  1. Nope, only by what I have read on forums since I bought the game.

Well, either there's an overwhelming consensus, and you can point me to examples, or not, and it's just an opinion.
The difference is quite important, as you presented it as a fact in your rebuttal of Floris' claim that your tank was over powered, you see.

It's the only point of reference and comparisson we have to go on.

It's no point of reference. If you really want to push that line of thought, you're going to have to show the results of fields tests on 17 pounders and 88's mounted on walking chassis. How does having to handle the recoil from two 88's effect the german vehicle? How does the more compact frame of the Allied tank compare to the German tank? How does the 17 pounder having a 360 degree firing arc compare to the 88's having a 0 degree firing arc? What ammo are the two weapons firing? How does being set in an alternative time line, where both weapons have had an additional 2 years of development or neglect effect the two weapons?

please stop citing me saying its not over powered

I don't think I cited you as saying that. I'm using that term. I assumed that as you argued with Floris' assertion that your unit was "too strong", that you were disagreeing with his conclusion. If, instead, you agree with me that it is over-powered, then of course we have no disagreement there, and it only leaves me wondering why you'd create something you know to be over-powered?

why not give it a go for some playtest feedback?
Why not just play test a Ludwig, with no alteration other than to give it 11 dice against allied tanks rather than 7? It achieves the same test variables, and is exactly as pointless an exercise.

You quoted my question about it having no draw-backs, but didn't actually address what was in the quote. To reiterate my point, in question form:
The only disadvantage you have offered (that I can see), is that your unit cannot easily perform a shoot/shoot action, to re-roll its dice, the point of which is to increase the chances of a successful attack.

Your unit has nearly twice as many dice as the closest competition at no additional cost, and you think that's not a problem, so that would mean placing no value on an increased chance of success.

Please reconcile these two positions, and, if possible, offer a drawback to balance you giving your unit nearly twice the dice of its nearest competition at no additional points cost.

And finally: If you dont place any value on an increased chance of success of destroying one enemy tank, do you place any value on doubling the number of enemy tanks your unit can take out? Ludwig, Lothar, and Pounder can all kill one tank per round. Hot dog can kill two tanks per round, but they have to be adjacent to one another, and they have to be point blank to the Hotdog. Your Ludolf can kill two tanks at any range per round. How do you justify that, with no increase in points cost?

The general concensus of opinion is that mechs with large twin weapon only really fire one at a time or there is a +1/+2 bonus to a single weapon,

That's an interesting conclusion. Do you have the link for that reference?

Also MM, I'm not sure arguing from a position of reality, with regards the 17 pounder vs the 88, has much merit in a discussion about anything other than a real world comparison of those two weapons. I'm sure you don't need telling that Tiger tanks didnt actually walk, either!

    And one final point:

This walker has its drawbacks as metioned in the text

I'm not seeing any draw backs? I'm seeing that you acknowledge that it CAN fire every round, with only two less dice than a Ludwig and a Lothar combined, due to reload being only a single action, but no draw-backs? You do say that it can't shoot+shoot after the first round very easily, but as your argument for why your Ludolf isn't over-powered hinges on your suggestion that in Dust Tactics, double the dice is not double the opportunity, that seems a moot point also.
