  1. Ok, here's a wild guess. I think the "gnome" in the fountain might be some kind of engineer. It looks like he have some sort of googles on his head. If you play for instance World of warcraft, engineers often displays some sort of googles
  2. Never understood the name treant. Like they where ants made of wood…
  3. I have a real hard time beliving we are gonna get a Barmaid as a playable character. My guess for the gal with the tray of "drinks" is some kind of poisonmaker.
  4. Really no other reason then feeling a bit fed up with them. But hey, it´s only my opinion and I wont cry tears of blood if they end up in Talisman in the future…
  5. Won as the keeper again yesterday. But it was a really close one. If one of the players hadn't failed a roll the investigators would have won instead
  6. Sorry, the creatures you mention are all from folklore and are nothing that Tolkien invented. Orcs and halflings on the other hand…
  7. I'm really not want to see the Ninja, Zulu, Samurai or Saracen in 4:th ed. They don't belong in the Talisman-world. Not going by those names at least. For those who still wants to see them and their abilities a hope for a namechange. Here are some suggestion: Ninja - Shadowwarrior Samurai - Master of Arms Saracen - Raider, Reaver or Slaver Zulu - Tribesman or Tribal Warrior I'm not sure about the Halfling either. Halflings and Orcs feel to much as a Tolkien ripoff…

  9. I hear you. Still it´s a powerful combo. I know what you mean with fighter-characters, as the Dragonhunter didn´t even win that game. If I remember correctly the Wizard did
  10. Really looking forvard to this! The minis looks awesome!
  11. Actually, in my group the players have bested me (the keeper) most of our games. I think that investigators have won 5/10 games at least, maybee 6/10 don´t remember exactly. I as the keeper have won 3/10 games, and there have been 1 or 2 both side loses. But on the other hand, I as the keeper have been trying to give the players a fair chans of winning, and not playing with that cheap tactic you can use in many of the scenarios…
  12. Yesterday when we played Talisman one of my friends played the Dragonhunter. He acquired the Doomsword as well as the follower who grants you the ability to roll 1 extra die for your attackroll during the day and add the result together to your attackscore. The question is, am I right to assume that this is a very lethal combination for the Dragonhunter? As I interpret the rules, the Dragonhunters deathblow makes you roll 2 dice and add them together for your attackscore, if you roll matching numbers you are automatically defeated. Right so far, but with an extra die from the follower (who´s name a have forgotten. It´s a new one from BM), it makes you roll 3 dices and add them together. Doesn´t this make the deathblow attack unstoppable? Or does this mean that when you roll 3 of the same number you are auto-defeated? If this wasn´t enought, the Dragonhunter as well acquired the Doomsword. On it it reads +3 strenght during battle, if you roll a 1 you are automatically defeated. But if you roll 2 dices for your attackscore you can´t really roll a 1… Isn´t that right? It´s the same principle as The Grim Reaper and the Riding Hoarse. Well, at least we allowed this deadly combo in our game. +3 in strenght during battle and roll 3 dices for your attack during the day. Very OP indeed!

Drowelfs have black skin, not darkelves. Either way, I don´t think it´s a darkelf. Probably some completely new character along with most of the ones displayed on the box. I think that only the guy with the tophat and the elf summoning a phoenix might be old characters, others might have some of the older characters abilities but will come with a new name and new abilities as well.
  14. Then what happens if you draw 2 or more lunarevents where one tells you to flip the timecard to day and the other/others to night? Encounter them in the order you drew them, and flipping the timecard several times, or just encounter the first one and discard the rest?
  15. It's the same as the Mercenary or any other follower doesn't die if they aid you in a battle you lost.
  16. 1. No, the Dark cultist have to follow the spell limits as well. 2. You can only take followers with the word follower on the card. So the ghoul's followers are safe with him.
  17. I wouldn't allow hydraspell on teleport, simply because it gives other players an extra turn with the teleporting which it should not.
  18. Makuhari said: Just played through my first game with the Dragon Expansion. Quite different to the way the game played up to now. There was some confusion at times. 1. What do you do if you draw dragon tokens that are the same as the Dragon King? (I'd assumed from the rule book that you just put them on the Dragin King card, but what happens if there are 3 extra tokens on the Dragon King's card when the Crown passes?) 2. If you choose to encounter the Dragon Scales, do you have to encounter all of the scales that are there, or can you choose which colour to encounter? 3. If two Dragons have two scales each and you draw two tokens, one of each colour - who becomes the Dragon King for that turn - the first token owner, the second token owner - or do you treat it as though the crown passed from the current Dragon King to the other two in the order in which you drew the tokens? Thanks for your thoughts 1. If you draw a token that's the same as the dragon king you place it on the king as usual. If the king shoul'd gain 3 tokens you put to of them away and place the third on the board as usual. The crown then stays on the king. 2. There can only be one scale on a boardspace. If you have to place a scale on a space where there allready are a scale you place it on the first scalefree space counterclockwise from your current space. 3. You draw the scales one at a time. The last drawn scale will decide who the current dragon king will be (in your example).

Thanks But still you can encounter a bronze dragon there Best regards Yeah, and even worse, the battle hulk. Have you seen how big that thing is on the picture?
  20. Off course you can enter with strenght/craft 10. I think 8 in both stats and some dragontokens should be enough for most of the time. The thing is that you need both stats to fight in the tower because the Dragon Lords can change pretty fast. But also as you go to the top of the tower you'll cash in some trophys to before facing the dragonlord, so I really don't see any problem with the dragonlords. On the contrary, I think they are to weak... And if you draw 4 dragons on a draw 4 cards space I should call you really unlucky, because there are plenty of other cards in the decks to but enemys. We used the dungeon and the highland in one game, but nearly nobody went there because all the dragonscales was on the main board so everyone was going after them instead. With the Dragon-expansion the gameplay gets very focused on the hunt for dragonscales
  21. I don't think it works because it is not the player who roll on Deaths sharts actual turn.
  22. Velhart said: Nidhögg said: Yes we have. What do you want to know about it? Hey Nidhögg, Have you also use the dragon tower already? How strong was your character when you went into the tower? Just curious. Yes we have. But unfortunate for me I haven't been into the tower yet as my friend beat me to it. But I think he was quite strong at the time, around 12 in strenght and/or craft. Perhaps it was less... The thing is that with Dragon scales at your disposal you dont need to be that strong because you got those crazy bonuses in combat from the scales, so at the time the enemies in the tower didn't really pose a threat to him, and the Dragon Lord was just a piece of cake
  23. I can't stand the Assassin. I hate him since the days of 2:ed, when my friend always played as him and killed my characters all the time. Nowadays I try to kill him of before he can do to much damage. Usually the other non-assassin players follows my example, thus making the assassin a hunted man in the talisman-land If I draw him myself I rarely play him, as I think his power are to OP and boring...
  24. Dam said: Troll. Nothing is quite a cool as a Craft 10 Troll that can take on a Demon while flinging spells left and right . I actually managed to beat the Deamon Lord ending with the Troll in one game. That was sick
  25. The rule are stated like this: "The term "Dragon" refers to any Enemy with the word "Dragon" in the card type box. Cards and special abilities that only affect Dragons do not affect Draconic Lords or creatures in the Inner Region." I think it is written as it is because they whant to tell us that Dragons are only the enemy cards with the word dragon in them, not creatures on the board or "bosses" on the Crown of Command space..
