Separate rolls for attack, or to use same? Adding craft to strength, or calculatin separately? If you won by strength, but lost by craft, then both loosing 1 life and turn ends? all in all, my question is about mechanics, when you fighting battle and combat in one time. This might be used when you fighting endboss. maybe then you are not bespoken winner :-) You can't fight with both Strength and Craft, you usually have the pick one if the encounter allows it.

If for example I have 5 Varthrax Scales and I encounter Varthrax, I will get a +5 on my rolls? This will make him almost useless, especially if I am attacking him with craft. That's true. If you collect enough scales, than there is a chance that you can easily win from him by fighting with strenght or craft. But if you go through the dungeon, then your strength is around 22 and you can easily beat a dragon lord So,.. fighting endbosses has always been a big downside. At least with the tower, you must work yourself to the top. We apply a simple house rule to make the final battle feel epic - Dragon Scales only count against enemies from the same deck, but they won't boost your rolls against the Dragon King himself. It only makes sense, right?

Not sure what you mean by saying that the Dragon King is also adding scales from all Draconic Lords - the Dragon king is one of the 3 Draconic Lords and you fight the one that currently has the Crown, right?
  4. 1) Every time a character encounters a Dragon Scale he has to draw a card from the appropriate Dragon deck even if there are unresolved cards from the same deck on the square? For example the previous player drew a Dragon which he didn't manage to kill so both the Scale and the Dragon enemy are on the square. 2) Do the Dragon Scales characters earn help them against the Dragon Lord at the Crown of Command? If for example I have 5 Varthrax Scales and I encounter Varthrax, I will get a +5 on my rolls? This will make him almost useless, especially if I am attacking him with craft.

A:No, he fights only with his strength or craft printed on the card. I am sorry but this doesn't make much sense to me. So during the final battle you will receive a plus bonus to your rolls for every matching Dragon Scale you have but the Dragon King will have a mere 12/12 stats for example? Considering that the Dungeon boss has 12/12 stats as well it makes the final encounter feel like a walk in the park.
  6. Hi there! I recently purchased the Dragon expansion and I have a couple questions I can't find the answers for: 1) If you encounter a Dragon Scale on a square and you draw a card from the Dragon deck which happens to be an item, what happens to the Scale after? Is it discarded once I loot the item or does it stay on the square? 2) Same question as above if I draw an enemy and I get defeated or have a stand-off, what happens to the Dragon Scale on that square? 3) When I enter the Crown of Command and fight with the current Dragon Lord, does he get +1 strength/craft for every Dragon Scale on his Dragonic Lord card or for every Dragon Scale on all the squares in the board? 4) If I'm fighting against the Dragon King and he already has 2 Dragon Scales on his card, what happens if another player draws a Dragonic Scale and places it on his card, will he keep all 3 scales along with his crown, or are we forced to discard them so he will only keep the crown? 5) Same question as above but in case we place 3 Dragon Scales on another Draconic Lord while someone is fighting the Dragon King at the Crown of Command - since he won't receive the Crown what will happen to the Dragon Scales on his card? Will he keep 3 scales without having a crown or will he discard them and place one Scale on the character's square?
  7. I was browsing Talismanwiki.com today and I stumbled upon this card which I had never seen before: Title: Treasure Chest (Dungeon) Card Type: Object You may discard the Chest during your turn to roll 1 die and gain that much gold. If you have the Treasure Map, you may roll 1 additional die and gain that much gold. Encounter Number: 5 So I was wondering, does this card exist or did they forgot to add it to my Dungeon card deck?

They are both identical unless I am mistaken.
  9. We play with our own house rules regarding quests - everyone starts with 3 hidden quests and may choose when to complete them, as soon as he completes all 3 then he teleports to the Warlock's Cave and receives his Talisman. If one of those quests are really hard to complete, he may visit the Warlock's Cave in order to discard the specific quest and draw another random one.
