  1. Her ability to draw card on the graveyard is worded as she always can draw a card on the graveyard, even if there is one or more cards there already. Correct?
  2. Also one question about the Patrolled Neighborhoods: It says: "Whenever the terror level rises, remove all Patroll markers on the board. Once the people in a neighborhood are reminded of the greater supernatural threat that exists, they are no longer so quick to reject the investigators' assistance!" But can the patroll markers return to game in later events, or are they gone for good at the time the terrortrack advances?
  3. I hope they are not planning to revise everything or make a Second edition of the main game. That would suck as I am trying to get everything Arkham-related right now…
  4. Benefits (revised): Can you only use the upkeep actions listed on the cards to help other investigators and not yourself? Psychic: I guess you don't have to be in the same space to trade the skillcard?
  5. Good to know that guys. Here's another concerning the Obsidian statue. What exactly does cancel stamina/sanity loss from one source mean? If you fight a monster for an example and lose the first round fighting thus taking damage and making use of the statue, dont you lose any stamine in subsequent fight rounds either if you should lose? Also, can you use Obsidian Statue agains an GOO? The card doesn't say that you can't, as with many other Uniqe items and spells you have to discard in final battle.
  6. I'm also quite new to AH. But in less than a week I have tried out around 8 games already. I have been playing both sologames and games with more players. If we are more than one player we deal 2 investigators each and pick one. Great Old One: Draw one at random. In my solo-sessions I have tried out 2 investigators at random against one GOO at random. Only thing is, used investigators and GOO:s are put aside and are not drawn again in later games. Thats because I want to try everyone out.
  7. While at it. I presume you dont count gate-trophies an monster-trophies you lost as a result of a GO:s special attack as VP?
  8. talismanisland said: Errata? If you roll a six, you can go to the Temple as your next move. It is quite straight forward. Maybe your right. I was thinking much in line with the Carnival adventure card. On 6-rolls you cross the stormriver as you where using a raft, and found this quite impossible while in the City..
  9. I still think it's errata that it doesn't specify whats happening on a 6 roll. Can't understand how something like that slipped past playtesters…
  10. Ok, we have been playing that you get one victorypoint per 3 toughness points. But I want to play it right as I like to post my results on Tibs statistics page
  11. Thanks. Another one: When determing your score, how do you count your monster throphies? Each trophy counts as one, or do you count them by toughness points?
  12. So what happends if you roll a 6 at that inn?
  13. Yes she can also discard a card allready in play to draw a new one instead.
  14. Hi I'm new to the game. Have only played 3 games thus far, but they have been awesome (even as I finds out after each game there have been some rules we have overseen). However, my first questions is: Can you use weapons when you try to close gates? What happends if you encounter an location in Arkham and a gate opens up, but there is a elder sign marker on the space? Nothing happends or draw a new card instead?
  15. Nice to hear that people reads the thread. Here's a little sum-up: Winners: Gypsy, Fire Wizard, Warlock, Prophetess, Druid Losers: Cleric, Conjurer, Dreadknight, Elf, Swashbuckler, Assassin, Dark Cultist, Knight, Amazon, Ogre Chieftain, Minotaur 16 characters have been played thus far. 30 left to go. Interesting to see that the winners thus far are all spellcasters.
  16. Game number 5: Characters: Minotaur, Druid Unfortunately we were only two players this time around. Nothing really interesting happened really. Just an average game of Talisman. The Druid got hold of a smaller army of Followers, as well as around 12-14 objects that he forced his Horse and cart and Mule to carry around for him. The Fortuneteller also came in handy as she made him look at the topcard of the adventuredeck each turn, making him far more likely to turn away from disaster. Well, how do he repay her service? By offering her to the vampires in their tower for food offcourse The Minotaur didn't do any real noteworthy this game. Just shambling around, drawing alot of cards he could't reap the fruits out off… The Druid beat him to the Crown and defeated the Bloodmoon Wherewolf that awaited him there. Winner: Druid Loser: Minotaur
  17. I think that the rules says to use other tokens as stand-ins if you run out of darkness tokens (as well as fire and horror-tokens).
