And at the moment I do not see much rush around, so some enemys might be unprepared.
true, moreover rush also has a strong chance agains any type of deck
-
I play sometihing very simmilar, and my deck also works quite well for me:
3 Servants of Khorne
3 Braying Gor
3 Clan Moulder's Elite
3 Savage Gors
3 Ungor Raiders
3 Warhounds
3 Sorcerer of Tzeentch
3 Blood Dragon Knight3 Long Winter
3 Offering of Blood
3 Warpstone Experiments
3 Plague Bomb3 Raiding Camps
3 Den of Iniquity
3 Desecrated Temple
3 Disc of Tzeentch
3 Warpstone Excavation
3 Contested Villagei use offering of blood instead of unleashing the spell since you are able to burn you opponent zones anyways before getting enough developmnts. Offering also gives you an opportuinty to kill your own unit to remove some developments in case of verena
Den of Iniquity with long winter is enough to stop rush for a turn
I`m not very found on blood dragon knight in chaos aggro deck, sometimes he wins game on his own, and just as often he seems like a good developmnet, but I can`t find a real alternative for him.

Like the title says, Im a little bit scared about the future of our great game. I have the feeling, that the community get weaker and weaker, less people join the game (or even stopped to play) and the Forums are nearly dead. Is that only my opinion or is this a real happening?
What is with FFG? Why get the support with news worser? Is the game not lucrative enough to hold it on after the 4th circle?
What is your opinions and feelings about that topic?
Greetings from Germany, Brülla
Just because ppl don`t write stuff on forums, that doesn`t mean they gave up playing the game.
What is it that you expect from FFG ? As far as I know the local distributor is responsible for tournament support and organized play.

Tyrion when combined with True Mage can be quite nasty
True mage is to slow, there is choice of cheap units in HE that deal damage to themselfs as an action.

I think we may get clarification on this whole subject in the next FAQ, which also should be coming relatively soon since they always release one about a month before GenCon.

Doing too much with too less people
this is true for most big companies
As for banning VTHC Im glad it happened, and I agree with all the resons it truly undermined the core physics of the game. VTHC alowed you just for playing developments disable all cards that worked only in one zone , since then none played them. This is a new beggining for WH:I, I`m very curious abut the top of next tournament, but in my opinion it will be chaos ( chaos is the only true anwser

Ok, but...Do you know what playtest is?

No, was born yesterday.

Everything has been tried
Your statment is much general, but that is what most people think. The truth is everytihng depends on specific player his skills, deck he is playing, skills of the opposing player, and also the deck he has. The seme refers for playtesting you mentioned before. No offence meant, but aren`t you whining a bit ?
I don't think they have problems playin' other stuff, that's A LOT much easier to play than the average control deck.
What is other stuff ? Help me understand this- you just said that if you played deck build around VTHC, you can play any other deck with pro skill ?
-
deamon sword too slow for you ? have you tried putting it on a chaos spawn on the first turn ?
-
night goblins effect is forced you are going to destroy your own choppa/tribal tatoos
take a look at clan moulder elite, would be a nice to chage ironclaws for it
-
The game is slightly getting boring, every tournament there are more blue decks based on VTHC than before. Soon there will be mono-race tournaments!
Well what you said happens, when more than 50% of players bringing an imperial VTHC deck is basicly the thing. But that just shows that many players are lazy and don`t bother to seek for other options, that are realy out there, and are just as effective.
I agree with jaszczurr many people here are overreacting. First of all if some most players use imperial decks some time will pass before they learn to use other decks, and play with new ways/cards. New realeses bring have brought many interesing cards, that are usefull against VHTC and resistant to its effect ( sor. of tzeench ?). I won`t be suprised if after 2-3 new packs balance is going to change in favour of chaos.

you can`t have an action chain inside another, as chains cannot be interuupted as they are resolved
Q: Can I take an action while
an action chain is resolving?
A: No. You may only take actions
during an acton chain before all
players pass. Once all players pass, the
chain resolves in a “last in, first out”
manner and no effects can be added
to the chain.I disagree with you. First you resolve one action then move onto another. What you wrote proves that a concept of action in between actions is quite absurd, isnt it ?
-
I would say you get to choose the order, as both things occur at the beginig of the turn - in the same moment
-
Neither the rules nor the faq say that you aren't allowed to declare a defender if there is no attacker
You are right, but it is logical, that you need to be attacked to defend

