Mine is being delivered tomorrow. Getting better. Not the joyous 5 day before release as Pre-Covid, but that may be a thing of the past.

My team covenant RttFA looks like it should be arriving Monday per USPS tracking. They have a notice on their page too that says shipping is taking longer due to COVID than their usual. To be expected.

On the objective cards, green objectives are circular, yellow and square and red is hexagonal. It also carries that scheme somewhat on the back of the threat cards.

It’s half the level rounded up so it would be 1 clue, and you’d have to exile rite of seeking to remove the doom (otherwise it’s just the 1 clue) as I understand it. It’s not a terrible card by any means but it’s not great.

The big miss for me is just theme because of the “reading” in the title of the card.

I'm more looking forward to Patrice burning a second copy of Pete.  Wait, can she exile 1 of Miss Doyle's brood?  I realize it doesn't do any effect - they have no value - but can she?
It'd be an expensive way to get Moonstone into play, 5 resources and no clues, but if you feel that strongly about it...

I apologize.  I was emotional when I wrote it.  I'm not sure why I cared about this so much yesterday.   Villefere can believe whatever they want.
I guess its just all this 'cash grab" and anti corporate rhetoric get's me going a bit.  Are there very real negative effects of corporate culture?  Yeah of course.  It's an ethos built to reward the pursuit of self interest and does little to promote thinking about the concerns of the greater community.  It relies on voluntary selfless action.  That is something that seems to not come naturally to people.  Especially when responsibility can be deflected.  Is Barkham (a product made to answer the desires of the AH audience and raise some money for a charity) a great example of these evils?  It makes the real concerns seem less valid when these sorts of threads become the battlegrounds.   You just sort of become a meme shaking your fist at capitalism rather than spurring productive discussion or healthy debate.

I thought I read something about donations somewhere though in addition to that. I may be wrong. But my primary point was that people asked for it, so I wouldn’t call it a cash grab. Just don’t buy it if you don’t want it?

It was an April Fools thing that people clamored about making a real thing. And they listened.
Also, proceeds from purchases were going to an animal charity last I knew, so, no, not a cash grab.

Soakman got a reaction from Chrislemasters in Update to Thematic Investigators
A long time coming, this is the update to the original 8 investigators that I created back in 2017. The game has changed significantly since their original inception, and they were due for a revamp in order to make them more compatible with the current game state. A few signatures have had their graphics updated, some wording has been cleaned up, and a few of the investigators have had major rehauls or revamps to eliminate redundancy with investigators that have since been released.
Since the originals have seen over 2k downloads but I haven't had any messages etc in quite some time, I wanted to create this post in case any of you are still using them.
If you really get into the characters, there are also versions of them for both AH 2nd Edition and Eldritch that you may or may not be familiar with. I've been carrying these guys with me for roughly 7 or so years in one form or another, so I'm rather attached.
    Hope you enjoy!
You can find them here: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/142036/8-thematic-investigators

(I plan to also get them on Arkham Central somewhat soon)

I know what you mean. I’ve always done the same with will when I play Mystics. Eldritch Inspiration is one of those cards I have never seemed to have room for in my decks. But with Sixth Sense, it has great synergy, which I’ve kind of overlooked, because I use Rite of Seeking so much.
My Agnes took a couple attacks from the heart to do the same thing! They really are in sync!

Tomorrow we are going to the big “Founder’s Day” BBQ. Looking forward to a nice relaxing evening!

I suppose it's only a hop, skip, and a jump from blood magic to soul magic. That sounds excellent. I find it hard to make room for all of the great mystic cards I want to use because most mystics only rely on and have high willpower so every card in the mystic faction is a good choice 90% of the time. I should try to make room for eldritch inspiration more often.
We never had the blob eat itself, but I took 2 deliberate attacks from the heart just to ping it for another 1 damage from Agnes's ability. Excited to try it again with a different investigator.

Poor soulless Agnes.. I think the outcome of that would have to be in the role play. No more compassion. No more helping out the other guy. No more cooperation.  Now it’s all about her!!

I played Agnes too. Funny how great minds think alike... I drew Shining Trapozohedron and Arcane Initiate in my opening hand, which was pretty sweet, as I had a lot of spell events. I was a little light in the asset department, because I was terrified of having them devoured. In retrospect, I should have had more, but that being said, she had a couple of brilliant moments. In an unlikely turn of events, Sixth Sense, Dark Prophecy and Eldritch Inspiration combined in perfect alignment to get the last 2 clues off of another location that would have defeated her if she were there. And for the first time since I have played Agnes, her Elder Sign really came through. It happened on a card that gave damage equal to how much she succeeded by and it was by 5, I think.
We were fortunate too, because for some reason, we somehow dodged having any really horrible things devoured. Time, speech, language, and 3 times where the blob devoured himself!  Agnes drew that one twice. Maybe her soul left your Agnes and empowered mine!

We played and beat it with four investigators and earned two story assets. They were connected to the story cards that you can resolve.
We also played Agnes, but she kept getting the bob to eat himself!

Excellent. Thank you. Somehow we missed that text. We added the clues but didn’t see the other bit. That is much better.
2nd question. While we DID win (sans side quest), Agnes had her soul devoured which would have been added to our campaign log. Is that just for the flavor/lols?

The story cards aren't epic-exclusive. You get the exact same set of "sidequests" in non-epic (and, incidentally, you get 1 VP for each sidequest completed in addition to the story asset); the only difference is you don't sync up your sidequests with other groups. The instructions in Act 3b will explicitly tell you to draw a random story card.

In epic multiplayer mode, 8L-08's health is so high that the extra 15 points wouldn't make much difference. It's easier to round down to a flat 15 per investigator so everyone knows what the average contribution needs to be.
