  1. I am coming back to SW EotE after 2 years hiatus, with brand new players who are new to roleplay. I plan to use the Beginner Game adventure to introduce them, but would prefer to use the full set of rules vs. the beginner rules. Has anyone converted the beginner game characters to full set of rules & obligations/motivations? Thanks
  2. That’s really a core issue. If FFG wants Genesys to live, why don’t they let publish and sell their adventures? I get the fact they don’t want part of their book pirated, but NPCs could be easily represented like the cards where frankly you can’t do anything if you don’t have the book.
  3. I know very well the mechanics, and have no issue with going with the flow from a mechanical standpoint. However, narratively, I am more used to build from a story than create one from scratch. That is basically why Genesys is sitting on my shelf. One of the response hinted to FFG not supporting 3rd party supplements... err, I don’t quite get it, adventures aren’t supplements. For Star Wars EotE, within a few months there were plenty of great fan made adventures, but for Genesys, it seems rather scarce - all energy is devoted to creating settings maybe.
  4. I know Shadowrun would likely work, but the GM needs to know the setting well to translate the creatures or magic into Android's world equivalent style. I had forgotten Cyberpunk 2020, that could work!
  5. I am quite interested in SotB, but while I own Genesys and RoT, I never played either because frankly, I have no time to create adventures or campaigns. Between two toddlers, a demanding job and extensive business travels, I rely on the work of others when I GM. I understand the concept of Genesys, being a toolkit for creative GMs, and I love the narrative dice system (GMed Warhammer and Star Wars), however is FFG encouraging creative GMs to publish their adventures? Is there some kind of license they could do so on drivethru rpg etc? I only found one adventure for Genesys. For RoT, one could take many of the D&D5e module and easily run that, but with SotB, what setting is close enough that one could take that as adventure? (And please don’t say Shadowrun, the whole magic and other races isn’t in SotB). I’d love to buy into it, and run it, but I am just overwhelmed by the need to “create” Cheers Ceodryn
  6. To play without a table full a cards while still retaining the narrative dice system?
  7. It would be fun to have a dedicated podcast. I don’t even know whether this system has a social platform given we aren’t active here. It seems it is played episodically by a few fans for some evening funs
  8. @emsquared I am going to be running some sessions of the game, and went through your house rules. Seems great. It reminds me of the threat and advantage system of the Star Wars rpg, except you focused on the threat only to mitigate the stress. I notice at the end of your file a #10 for advancement, and assume you haven’t completed those? If you do, please share. Thanks again Ceodryn
  9. Thanks! I found your thread and will follow there. Great work!
  10. This is great work! What is your plan in term of Wfrp3 careers, do the skills can easily be ported to genesys?
  11. Is anyone attempting to adapt Genesys/Terrinoth to the Wfrp setting? Yes, I know Wfrp 3rd edition from FFG was a grandfather to the Genesys system, but it is dead (and more cumbersome that Genesys is) Yes, I know Wfrp 4th ed not from FFG Is coming out soon based on d100 system. Yes, I know there are other generic systems that emulate WFRP grim and perilous style. That being said, did anyone attempted or is attempting to use Genesys + Terrinoth in the WFRP setting, and merging some of the WFRP3 stuff? I am currently playing WFRP using other rule systems, but I am missing the narrative dice system.
  12. Thanks for making them available! I am playing another system right now but will definitely come back to eotw.
  13. I haven’t had time to read anything about Genesys but plan to buy it on my trip to the US soon instead of waiting for it to be available in Denmark. I have to quickly find out whether I should buy the dice or use my SW Dice, so I am being lazy and asking this board Thank you! Ceodryn
