  1. Also thought I shoud point out, that dead Heroes do in fact go to their owner's dicard pile. If this wasn't so, Fortune or Fate for example wouldn't work.
  2. I too had the same message pop up. Now I'm sure you all agree that at least with our game, there are and have been a number of differing opinions on the way the rules are to be interpreted. Personally, I'm grateful that we can contact Nate and his team to get clarification but I think we do need to be able to get each other's insights as well. Some of the questions can be easily answered purely because someone else knows where to find the answers in the rules & FAQ. But furthermore, I believe it allows FFG to become aware of any confusion that might arise and therefore gives them the opportunity not only to explain the ruling but learn what sort of wordings to use on future cards etc to avoid future confusion.
  3. Thanks for your answers guys, so just to clarify, If, for example, Dunedain Cache had previously been played on Gimli thereby giving him ranged, I would have been able to attack and kill the enemy before damage resolved?
  4. Hey everyone, I was playing a two player game last night and a situation came up that I wasn't sure about. so I thought I'd post it and see what others thought. Here is what happened: My friend was being attacked by an enemy and it would have been fine if not for the shadow card, the shadow card increased the enemy's attack strength enough to kill my friend's hero. I was playing a tactics/spirit deck and I had quick strike in play and an available tactics resource. I wanted to play it on my Gimli who was strong enough to kill the enemy before damage would have been dealt. Gimli didn't not have ranged. So after some discussion we decided that I can't play quick strike becuase the target was inelligible due to the fact that Gimli wasn't ranged. I'm still not convinced we played this right - it just seems that quick strike is fairly weak if we did. I'd love to hear what you all have to say about it. and also what the common conception of an eligible enemy is. Cheers
  5. One option they could explore is to start selling singles. you used to be able to get them from www.toywiz.com but no more it seems. I'm a bit bummed by it because not only did I find it extremely useful for deck building but, I was also able to buy individual encounter packs and therefore have permanent encounter decks setup.
  6. Nope its not out here yet. Unfortunately FFG seems to give shipping priority to the US and Canada....can't imagine why rofl

Cheers Silverhand, 165 cards total: - 2 Hero Cards - 33 Player Cards - 116 Encounter Cards - 14 Quest Cards Thanks I think I just have enough sleeves Now all I have to do is get my hands on KD!!!!!
  8. Also need to know how many Hero cards there are as well because I use different coloured sleeves for each tpye.
  9. Hey All, Can anyone please tell me how many Player, Encounter and Quest Cards are in the KD Box. I just want to make sure I have enough sleeves. Cheers
  10. Let's not forget the good ol' Beravor and Unexpected courage combo! you get a couple of UCs on her and you can draw 6 cards a turn. She also works well with Brand son of Bain who you can use to ready her, so there's 8 cards a turn right there. all you need then is some resource acceleration and you'll have an answer to almost any situation.
  11. So just to clarify, is the concensus that if a card already has surge, it can't gain it again and therefore only one card is drawn? This is the way I interpret it and I just wanted to ckeck.

Counting the round at the end of the Refresh Phase (the very end of the round) makes sense to me because then you only add 10 to your score for each full round completed. Playing a full round = 10 points. Playing a (final) fraction of a round = 0 points. That's genius. thankyou, I will implement immediately

I think the way the answer is worded is a little abiguous where he says "Eaves of Mirkwood does not protect Shadow effects". But I think he's thinking about it from a story based perspective than a mechanic based one. I think its clear enough though
