  1. 2. Hey all so justvwant to get a few thoughts and ideas on the eay im about to run my deathwatch campaign my gaming group will be using a actual models for both enemies, our own characters, friendly npcs and terrain to run our games in a mix of tabletop and the rpg any good ideas that might help make this run smoothly??
  3. Hey there not a real map as sorts i have note on major locations and sectors of the city. Got the general idea for the layout of altdorf from the elder scrolls oblivions imperial city, if youve played it you may know what i mean. It splits the city into districts such as market district, imperial palace, docks, garden district etc. For characters its a little more then a few notes to let me roleplay them to the players, eg. Warrior Priest Karlan: serious nature, hates outsiders and supporters of other gods, strong sigmar faith etc. as the characters befriend or grow hate from a character i add these to my notes eg. on friendly terms with player 1 And for missions atm i have been sending them on a bunh including various little side quests in altdorf iteself to even hunting down a crazy necromancer who kidnapped a noble daughter. I hope to soon with the designs actually make up character card this will help me keep my citizenry in check alot easier
  4. So this is just to show people with a bit of hard work and a love for the game its easy enough to create a complete world within the guidelines of play for warhammer fantasy roleplay. So the first way i run my games is that i make the players find the missions in the city of altdorf before they can play them. I already have a bunch of missions on the go with different groups of players in my group of ten splitting off and doing their on things. With a bunch of missions on the go a bit of bookkeeping is needed but my players love it. Second is how ive designed the whole of altdorf and its entire citizenry including shopkeepers fanatics, priests, guards, nobles etc. this allows my players to search through altdorf meeting both friendly and unfriendly characters alike in hope of finding quests to gain honour. Honour is my last addition to the rules in the when my players earn enough they will be able to open up other provinces within the empire to explore and well if we play long enough other empires such as bretonnia the worlds edge mountains. Anyways enough of rambling i would love to get some feedback also any other cool ideas gms have on what to add into the game, bookkeeping is no issue to me people ive runa deathwatch gaming group of almost 20 people before so yer please more ideas would be great.
  5. Hey im trying to start up a campaign with my gaming group however the group is fairly large im just wondering if there is a way to get more stance meters without having to buy another core set or lots of adventurers toolkits do any other sets come with stance meters
  6. lolol im a tt player i know the gods well slaanesh is the prince of pleasure btw
  7. To everyone thankyou for the replies i have used some of the information given to figure out how i am going to run my games. As a note i am not a first time Gm ive been running Deathwatch games with around about 10 players for over a year now and have a good understanding of how to do it, but i do believe fantay will be easier with such little need for bookwork. Also i am a strong believer of more players means more fun and well ive run games of upto 15 players before in deathwatch. Oh and no need to tell me history stuff on wfrp im a heavy tt player.
  8. Hey all im a new gm to warhammer fantasy roleplay and i am looking for some tips on running larger groups in the games as the core set is based around smaller groups of 4 or so people my gaming group has about ten people in it at current give or take a few at times. One major question i have is how strong are the creatures and enemies compoared to starter characters in relation with those skull markings what type of creatures are going to make for a level playing field on a first mission? Also what of the supplements are the best to i need another players vault and want to get all the career cards before we begin play.
  9. Cheer mate unfortunately i already have my idea of the archon now all my players submitted extensive background history for their characters and My Raven Guard Tact Marine player has an archon in his story thats sorta his personal nemesis so thats what ima use the archon ive put in the game for genreally to piss him off stealing **** from him etc. and not to mention hes a bad as warrior to boot lol. But i ran the mission last night worked well so im happy now im writting the first missions in the Tau territory
  10. Hey all just looking for some advice on anything at all really, im a new GM and this is actually my first time playing any RPG game so yer. Im currently running my players through the Emperor Protects supplement book missions and they are absolutely enjoying it, although they have asked that they want a mass campaign that sorta just links all their battle off one another. Ive decided to run it through the warfront on the Canis Salient, and the first mission will be reactivating Watch Station Skarpula. They stealithy drop on the opposite side that the Tau Explorers have landed on, and have to fight through not only tau but guardian servitors that have remained active and automated weapon systems, however ive added a suprise at the end, in the library of the watch station they find it trashed for want of a better term and from there they find an archon before he mysteriously disappears, this will be their first nemesis for the campaign along with the Tau. Any ideas on anything else to add guys? Or any tips on what ive already got down?
