  1. I would like to apologize in advance for my space bar not working as my epic tale will be run together and a ***** to read. So I have eight players in my group and all of them are bros and a blast to play with. Our RT is fashioned after Han Solo, we have a Blood Raven tech marine, a navigator, a ork, a techpriest (or whatever the RT eqivalent is), a Kasrskin Stormtrooper from Only war, and last but not least our resident missionary that my brother plays like Friar Tuck. We've been playing consistantly for about five years now and have murdered many a beasty in our travels but for some reason they hate Eldar more then most other races ******* around in space. So about twenty games ago the RT decides to start investing money into more ships and elite soldiers. I of course tossed a wrench into the works now and again. After three games of 'LOOT AND HORDE EVERYTHING' the RT approaches me and informs me that they are going to steal a ******* TITAN LEGION. I of course laughed but he was serious. With the help of the Ork and a couple of sacificial cruisers later they had a ork WAAAAAAAAAAAGH aimed at the forgeworld in question where the titans are being housed. Biggest distraction ever? Nope. When the WAAAAAAAGH was stalled they find and throw a spacehulk into it. After the dust settles and before the Orks turn on them they salvage a Reaver titan and get the **** out there repairing it as they go draining 40% of their PF. Noticing that their titan was near completion they call in every favor they've got left to start a crusade of truly epic proportions on a eldar craftworld. Long story short mechanicus finds out titan gets stolen infighting ensues after the craftworld has been decimated and the already mauled explorers die under the mailed fist of the imperium. The reason for posting this is that I need ideas for our next game which is tomorrow. New characters and a new RT.
  2. I once gave my players a Reaver titan that needed a ton of work and repairs… There were eight people playing at the time. The ork, tech priest, and techmarine got together and SCIENCE happened. After the titan was repaired they set about starting a crusade for fun and profit and then charged off at a eldar craftworld. Three months later everyone was dead and epic drinking stories were told. My suggestion. Give them a titan and watch as the neighborhood blows apart around them.
  3. How I got it to happen was rather a blunder on my part. My group for Only War fell apart and reformed with the promise of fighting Dark Eldar. We used the adventure in The Soul Reaver with some slight modifications to get into their classes. I can honestly say that most of my group isn't into RPing but after their time spent at the hands of the Dark Eldar and being betrayed a few times they went from dice machines to grizzled 'You haven't seen what I've seen' guardsmen. I suggest going for the 'WHAT THE ****?!?!?' moments or have a squad member or favored NPC killed/tortured due to actions on the players part. Connect them to their charectors. Lets say storm trooper is afraid of snakes in real life. Find a way to incorporate that so that they start thinking like their player.
  4. ROLE: Player, GM (prefer to be player and if GM expect lots of shootin and OH **** MOMENTS) LOOKING FOR: GM/Group TYPE OF GAME: Online SESSION SPECIFICS: Anything but LARP REGION: US Chicago IL SESSION TIME AND TIMEZONE: Always free to game. GAME STYLE: Flexible preferred but willing to play any. GAME SPECIFICS: Open to most house rules as long as they don't stop me from running around with a bolter in each hand. COMMENTS: I acn play anything and I play well with most people. I can lead, I can follow, I can blow stuff apart in essence if you need a dude to roleplay or blow up that tank I'm your man. (This is only applicable if I am GMing) Expect anything from Chaos to Necromorphs. Will use alot of homebrew rules and allow great flexibility in group and rules. PS: I have most of the books printed thus for Dark Heresy.

  6. I am extremely interested. Any restrictions on what we will be allowed to play as far as races and classes go?

    Aliens in DW

Well the current group has a knack for burning anything nid to the ground in at least five combat rounds or so it seems. Besides I think the acid for blood slowly eating through marine armor would be interesting especially if one of the huggers gets a unhelmed marine…
  8. Sir or Ma'am let me know how many people you wish because if you will allow it I'll be happy to play as long as your cool with me playing a homebrew Chapter from Rites of Battle. If not I'll still play because I wanna break some skulls and steal from the poor to buy ammo for my hellgun!

    Aliens in DW

You all know the movie aliens I hope because those are the bastards I am refering to. I'm looking for ideas on how to incorporate them into a mission or series of missions. Go the stats for them all figured out and how the blood is going to affect armor (going to teach the terminators a thing or two). WS BS S x2 T Ag x2 Int Per WP Fel 45 15 40 41 55 35 60 20 --- Just the generic warrior. Still need to figure skills and talents for it. Any ideas on those?
  10. In the RT game that I run some times we have a grey knight and well basically he negoiates… With a Nemesis Force Sword. Yes fighting is one sided when it comes to 'mortals' but it also led to me using many interesting things also being used in the game as well. You know the aliens from AvP? Yup the RT got his hands on a egg and decided he could sell it. Long story short the grand cruiser they had was burning and full of aliens with only two people made it out alive (Grey Knight and Ork who woulda guessed?). My advice is balance the combat. Marines have been known to be diplomats. Even Space Wolves have marines that are used on well wishing missions. Keep it up with the mission updates I look forward to reading them. My Grey Knight player say 'Remeber to break LOTS of skulls, be scary, and steal as much as your freakish shoulders can carry'
  11. My group having been seasoned players by the time that we played around with that simply called in a space marine they had on ship and he chain-fisted them to death with his termie armor. Second group where I was GM well… They set a HUGE trap using imperial guard sharp shooters that ended with the ork and RT still standing with the other four group members dead… I'd suggest just playing it smart as a player and using them resources and as a GM well… Just play smart and understand while they might be slow in battle they do 'war up' because they were once upon a time aspect warriors.
  12. Thanks for the link on the terminator variants/progression... Now to homebrew some rules for all those beasties.
  13. I used the basic stats in BC to make my necrons... However I made it so that the average necron warrior's rifle does 3d10+10 to represent the sheer amount of FU coming your way. I would suggest tailoring your necrons to suit your KT. Mine is shooty mostly so I figured necrons vs shooty marines = profit. Do what you think works. Also love the Necron Lord profile listed. Used it in the last game and he caused many a headache.
  14. Grey Knight in the group beat the diablodon silly... Then again it did chew apart the DA Assault Marine >.>
  15. DJSunhammer said: On top of that, Terminator armor comes with a built in "dodge" mechanic, there is no need to add another. With my players only one of them has taken termy armor and well seeing how as the -30 agil has put him at a 10 agil I really don't think that dodging would be that good of an idea to begin with. Also go play DoW2 Terminators wear tactical dread armor not wraithbone. Also we all know that writers write whatever they want and as far as terminators dodging a kill shot in a book assume he burned a fate point or tripped on a dead ork. Also dodging in terminator armor is called falling with style.
