  1. It depends on the missions.

The advantage of being two heroes is that they can cover a lot more distance in each round, also the equipment they buy will be twice as usefull...

The advantage of being four heroes is they actually have endurance  strain to use their abilities (endurance is not boosted like life for example). Alos they have more varied abilities for their skills tests and such...

  2. Hey, I had this Idea and thought I would share it with everyone.

If you are an experienced Imperial player and are playing a weaker rebel group (youngsters, Noob gamer or just new to the whole Ia/descent system) you could give your group a FREE group of rebel troopers on each mission.

Not only is this very Thematic but it will also scale down as the campaign progresses as the point value of that group will become relatively
less when the threat level increases as the campaign progresses...

  3. This card is ridiculously overpowered. In addition it's quite boring as there is little strategic impact on the game other than Humans have to go for stars and team upgrades… I feel that much like most of the similar cards that were removes from the playing deck with the FAQ this one should also have been removed (I guess no can due to keep upgrade decks the same size). My quick fix in my playgroup is this: Change text so that you only gain two fans per Reikland Reiver Star player, none for other stars. This at least makes the coach have to decide during the game between goibg for RR stars or maybe pick another one which might have been better from another team… also you now get about 4 fans (but potentially more, or less…) from the card which is more on par with similar cards. Just my two cents.

  4. I have played this game twice so far (2 and 3 player game) and I love it! However this  staff upgrade card is just way too powerfull and has given the victory twice to my opponents!

The card reads "for each star player on your roster at the end of the game without the freebooter ability gain 2 fans"

I mean it must be a typo, at the end of our games teams had between 4 and 7 stars, that means this card alone gives anywhere between 8 and 14 fans!

I think it would be more balanced if it was 1 fan per star.

There is a similar card with freebooters but since they are rarer (and weeker)  It might not be as unbalanced...

I waas basically crushing my wife yesterday and because of that card and the Reiver's team upgrade she won (she had 4 stars 1 was Reiver so both cards netted her a total of 13 points! and it just seemed very wrong.

    any thoughts?
