    1. Use small wound markers for the NPC Minis on the field.
We used small thick paper counter with numbers on them to represent remaining wounds.

    2. Don't roll on the Criticial Chart for NPCs, make them dead on zero wounds. Speeds up game a lot. Use Critical Charts for important NPCs.

    3. Make yourself a chart on modifiers for different weapons the NPCs use. Because for us counting the modifiers takes usually most of the time.
Lasgun: 50m Single Fire, with half aim +30
Lasgun: 50m Short Burst, with half aim +20

    4. If you want to have larger number battles have a look a the Star Wars Minions, or Henchman in WFRP 3rd Edition. Several NPCs are bind together with their wounds combined. They then act as one entity. If you have four Gardsmen and the group suffers 10 wounds one of them dies. If this full group attacks, each member adds +10 for a test like shooting. So once the group gets smaller their attacks become less and less dangerous.

It is left 4dead Warhammer style.
And I have asked the defs If they used FFG stuff and they Said:
    Hi,
We can't talk too much about it yet but we have for sure looked at Edge of the Night when we decided to set the game in Ubersreik.

Glorian Underhill reacted to jackdays in The End Times timeline & map
I have been updating Warhammer timeline for years, keeping all the current happenings listed. Well, then came The End Times. Now, it very much seems that my efforts are pretty much at the end as the Warhammer world burns... Hopefully not, but let's see how these things play out. But, I did start a timeline for The End Times.

You can find the The End Times Timeline and The End Times Map from my Kaleva Hammer site and from there Universal Rules & Timelines -page.

Here's few notes about the timeline:
Timeline was created to serve Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. To organize the events and to connect them to all the other events published in all the other products. The focus is in the Old World and the Empire. It also has various small other details there and there. It serves years 2521 to 2524 (for now). The End Times do not end there. In fact, they basically start from the year 2525, when all the really apocalyptic events start. But most of the adventures and campaigns for WFRP2 and WFRP3 were created and set to this time period. It is not just The End Times. I have collected previous information from the WFRP sources, WFB sources, novels...etc. and updated those events to this timeline best I can. For example Storm of Chaos (SoC) doesn't anymore happen as it happened originally, when it was published first time. It's rebooted, not gone, but different. So, all the stuff related to that have changed more or less. I have presented few ideas for various WFRP campaigns set to this time period. What might change and how. As for campaigns - For example events of the new The Enemy Within (WFRP3) are now placed on the year 2522 (as they are in the campaign actually) and connected with other stuff going on. Originally I placed them to the year 2521 in original SoC timeline, but The End Times changed this... With this timeline, there is also a map, with various new places mentioned in the timeline/The End Times. I have used the Gitzmans Gallery's Super Huge Detailed World Map. So, this is just the first draft, and we will have too see if I have interest to update the timeline to the end...

Well I am one of those who only dream about such campaign, but I can offer some inspiration source for story and feel. Every time a tank adventure is mentioned I remember the legendary polish TV series called Four Tankists and a Dog (Czterej pancerni i pies), which tells the story of polish T-34 crew during late WWII. I am not sure how available it is in english-speaking world and despite its age and occasional ideological crap, it is definitely worth watching. It also shows what the tank crew (OW squad) do, except driving and shooting other tanks.

There've been threads about that before, and iirc, the consensus was that Help and information for running tank-based campaigns would be needed. We have the vehicle stats, but what do we do with the comrades, how many people fit in a tank, how do we write campaigns that aren't always the same, that sort of thing is what is lacking.
Just more vehicles isn't going to be useful.

Did the war with the Orks and the Severan Dominate come crashing to a halt? Are we friends with the Dominate? Carousing with the Space Fungus? All jesting aside, wth is going on? Shield of Humanity came out months ago, as did Salvaging Solace. We're missing a TON of vehicles, as well as specialties, on top of setting details. Basically, while I live the camaraderie of the board, I'm getting tired of the severe dearth of info in both the Products and Support links. Anyone else heard anything?

    Hey All

Since we're sharing I thought I'd show you what I did recently to showcase my campaign. Like Doc Cthulhu I used iMovie and Itunes though in my case I used still images instead of movie clips. These are also used without permission etc etc.

Just want to share something that I've created for my WFRP sessions, a crawl inspired by Star Wars.

    Youtube - WFRP crawl

This evolved from the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire game that I run, where I use a proper Star Wars crawl to bring the players up to speed on the previous session.

When I started a new WFRP (3rd edition) campaign with another group, I figured, why not use something similar for them?

I've used Warhammer artwork found online (wallpaper) for the backdrop, with sound provided by the Disciples 2 game soundtrack and the Dominican font (but you all already knew that, right?).

My workflow is to create the crawl in Windows Movie Maker 2.6, save it as a 1080p WMV file, then convert it to MP4 for playback on my HDTV through my PS3.

It works a treat, and my group love it!

Glorian Underhill reacted to d6 Evil Men in The Queen of Embers - new fan made adventure available
    Hello everyone.

The Queen of Embers is a new fan made adventure I wrote for WFRP. The events of the adventure take place in Nuln and Wissenland over eight connected chapters and take weeks or even months of the player characters’ time, and several gaming sessions, to complete.

The adventure is written for 2nd edition rules but converting it to other editions of WFRP should be rather a straightforward affair. In fact, I believe some scenes will benefit from certain 3rd edition mechanics.

    Here is a dropbox-link to the pdf-file (1,8 MB): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/29503787/The%20Queen%20of%20Embers.pdf

Doc Cthulhu will make the adventure available on the Daily Empire site soon, once some technical difficulties have been sorted out.

I hope you enjoy The Queen of Embers.

    Hi all

I am pleased to say that Warpstone issue 30, the final issue, is nearly here.

Subscribers’ copies are on the way and hopefully we will be able to get them out next weekend or the following week. If you have got a subscription and have moved address since 2009 then please do get in touch with me if you have not already done so.

Issue 30 is also available in the US through Noble Knight Games It is being distributed in UK by Esdevium I know that Orc's Nest and Leisure Games have ordered copies through them and they will also have stock of issue 27 and 29 soon.

There will only be a limited stock of issue 30. We also still have copies of issue 27 left. I do have a limited selection of other issues that have been damaged in storage and these will made available on ebay soon.

Some supporting material will be made available through the website soon.

    Thanks for all your support.

Glorian Underhill reacted to Ralzar in Advice Needed: Invasion/Attack scenario.
A good starting point is to remember that 2 Characteristic Dice vs 1 Challenge Dice is about 50/50 success/fail ration.
4 Characteristic vs 2 Challange Dice is even closer to exactly 50/50.

So aim for a system where if completely equally matched groups face off, you end up with one of those dice pools.

I am actually planning a new session right now where the players will be trying to charge a village with about 40 followers defended by an equal or greater force. I am going for something like this:

1 Start with a dice pool of 4 Blue and 2 Purple Dice.
2 Calculate what the difference in numbers is and add dice according to this:
For every 5 man the defenders outnumber the attackers: Add a Misfortune Dice. (At three Misfortune Dice, convert them to a Difficulty Dice)
For every 5 man the attackers outnumber the defenders: Add a Fortune Dice. (At two Fortune Dice, convert them to a Characteristic Dice)
3 Added some special rules for special units. For example, a group of armoured elite warriors let the attackers convert a dice to Conservative.
4 Make a roll each turn where each success is a defender dead and each fail is an attacker dead.
