  9. Just a FYI : I happened to come across the "fantasy" coins I had mentioned above: Their web link is here: http://www.campaigncoins.com/ Not cheap but VERY VERY nice!!
  10. What I meant by "real" rulebook is the seperate,, stand alone Players Guide,.. in the PDF version I believe it is called "The Core Rules". What I DON'T mean is the rulebook that comes in the box set,. just the "core rules" rulebook in the box set,.. the other books in the box set are great,.. just not the "rulebook" in the box set,... GREAT coins btw, Jay,.. I assume the black is a permanent marker??
  11. Metal coins are GREAT!! There is a company out of Austrailia that makes some very cool coins for fantasy roleplay games,. can't remember their name but a few min. on google should take ya there,..... The real metal can add a ton of fun to your games,.. when someone wants to steal a coin purse,. have them ACTUALLY try to steal it,.. tie a small bag onto someones belt or to a chairback,.. turn over a 1 min. hourglass and have the player untie the bag WITHOUT making a single coin clank sound,.. if he can untie it without any sound made,. he steals the coins !! This was a good breakup and the other players enjoyed listening very hard for a sound to be made,.. good stuff,... If you haven't played yet,... Your list is, in my opinion, PERFECT! assuming you have the REAL rulebook,.. NOT the core set rulebook,.. That was the exact order I purchased in,.. I mixed in the GM vault (for the extra dice) and the creature vault (just to have actual cards for all the bad guys),.. If you have not played Eye for and Eye from the core set,.. Please,.. Purchase and read about the corruption mechanic in The Winds of Magic,.. there are many, many scenes where it can easily be applied and if your players plan on keeping their characters for future campaigns, you as Gm, will wish you had corruption as an option,.. ALSO,.. Use the Clue Cards !!! They REALLY help focus the players and my group had a blast with them,. just look up eye for an eye clue cards on these forums to find a link to download the cards,.. they really were a lot of fun,... Happy Gaming !!!!
  12. Just to clarify,.. and for full disclosure,.. These cards are NOT my work,... I can barely place an image over another image,.. I do not know who to credit for the cards, they were sent to me a long time ago when I asked for them in the "running an eye for an eye" thread. I kept them on my computer and noticed that several GM's were looking for them so I uploaded to my dropbox,.. They are GREAT work !!, but I cannot take ANY credit,.. If you are getting ready to run the Eye for an Eye campaign I strongly suggest to GM's that they use them,.. I printed mine out on card stock, cut and glued them together and sleeved them,.. the players REALLY got a kick out of them and had several side discussions with cards in hand as to what exactly was going on, putting the clues together,.. it really added a nice dimension to the adventure and helped them to stay on track,...
  13. They should look like this,...
  14. Hmmmm,... not sure if it is my viewer of the file, but when I download the cards from my dropbox the backgrounds on the front of the cards isn't showing up,... Is anybody else having this issue?? The cards should have a background to them behind the wording,.. my pdf comes in with a white background and a small portion of the left side of the center cards is cropped off,...
  15. Thank you all VERY MUCH! ALL very good suggestions,.. To address a few of the above questions... They do enjoy the investigative side of things equally as much as the combat. What I have found is that they practically NEVER "start" the fight. If they are attacked (i.e., the Bucket of Blood tavern while sleeping) they fight back quite well. A few of the problems are: 1. They are new to Roleplay - WFRP3e is their first roleplay game they have ever played outside of WQ. 2. I am certainly NOT God's gift to Gm ing. 3. I am certain they feel as though they have a great deal of time and energy invested in their characters and don't want to see them die ( I view this a s a GOOD thing). Cronvald,.. You are right,.. It has become their "style" of play, and I enjoy the investigation part as well,..however, in nearly every campaign it has caused me to alter the "timeline" of events to such a degree that the story itself starts to not make sense. I mean, those were some of the laziest, good for nothing deamon summoning cultists to ever have graced the Empire,.. Emirikol and Valorik, I think the idea of giving them consequences (apart from all the "bad stuff" that is happeneing due to their lack of "action") by means of fewer XP might do the trick and it hadn't even occured to me to do so. I WANT to see my players characters advance. I know how much fun that part of the game is. By letting them know in advance that failing to act to resolve the situations in a reasonable / timing manner, will result in their characters advancing at a slower pace, that may just give them the little push they need to jump the bad guys when they "know" that is the bad guy,... Thanks so much for your help,.. I will post back with an update of how the "new" XP distribution went,..