  18. Yeah, she's in the Library which is locked. Only time I played CC I played this objective, and I actually managed to kill one of the investigators with my last mi-go (as the other one was killed off).
  19. Played the demo a couple of times and found some "bugs"… 1. I dropped a item in the Village. Next time I landed there I didn't have the option to pick it up. 2. I had to roll the die at the Chasm, even though I had the Guide as my follower. 3. When I tried to walk through the Portal of Power and rolled on my strenght, the game didn't include the bonus strenght for my Unicorn and my Belt of Might. 4. I actually entered the Inner Region later to see how it worked and found out that you had to encounter the spaces there each time you land on them, even when you decide to turn back. That is not correct. 5. Maybee not a bug, but the game reminded me each turn that I had trophy-points to spend, but I wanted to save them untill later. The reminder was a bit annoying after a while… Hope I helped you sort out some misstakes. I liked the demo otherwise and can't wait for the full game!
  20. Velhart said: Wow, The Glitter is a very cool card! I want to buy it in the City. What´s the price? It's not a "the". It's the name of the pet. As Wart is the name of the toad-pet. I think all the pets will have names and will be unique, as in only one of each.
  21. Mimm said: I think of things as having only the average amount of time to have one experience. I do not agree with visiting the graveyard and digging in the same turn. Well, if there is a card on the Graveyard space, you encounter the card then the Graveyard. So there is certanly no rules against how much you have time to do under one encounter…
  22. BanthaFodder said: I would be disappointed because he looks like an interesting new character and to be a spy would be a bit of an anti-climax. I have no problem with a spy, as long as it is not on a par with the bizzarre 2nd edition one. Would prefer it to be one of the others though. You can't see the animals on his shoulders? With the higher (but still low) resolution image you can clearly see ears and eyes on the them. I didn't say they were alive either. Could be pelts that he is wearing. Not to mention the rather large tail flying out from behind his hat. Doesn't look quite right for a rats tail but that may just be done to low-res I don't see any binoculars on his belt either, the rats skulls hanging there must be in the way…. So, I bet you both a bag of gold* - alternatively loser has to get drunk in a tavern and get into a fight with a farmer… *Talisman gold obviously! an Apothecary is not a bad shout at all. Not quite sure why should be be carrying them on a tray but may be artistic license to get them represented. The animals you are refering to are some kind of mink stole fur collar. Look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about (I don't know how to attach pictures to the post). Bet accepted
  23. BanthaFodder said: Well Nidhögg & Velhart, I would be immensely disappointed if he turned out to be the spy. I admit that there are not many other likely candidates for the character that has been revealed. I double-checked the image and top-hat does, as I originally thought, have at least one animal draped on his shoulders. I originally thought it was a cat but it may be two giant rats. (better quality image available now) Woud be a bit of a rubbish spy that goes around with dead rats on his shoulders….not exactly blending in…. Maybe the spy is the elven girl in blue. Also, the interesting 'barmaid' type character - you can now see a magic essence flowing from one of the glasses of exotically coloured liquid she is carrying… she is a real puzzle.. It's a fur collar around his neck, no living animal You can also see what seems to be a binocular in his belt. I'm positive it's the Spy. The "barmaid" I'm sure is some kind of Potionbrewer or Apothecary. My suspicions regarding this got even stronger with the reveal of the Potion-purchase deck over at TalismanIsland. She will most certanly start with some potions from that deck or have a ability to gain potions from that deck for free…
  24. BanthaFodder said: I see one of the Enemies shown is a Giant Rat. Anyone want to wager with me that I was right (see other thread) about the guy in the top hat being a Rat Catcher ?? Sorry pal, he is most certanly the Spy.
  25. I think your friend is right. On his ability it says "when visiting the graveyard you can dig..", which I interprets to "you can dig as well as visit the graveyard=pray or replenish fate).
