I'm looking to host/GM a game online over skype and rolz.org, if you're interested add me on skype: Ulric Kessler. I'm also available just about anytime.
  3. Hey guys I'm new to Only War but I've been playing the other games for nearly 3 years now, and am a massive fan of the 40k setting. Anyways I'm looking to either join or host an online session over skype and rolz.org. If you're interested add me on skype: Ulric Kessler. I am available at pretty much anytime!
  4. Hey there everyone, it's been almost a year since my last game and to be honost I've almost always been a GM and for once I'd love to be a player. So if there is anyone out there looking to do a BC campaign and needs players, I'd be glad to join in. I am free at all times due to the fact that I live on compensation from the army so please feel free to hit me up on Skype@ Ulric Kessler.
  5. Hmm apparently it double posted my thread.. -shrug-
  6. Ok so, I'm just trying to get a general idea on if this is possible and how it'd be worked into BC. One of the players in the group I'm apart of is a Tzeentch worshiping Psyker, and atm he is wondering if he can take the Sorcerer and Master Sorcerer talents from the RT or DH games as well as the various spells and such therein. I'm not the GM, but I'm trying to get a general view on this and how it would be made to work. I've thrown around some ideas though, but want to hear what you all have to say on this..

  8. In the BC game I managed to join I play a Slaaneshi Apostate, Stefan Amaris (soon to have his name changed to Thulsa Dume). In rather grand style, my character has taken the ship that you get in Broken Chains at the end, had it repaired, loaded it up with slaves and gladiators, had artisans come in from the planet of Q'Sul (sp?) and rework large areas of the ship into arenas, theaters, and chaos shrines. That rusted hunk of junk is now a floating jewel dedicated to the Kings of the Warp. Have been secretly working in large parts dedicated to Slaanesh though..also I have managed to gain the trust of the carrrion feeders and have started to have them become my closest followers. >:3
  9. I just finished playing through the Broken Chains adventure the other day as an Apostate. Our GM is new to GMing and my other friends were new to BC, and it was pretty awesome. I managed to gain the trust of the carrion feeders and our GM created a few extra NPCs and such which by the end of the adventure gave us a nice little collection of 'cannon fodder' (The carrrion feeders and reprogrammed murder-servitors). We just put into port in one of the docks above Q'Sul (sp?) and had the ship repaired, and I managed to purchase a huge number of slaves and gladiators to fill the ship with and also had artisans come aboard and craft several mass shrines to the dark gods aboard the ship. Right now we're waiting for our GM to work out more of the continuing adventure, but we took that 'rusted piece of crap' and have turned it into a space-born shrine to the Kings of the Warp! A few minor issues of course, namely being it doesn't really state what class of ship it is, so we settled on Iconoclast from the Rogue Trader series.
  10. I'd really love to try my hand at RT, I've played most of the other games save this one. Long time 40k fan too.
  11. I'm sure it's just a typing error, but..... "PLAQUE" marine? So you have a cavity creep in your game?
  12. A Sorcerer that sounds/talks like Cobra Commander. My NPC 'narrator' of sorts that is an almost direct copy of the japanese sorceror guy from the original Conant the Barbarian movies. www.youtube.com/watch
  13. I'm up for it, Love to either try my hand at an Apostate or Sorceror.
  14. Right, read about that in the book Blood Pact. Something to consider, the Blood Pact are not totally devoted to Khorne, true they do devote themselves to the martial aspects of the Blood God, but they do make use and mention of the other Gods in the various novels. Also a pair of my players are playing as Blood Pact members (Renegade and Apostate), I had some nifty fluff items to give them starting off, namely the Grotesque and Rite Knife.
  15. Thing I'm trying to avoid having at the moment is just a bunch of 'typical' chaos villains is all.
  16. Oh I'm not shooting ideas out of the air, I end my sessions all the time asking for 'questions, comments, requests and concerns', thus giving the players a chance to fill me in on something they liked or didn't in each session. Secondly, I'll get the cat-of-nine tails cracking against these degenerates and before long they shall have achieved my degree of lore memory. Just kidding of course, I guess the thing I attempted to get across is just it really kinda hits my creativity abit having to go back and explains things like the Consanguinity, Sabbat Crusades, Sons of Sek, etc. Additionally, the planet I have the story taking place on is a planet that originated from the Sabbat region in Segmentum Pacificus, consumed by storms and then spat out in the Screaming Vortex a couple decades later. The players themselves are the remnants of a group of raiders that had been operating in the Cellebos region in the Jericho Reach, but had to flee or be destroyed by the Imperials there, themselves encountering a storm and eventually ending up on H'desh (the planet thingy for my story). From here on out I've introduced them to my first 'friendly' NPC, Sormono, and if you're a fan of the original Conan the Barbarian (this and Mad Max are major themes in my campaign atm) you'd have recognized him as that japanese actor that played the sorcerer in both movies, even sounds like him.
  17. I really hate it that this happens, but occasionally I'll get some players along in my games that are virtually clueless of 40k. Or, even lamer still, only have read through the Codexes and although those books are really nicely done (for the most part) they don't really provide any detail for anything more than the archetypical Chaos villain. Just looking to see the approach some of you out there handle this touchy subject. It really seems to kinda suck though for me, because I have had time and money to read a truely VAST array of novels and omnibuses, and yet I've met other 40k players that have played as long as I, yet bother very little look through these books. I'm not asking for everyone to be a ravenous fanatic like I can be :/ it's just that some of these books are really incredible, particularly the books by Abnett, Mcneil, and Aaron-Dembski. (Ben Counter, Gav Thorpe and James too.) Note: I'm not bashing on anyone, just looking around to see the myriad of ideas to handle this turn of events.
  18. You're really trying to be everything at once, you really should focus more at one thing at a time. Less Gears and more Cogs.
  19. Hello there all, I recently fired up a second BC campaign and I've decided to put the Blood Pact in the story, though as a much smaller group than the vast regiments and such that are off in the Sabbat Crusade. These Blood Pact soldiers are actually the descendents of a group of them that ended up on the planet, H'desh, that had been sucked into the Immaterium by storms and then reappeared in the Screaming Vortex some decades later. Getting to the point though, I'm kinda interested in hearing your thoughts on the stat and skill setup these guys should have. I do have my ideas, but I'd like to hear other ideas. Granted there are several classes of Pact troops I'm using, here's the list.: Pact Trooper - standard soldiers. Fire Support Team - standard soldiers but trained in the use of support arms, like mortars to heavy bolters and autocannons. Storm Pacter - assault troops of the pact, excellent in storming enemy positions and great infiltrators too. Armour Hunter Pacter - AT troopers, 'hunt' enemy armour or lie in concealment to spring an ambush. Sirdars - Lieutenants in the pact. Veteran Pacter - Veteran pact trooper, usually assigned as NCOs to pact troopers, some form specialist squads, carapace armour and more exotic arms are at their disposal. Damogaur - Captains or Majors of the pact. Pact Praetorian - Elite soldiers of the pact, veterans of countless battles and masters at arms. Usually equipped in suits of light PA. Etogaur - Colonels or Generals of the pact, occasionally in the direct retinue of the Gaur. (also vehicle members and pilots too, but this is the general list.)
  20. Additional: Must have AIM (it has a dice roller thingy apparantly o.o;) and I strongly prefer you to get/have Skype as I use that for OOC chat.