-
Is there some errata on Teclis I'm missing? The first half of Teclis' action says "you may play a tactic card..." followed by "Then, shuffle"
To explain what I mean - you resolve one effect before moving to another so 1. you search the deck 2. play the tactic 3. shuffle your deck 4. then resolve the action of the tactic. The same thing happens when you play the dwarf cannon crew and bring a derricsburg forge into your mission zone, you shuffle your deck and then draw a card. You resolve one the action before moving onto another.
What if I bring reclaiming the fallen or stand your ground with teclis, and bring back to life a dwarf cannon crew - you would look at a addicional card then shuffle your deck, and then shuffle your deck another time ?
I might be wrong, cause I can`t find anything in the rule book or FAQ to help me support my version ( yours too BTW )
If you reveal Scroll of Asur, you can choose to play it. The top 5 cards are already revealed. Once you play Scroll, it is no longer in your deck. So you look at your top 5 at that point, which are the 4 you've already revealed, then the next card. You put them back in any order, then you finish resolving Teclis' action and shuffle, making your Scroll of Asur worthless.
Youre just supporting my version
. Look on this situation: i have scroll of asur on my hand, i choose to play comet form teclis, and play scroll in response to comet. In your version scroll would be resolved as a part of teclis action.Doesn't seem to make a difference either way.
I think it is a diffrence cause you get to choose if it is the right moment for the coment

faq 1.4
If the active player declares no
attackers, both players still have the
opportunity to take actions during the
Battlefield Phase.
The turn ends. The other player is now
the active player. Proceed to beginning
of the next turn.So battle field phase starts even if no attackers are delcared or you have prevented your opponend player from declaring any attackers.
For a unit to participate in combat you need to declare it a defender or attacker. If no attackers are declared, you dont get to choose a defender.
You cant use monster form the deep in response to declarations of attackers, as it is not an action. For monser from the deep to work you need to use his ability afeter your opponend declares which zone he is going to attack. The same goes for defenders, you need to use monster from the deep ability after you declare which zone you attack before defenders are chosen.
Assuming some attackers have been declared. battle field phase ends after damage has been appied in the last action window ( which is considered the end of battle phase )
3. Does a battlefield phase stop if all attackers are eliminated in the action-window after defenders declaration?
3.1. If yes to 3 - Will this count as a combat for the purpose of triggering the "Scout"- or other combat related effects?
3. No battle field wont stop if you killed all the attackers in the action window that follows declaring defender - sometimes you have to resolve effects that kick in after declaring defenders ( eg. black dragon rider ), but no damage is assigned ( unless your units damage themselsf as an effect of beeing delcared as a defender eg frierdich hemmler
).3.1 Yes scout ability will trigger if attackers have been eliminated after declaring defenders, but after the next phase: counting and assigning damage, which in this case will be 0
5. Can I skip the battlefield phase?
No - some effects may occur only in this phase. Battlefield phase starts, both players have opportunity to take actions ( starting from the active player ).
the turn timing section in faq 1.4 will make things more clear then my anwser, as you are asking about basic things
-
And you don't reshuffle for Teclis until you have resolved the optional Tactic.
No. You resolve teclis action, then you resolve comet of casandora. What if you reveal a scroll of asur ?

Noob here, let me try to understand this:
For attack, Legends behave like units, can attack opponents zone or a Legend through a zone and contribute the power icons they have 'mapped' to the battlefield (upper part of the Legend card). Defending units can assign damage to an attacking Legend just like they would assign it to an attacking unit, i.e. it is not necessary to assign enough damage to other attacking units first before a defender can assign damage to a Legend.
In defense, Legends can only defend when they are attacked directly (i.e. in lieu of a zone). They cannot defend a zone (only themselves). Legends contribute the power icons 'mapped' to the zone through which they are attacked to assign to the attackers. Attacking units need to assign enough damage to defending 'frontline' units guarding the zone before any damage can be assigned to a Legend. Excess damage assigned to Legends does not spill over into the zone through which they were attacked.
Is this correct?
Noob ? self-esteem problems ?

Yes, you are correct.
Legends also contribiute power to zones wich affects your resources and amount of cards you draw. You can only field a legend on capitol that matches its race.

