Interesting and disturbing. The price has gone up at CoolStuffInc, but not notification about adjusting my pre-order. Their policy is worded vaguely about whether there's a price guarantee, just what there isn't a guarantee on. Only a $7 price difference though.

Imperial Assault is at my local distributor
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to El_Tonio's topic in Star Wars: Imperial Assault
Pics or it didn't happen!! But hopefully it did. Didn't by any chance have equally "nonexistent" pics of Stay on Target did he? -
Also don't forget that both Hutts we have seen also have Awkward: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/adversaries/adversary/903/ http://swrpg.viluppo.net/adversaries/adversary/779/ Which applies *3* setback to all Brawl, Melee, and Coordinations checks. So there's major off sets to a naturally high Brawn. As much as I agree that they should be Sil2, neither of the existing Hutts are either.

Stay on Target details!
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to Desslok's topic in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG
Cool Stuff Inc is another good location. Especially in the SE of the US. They're in FL and I'm in VA, and I get stuff quick even on the standard shipping. -
Stay on Target details!
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to Desslok's topic in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG
They usually run a few articles in the 2-3 weeks before the release. And it is on the boat, not sure how long it's been there. -
I was going to respond rather snarkly since they've been up for over a month, but I realized that the closest someone has come to directly posting this is in response to a thread asking for the PDFs.

The base game already comes with 3 squads of Stormtroopers, 3 probe droids, and at leat 2 Officers and EWeb. I know 7 is the most you can use of any one figure set, but I think practically large swarms like that won't be quite as useful. That and point limitations. 4x Storm troopers and 2x Elite Stormtroopers is already 40 points. If we compare what a pack of Stormtroopers would cost (Probably the same as RebelTroopers) and add in a second set of dice. You're looking at a comparison of $57 ($38 online) versus $99 ($69) to buy the core set just to max out one type of figures. Of course the only down side is if they do release packs then they'll probably have unique cards. But on the positive side both XWing and Armada had that scenario and the individual packs were announced before the base game was released.

Ignore me, I swore this was an Imperial Assault thread. -

According to what? The product page is still just showing gray and yellow. Treasury is orange BTW. -
List of Species and Careers
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to Deathwing's topic in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG
I've got the species available here: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/character/species/ Careers and specializations are still a work in progress for me. -
New Smuggler Book Announced!
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to Lancer999's topic in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG
I find your lack of faith disturbing. Every product I love gets discontinued. Then do the rest of us a favor and stop playing games </sarcasm> -
WHAT? this cant be true. I just started buying all their books now they're losing the Star Wars Licence?!? None of what he said is true except maybe the purchase part. Mergers can be different than purchases though. Details here: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=5212 That being said right on the heels of the Asmodee/Days of Wonder merger this is somewhat disturbing. But I'll take the press release at face value for the time being. Peterson staying on as CEO of FFG makes me a little more comfortable though.

Species Master List?
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to Kael's topic in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG
Sorry I've been a bit slack on this. I've had the details in the background of the system for a while I just didn't have the data in for player races so didn't produce a list previously. http://swrpg.viluppo.net/character/species/?order_by=player_race There's still no detail view worth talking about but it does provide the index information that you were looking for. The other species in the list are some background data I use for Creatures elsewhere in the index. -
New Smuggler Book Announced!
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to Lancer999's topic in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG
I'd suspect you'd be wrong. The devs have said several times that they plotted out where and when the races would be. -
The squares/spaces are not defined by the lines. The squares are what's inside the lines. And since the line does not have zero width the upper right corner of luke's square is not the same corner as the upper left corner of the square to the right. Since the wall does follow the path of the line and is not part of the square, tracing to the top right corner of Luke's square does pass through the wall, tracing to the top left corner of the square to his right does not.
-
But there is a wall. There is a vertical wall separating the square Luke is in and the square immediately to his right.
-
But you're not tracing LOS to a corner, simply to a figure. The definition of a wether or not you can see the figure is if you can trace a line between one of your corners to two of their corners. Therefore which square the figure is in matters.
-
Because there is a wall both between Luke and the Storm trooper, and all along the top edge of the diagram. So there's no path around the top of that wall like there is the bottom of it. And while both of the bottom two corners for Luke are visible from the storm trooper since they intersect each other it's not valid LOS for an attack.

What and how many expansions will you buy?
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to dpb1298's topic in Star Wars: Imperial Assault
There's also no reason to ever buy multiples, even for the grunts, Page 8 of the rules reference under Component Limitations: In a campaign, players are limited to the number of figures included in the game. For example, the Imperial player is limited to six regular and three elite Stormtrooper figures, even if he owns multiple copies of the game. -
The base game is "on the boat", the ally and villain packs are still "in development". I wouldn't, and haven't, put them on the same order if you want the game close to release.

Imperial Assault at the printers!
Aahzmandius_Karrde replied to yagyu's topic in Star Wars: Imperial Assault
Makes me glad I preordered separately and didn't wait for the Ally/Villain packs.
