  1. @all: You are absolutly right. I haven't read the response carefully.. there is no cancelling of discard a card, the trigger specifies "after discarding a card", so you always pay the cost by discarding a card and then you may trigger Silver Harp.

For Emery .. my fault. had in mind that you discard from your hand, but it's from your deck, so no chance for Silver Harp to trigger.

  2. Hi Folks,

after i've read that the action from Treebeard do not boost him if you cancel the dealt damage by e.g. Close Call here some questions about the Silver Harp and their response:

    1) Can i boost Éowyn if i got my card back by silver harp? - i think no, because i do not have paid the cost actually

    2) Can i draw a card by Erestor if i got my discarded card back by silver harp?  - i think no, because i do not have paid the cost actually

    3) Can i draw a card by Galdor of the Havens if i got my discarded card back by silver harp? - i think yes, because it's a response with the same trigger as silver harp

    4) Can i prevent Trollshaw Scout and Watcher of the Bruinen from being discarded if silver harp gets my discarded card back into mein hand?  - i think no, because i do not have paid the cost actually

    5) Can i prevent Emery from being discarded if i got the non-spirit-cards back to my hand via silver harp? - i think yes, because there are no non-spirit-cards discarded that way

  3. Sorry for that.

I modified it so i deleted it before :)

For the Fellowship Event 2015 i created 5 Decks ... my idea was to have 15 different heroes so i can easy fit in a random group of 2-4 players without making much changes.

    1) Elladan/Elrohir/Glorfindel: http://deckbauer.telfador.net/playerdeck.html&id=17147&share=aee17db8

    2) Bard/Boromir/Brand: http://deckbauer.telfador.net/playerdeck.html&id=18003&share=cce17b16(pure tactics with eagles)

    3) Bifur/Elrond/Gloin: http://deckbauer.telfador.net/playerdeck.html&id=18002&share=f9477980

    4) Dain/Thorin/Ori: http://deckbauer.telfador.net/playerdeck.html&id=10822&share=a03724cd(dwarfs and card draw)

    5) Eowyn/Nori/Oin: http://deckbauer.telfador.net/playerdeck.html&id=18464&share=1ec60150(dwarfs-thread-reduction)

I've tried 3) and 5) on the event.

With 3) i got a perfect starting-hand but missed some carddraw .. so after 4 rounds my handsize was 1 .. each round :-/ Gloin was perfectly equippt .. burning brand, song of wisdom and self preservation .. was nice but we lost on threat :-/

With 5 in a 3-player-game i got some good rounds but my dwarfs do not show up early... but in the end the dwarfs and tactics do great work. If you wish, switch Eowyn for Glorfindel and light of Valinor for better attack at the beginning.

    have fun with these decks.

  4. @midwestborn86: thanks for your detailed clarifications about 'reveal', 'add' and 'discard' .. but that was not my question.

The question is, when does a 'when reveald'-effect from a enemy trigger and when the enemy will be discarded by the forced effect of the questcard 'goblin patrol'.

  5. So, if the forced effect overrides the text on the Goblin Follower it will override all "When revealed"-effects, right?

    FAQ:

Q: When an enemy makes an attack as part of its “when revealed” effect, is that enemy in the staging area?

A: No. Enemies are added to the staging after resolving their “when revealed” effects. An enemy that makes an attack as part of its “when revealed” effect, is not in the staging area or engaged with the defending player unless a card effect says it is.

It's not the same situation but the answer reads that when revealed effects will trigger before a card is added to the staging area, so the Goblin Follower will engage the last player. After that, if the card would normally added to the staging area, discard it. The Goblin Follower wouldn't go to the staging area, so no discard.
