, in my core book they're greenish grey alternating with white. I didn't make it so I don't feel I have any right to complain, just throwing it out there for us old guys that can't see as well as we used to. Ya know I'll admit that a) I have some color blindness issues and b) I've started at these tables so long my vision goes blind, but **** if you're not right. I know my intention was to make the tables look as close to the ones in the book as possible. I don't know where I got this brown from now. I guess it's kinda the color of the titles. /shrug I'll definitely keep it in mind.

  11. Some of you have already seen this in other posts as I've posted links to use as reference on questions. Some of you may also have been familiar with my spreadsheet, but that wasn't quite cutting it anymore so I started to transition with a link there. But now I'm going to officially announce the site: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/ This has been a few weeks of work, and I want give a big thank you to @bradknowles for helping error check and be a sounding board as I worked though permutations of ideas for how the site should work. As stated in the front page, this site is by no means done. I still have Adversaries to put up, I'd like to make things like Weapon Qualities selectable so you can see all weapons with Sunder, and a few other ideas up my sleeve. I'm also open completely to suggestions of what features you'd like to see. Again, I hope people will find this useful, and will enjoy what it brings to your game.

  13. Here's a quick list of the gear they have. JoY: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/book/6/ BtR: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/book/3/ Which isn't much.
  14. I suspect the Mop really should have the Improvised trait, but as it's in the Beginners Game...
  15. There are a few example of this through the books: Chain: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/weapons/302/ Gaffi Stick: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/weapons/182/ Truncheon: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/weapons/184/ Mop: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/weapons/303/
  16. It can if you use Nth child constructions. Not all browsers support it, however. Remember there are still people using XP. Alternating styles works pretty much everywhere and isn't really more work if the script is making the table rows. a) If they're on XP then they need to get off the net right now. b) This is not a business application therefore people are not going to be locked into a browser. The only reason for a home user to not have the latest version of his or her browser is laziness. My tables are defined by percentages, and both mine and DeathStarJanator's respond to browser font resizing. That's usually Ctrl/Cmd-+/- to go up and down.
  17. Actually that can be done in pure CSS without the alternating styles. Like here for instance: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/items_bc/ I had started working on this since I was figuring that my spreadsheet of the same info wasn't quite cutting it any more. Still have data entry for the Items and Weapons, then some extra devel for the rest of the things in my spreadsheet. Guess I just got beat to the punch SS for reference: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=sharing
  18. I have pondered a tab for talents, but I think that the talent trees take care of that.
  19. Yes, I have an index of everything here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=sharing It only has basic stats for the NPCs, and I gloss over the starship weaponry details. But it has the page references for each entry so you get a good gist of the item your looking at then can look up the details in the book.
  20. I've got my spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgqeUlywmES3dDBlSmxvUEpnX3d5VjlWUkhwa0gwZGc&usp=sharing It does have the CRB, and a little bit from AoR Beta. I haven't had the time to put that in, and I would just gut it all when the AoR CRB comes out. I don't think there's much use in permanently indexing the Beta books.
  21. A) I don't do Twitter, because well Twitter. B) My friends on Facebook are actually my friends, they know my opinions on things like this and they are considerate enough not to include me on conversations of this matter. Imagine that, consideration.
  22. I'd still call speculation based on "leaks" close enough, and I don't think I should have to dodge it. Maybe you didn't see this thread: http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/105126-grain-of-salt-time/ and while I didn't read the whole thing I read enough of the first lines to know I don't want to have to avoid that klind of thing in a place meant for this game. If the movie has been released fine. I'll probably avoid any SW based forums from release day till I see it (though I expect to be at a "midnight" showing so that'll be moot), but until release no I don't really want to speculate how "X cool thing" will effect the game because I don't want to know about that thing till I've seen it for myself.
