mekros41 got a reaction from Hawkman2000 in Lukas please respond so all the neigh sayers can be thwarted!!
This is probably the worse thread I have seen for this game.
This is not the last shipment. This is not the end of the game. Stop causing unnecessary panic.
The whole point of Destiny is for FFG to branch into the CCG market. They want this game in all the big retailers, Target, Walmart... From past experience with other games, they are going to keep fulfilling smaller vendors before they hit up the big boys. So until we see Target and Walmart flooded with Awakenings, we know this set will live on.
That is it.

I don't see a 5 point 5 health with 3 blanks Ewok hurting the game.

Good lord.... why do threads like this exsist... if you aren't happy with the game, walk away. This game will go on. It is going to survive despite your bad feelings. It is a collectible card game. The players who are enjoying it understand what they have bought into.
I have purchased 1 booster box and two starters, plus ten packs. After trading most of the contents in my box, I have built two solid, competitive decks. One of which when 2-1 in our local store tourney on Wednesday night with 20 players. Yes, 20 players on a Wednesday night. I am content. The decks are fun and the group is growing. Already designing deck #3 so I know what to trade for.
So, I had an amazing idea, rather than coming on this thread and posting your sorrows as to what you did not get out of this game, please post what you expected to get from you booster box. Post What you were expecting to pull from a box containing 36 random rares out 67? What were you expecting to do with your 36 random rares?
Not to mention, the gameplay is absolutely brilliant. The character designs are genius. The balance of control and aggro is stunning. This game is here to stay. Love it, enjoy it, play it...

Try and keep some perspective, friend; don't you think FFG knew what they were doing when they got themselves into the CCG market? I have no doubt that they value your feedback, but losing you as a customer was a calculated risk that they were aware of from the beginning, and that's not liable to change now that you've voiced your concerns.
Look, I don't actually want anyone to leave. Chat with us, roll some dice, and enjoy the game for what it is. But if you're still not happy then you need to find a way to reconcile your expectations with reality, because this is exactly how collectible card games are supposed to work.

mekros41 got a reaction from Red 7 in "Green Arrow" list
Love this thread. It has inspired me to play A's at my SC this Sunday. I am relatively new to flying them and only own three at the moment. I have to choose between these two lists:
First List
Tycho Celchu
Expert Handling
PTL
Proton Rockets
Autothrusters
Jake Farrell
Wired
PTL
Proton Rockets
Autothrusters
Gemmer Sojan
PTL
Proton Rockets
Stealth Device
Second List
Tycho Celchu
Expert Handling
PTL
Proton Rockets
Shield Upgrade
Jake Farrell
Wired
PTL
Proton Rockets
Shield Upgrade
Gemmer Sojan
PTL
Refit
Stealth Device
Which would you choose? Or do you have something better in mind?

I personally prefer Autothrusters over shield upgrade. But both lists are pretty comparable. Those are my three favorite A-wing pilots. Good luck, fly casual.

mekros41 got a reaction from admat in Poe, Luke, Ethan
I have just started running this list with a lot of success. It is extremely durable.
Ethan
-Push the Limit
-Advance Sensors
-R2-D2
Luke
-Lone Wolf
-R5-P9
Tarn
-R7 Astromech
Usually fly Ethan and Tarn together, Luke in the flank. Ethan is a beast in the this build. Give it a try, I think you will enjoy it. The Ewing is by far my favorite ship.

True it is a bit easier to pull off against less maneuverable ships, but remember that the majority of players will almost always choose to take either a 1 or 2 speed maneuver while pursuing enemy ships. If your opponent is convinced that he has you in a bad spot then he is even more likely to do this. By using the speed of the A-wing you can set up a traffic jam in front of his ship in the likely spaces he will try to move to, this actually works better against faster ships as usually the slowest straight move they have is a 2 forward. You set things up such that if he 1 straights or 1 banks he is blocked by one ship, then have the three k-turning ships covering the 2 straights and 2 banks. Yes he can 1 or 2 turn out it doing so will leave none of your ships in arc and you will be able to get behind him on his next turn. Also if you are fighting near a table edge you can be pretty certain that he will turn towards the center, most players almost always do.If you create a situation in which your opponent would normally clear the closest ship but he can't fit his ship where it would end up (by covering his 2 straight and 2 banks) then he will still wind up bumping the first ship. This is even easier to pull off on big ships.
It takes some practice to get good at, but done right the fake-break is quite powerful. It has the added advantage that if your opponent moves out of the trap before you spring it you can always turn the fake break into a true break and its cost you nothing.
The next game I play where I use it I'll take some pictures so it makes more sense, I realize it can be confusing typed out long form.