-Unique? Doesn't fix it. A single quest makes the difference anyway.
I disagreee, makeing VTHC Uniqe would make a diffrence. With 3 ancient maps and 3 VTHC quest there is a very strong deck that is build around just VTHC itself. What makes VTHC so strong is that you are able do move around zones more enemy units/supports that he is able to field in a single turn.
Another thing is that lagends changed much, taking out a single unit holding a mission is not a problem. Just recent tournament in my region was won by chaos ! Highes place held by VTHC deck was 4-th.
-Create anti-quest cards? Allowing sideboard? It's not solving the problem. It just adds some "auto-includes" JUST because a single cards cannot be banned. It's crazy.
I strongly agree, banning any card is crazy and absurd. Restricting VTHC also won`t solve the problem, as VTHC is a the problem itself. Imperial players would just ajust their decks.
I agree with the Make "Visit the Haunted City" unique and then add it and 'Judgement of Verena" to the restricted list argument. .
Strong disagree with judgment of verena on restricted list. Judgment is a strong card, just many other ( sorc. of tzeench mentioned ), but this is not a sufficent argument for adding it to restricted list. Verena decks also don`t use much cards on that are on the restricted list - so what`s the problem ?
Recent releases added a lot of development control, deck based around judgment of verena isn`t a thing that players are defenceless.
But everything stops moving when facing "IT".

That is not true. Good build of DE discard or a Chaos unit removal are able to beat a VTHC deck with some effort. If you don`t know how to play against VTHC the problem isnt in the card itself.

Put into a mathematical equation where X is the number of damage being assigned, Y is the number of Bloodletters and Z is the total damage assigned: (X + [X]Y)=Z . So three Bloodletters and a Plague Bomb would be (1 + [1]3 = 4) and (2 + [2]3=8) and (3 + [3]3=12).
This is quite confusing, for bloodletter to work accordingly to that equation card text should be diffrent I think. Another thing is that doubling damage before it is applied contradicts the rule of non-combat damage, that it should be applied immedatley ( it is doubled before it is applied ).

Good one... Since the word "cannot" is absolute in W:I, I (i.e. a noobie) would assume whatever is played first is the valid play. So if Effulgent Boils is already attached to a unit, that unit stays corrupted, even if Blessing is played afterwards. But not sure about this. I guess Blessing would still be a legal play, but the effect would fizzle. If however, some action would remove the Boils, then the attached Blessing would come into effect.
I agree since blessing of isha card text assumes that you might not be able to restore te unit ("Restore that unit, if able.").

Dear Sir,
then if I have 2 Bloodletter in play, does it make 4 times of damage? or not matter how many Bloodletter in play, it always make double damage?
no you don`t multiply that damage by 4, the situation is similar to having tyrion and white lions on the table, you don`t get to redirect 2 damage. Same you don`t double the dame that has already beed doubled.

Plague bomb needs 3 units in play to be played, as in order to succesfulty trigger a card effect you must pay the cost and declare all the targets (faq 1.4 pg.4 "triggering card effect").
After bomb has been played returning one unit to its owners hand won`t cancel the effect because, if any of the targets are still legal when the card effect resolves, then the card effect will resolve normaly affetcing the legal targets only ( again faq 1.4 pg.5 "illegal target"). The action is activated as a whole but its multiple effects are resolved separatley. Still it is non-combat damage so any tactic/ action needs to be played in response to plague bomb, to take efect before unit is applied damage.
-
Plague Bomb requires to have valid target 3 units in play, and yes you have to hit your own units sometimes

It isn`t so clear to me whater that savage is triggered by indirect damage. I`ve searched the forum and some say that is is just like toughness, but the diffrence in between toughness and savage is that:
- savage is triggered when a unit is dealt damage
- toughness is triggered when a unit is assigned damage
According to faq 1.4 the player is dealt damage ( indirect damage is non-combat damage that is dealt to target player ), does is still trigger savage ability ?

Will of the Electors restricted
in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game
Posted
this restriction is plain stupid, and the thing that you can trigger quests without unit. Why not restrict verena itself ? I don`t see verena as the major winning deck now, I guess they let some scared newbie player to have a voice in this FAQ. Decks build around verena are here from the begining, and recently are played less often, why now it is so important to have them weaker ? Since some new cards were realesed verena is not the strongest build.
this game is not what it used to be...
