ImHO buy the original core set. Even if you pay $100-150 for it. The revised set is good, but not as great of value. I bought both because there are no repeats between the two. If you buy revised set, you will be spending the extra $30 on the game tile set anyhow because posters are junk inthe long run.

The containers are definitely AT-43. What a sweet game. The concrete barriers are from AT-43, well atleast some of them are. The sandbags and walls are from my local hobby store. And my ruined buildings are the Imperial Sector from Warhammer 40k. I have other bunkers and terrain from AT-43 that are awesome, but I didn't put them on the board. -
I wasn't talking about a full scale Hindlinberg Blimp. Something much smaller in that style. One that might cover 2 squares on the board. Like a 1 man attack craft. A full blown passenger liner blimp may as well be a 747.

Good ideas. I they move around its gonna piss me off. I love the game Scrabble but can't play it on a board because the freaking tiles move around. -
And also use some plasticard to convert a plastic Easter egg into an atomic bomb for an allied objective marker.

Anyone have a spare Bazooka Joe to convert into Indiana Jones with a whip? And then since the Axis has the Totenkampf hero that looks sort of like the Hellboy Assasin, what about converting a Rhino into a Hellboy?!

I was just thinking of converting up an Ark of the Covenant and having 2 storm grenadiers carry it. Maybe I'm crazy.

After making that post I went out on a near-futile trip to find a Focke-Wolf 190 in 1:48 scale at 9:00pm on a Sunday night. IT would have been too easy if the hobby stores were open. So I went to Wal Mart, and to my surprise they didn't have a single model kit of anything. Not even a car. I even asked an they said they stopped carrying them at this location. So I gave up and went to the grocery store on the way home. Thats where I bumped into a 1:72 scale Me 109. For $6.99 I was going to try to make anything work. I was thinking the smaller scale might work well as a skimmer more so than a fighter plane. I took it home and hit the parts bin. I pulled out a Sentinel walker, a Necron Heavy Destroyer, a Storm Grenadier (R.I.P), and various Knick-knacks. Although I am not done, I feel like I accomplished enough that I can finally go to sleep without tossing and turning thinking about hacking up a model kit the next day. It's a crazy fit on the 1:72 scale but I get to laugh along with you. It's a home brew. That's for sure. If tanks can walk, then planes can hover. Let's break all the rules!

I would like to use a Focke-Wolf 190 as a start for a project. I'm going to remove the propeller and make the nose a bit more like a jet. Probably easier said than done. The Salamander looks like an easy start for a VK model.

Loophole Master said: That looks perfect. If it were me, though, I'd try to spice it up a bit. Don't leave a standard mustang, but add some extra bits to give it that "Weird WW2" feel. I was thinking of a 1:48 scale German craft with shorter and angled wings that looks like it should hover too. Otherwise you would need to factor in too much manueverability.

I think that the Axis should come out with a Zepplin attack craft. The SSU gets a Hind-like chopper, I think the Blimp would be appropriate. Plus we know they are due for some rocket troops.

Should they be printed up on photo paper, or just printer paper? -
I typically paint grunts like him to look good from across the table. That's why the contrasts are a bit more exaggerated than most are used to. Heroes I typically paint for up close.

Lska said: Very nice job, as you say not all the details are well seen here but work on the base is pure awsome! I must say i'm not a fan of the red pice of material below the coat, but still the uniform look good. I did the red and white on the bottom as my little homage to my flamboyant colors that I love. It's hard for me to sit and paint in such muddy colors. I'm already colorblind as it is! I know I showed you some flamboyant models before, but an entire unit is something to see lol.

Special Ops Rangers = 1 Squad?

I would like to see an attachments box that gives you 3-5 troopers equipped with other weapons to swap out in my Ranger Squads. -

Nice! I like the winter trees and stuff. You've definitely painted more of your stuff than me. Are those barricades the downloadable ones your print out and glue together? -

The giant box of units. I have way too many little troops. Inshould get armor 3 command and the hero boxes. Then maybe large walkers. -

I got bored and decided to set up a 5 x 5 table with terrain for a sort of urban brawl. I wanted to see both of my Allies and Axis armies out ofthe boxes. Its so big it was starting to look like a 40k game. I guess I am on my way to a Dust Warfare army.

I really do wish I had a better camera. There is a lot of highlighting blending and shading that dies not appear in the photos.
