ScottieATF got a reaction from ComtriS in So do the imperials ever win?
The Imperial Player is not a Dungeon Master. He is a player as much as any other player. He like the other players is attempting to beat his opponents.

ScottieATF got a reaction from MandalorianMoose in Overlapping in the setup
That it is unlikely to happen because the ship's that you are typically utilizing happen to be on smaller bases isn't relevant, because if it is legal for those small ships that can get out of the way of each other it is just as legal for those large ships that can't. Creating a situation in which you can not resolve the maneuver.
As per the overlap rules a ship that overlaps another can not finish it's maneuver. You reduce speed, even to 0, in order to find a maneuver that would no result in an overlap. In this situation you can never do so, thus you can never complete the maneuver.
Just on that basis, nevermind the introduction of measurements on an axis this game never tries to include, there is no grounds to conjecture that this type of deployment is remotely legal.
But if you need FFG to tell you as much I am beyond sure that they will. If they don't also think that you are pranking them with the question.

That you used it in 2 games with no issue, doesn't mean it doesn't create an issue. It means that you aren't looking for the issues you are creating.
Take two Corvettes and deploy them with one propped up on the right side of another (meaning that the example ship has it's left side up in the air). Set the propped up ship to Speed 4 and try to preform a maneuver turning the example ship to the left. You can easily notch the template in for both the beginning and end of the movement , but the resulting (legal) manuver ends with the template sitting 3-4 inches above the table. You have no way to remotely estimate or execute that legal maneuver because you have a side of the ship propped up at an angle.
Now take two VSDs prop the example ship up so it's front pegs are sitting on the back of the other VSD. Set it's Speed to whatever you want. No possible maneuver will result in you being able to clear the base of the underneath VSD, and reducing Speed temporarily still results in an overlap at 1 and even 0. You can never resolve what are completely legal maneuvers because of the manner in which the ship's are set up. How is that suppose to work?
The deployment you are suggesting as possibly legal in no way works with the rules of the game. You can not have the above highlighted issues and act as if you aren't suggesting that the rules of the game function in a manner which leads to situations in which they litterally can't work. The VSD example above highlights specifically that this type of deployment creates a situation in which legally under taken activations and perfectly legal maneuvers simply can not resolve themselves.

ScottieATF reacted to gokubb in Why the delays? What happened?
FFG products are in a constant state of delay. They print everything overseas and are at the mercy of their manufacturing partners and customs. Unlike some companies that keep warehoused stock of new releases prior to shipping off to the distributors, FFG's practice is to ship it as soon as it is printed. As long as they follow that model, they're always going to be late. Take any FFG release date, add three months, and then you're likely to have a more accurate representation of when a product will be available.

ScottieATF got a reaction from 4wallz in Kinda off-topic but..
If that's FFGs read on what occured then they are flat out putting their head up their own butts.
I demoed the co-op they previewed at Gencon alot. As a result I had a chance to talk the developers that were soliciting feedback. The feedback I and others gave was that they were just giving us an LOTR reskin.
Now sameishness is always something leveled at FFG when they make a new game. And it's normally not a criticism I level at them. They have a style and the borrow some mechanics sure, but I don't think that makes the games reskins of each other.
But the SW co-op was so similar to LOTR that my then LOTR playtest partner and I were immediately able to blow through all the scenarios they had to demo on our first run through them. Luke was a reprint of Core Legolas. And this was a common sentiment of those that we played and talked with that Gencon
They laid an egg with that one and it's a shame if internally they don't have the perspective to understand that they just missed with the game, not the overall concept.

New cards? We are easily getting 30 new cards worth of design. How much do you need in a set?
We are getting way more player cards design space than cycles in Arkham, and that isnt even counting the Hero cards.
What card are they going to add to the Cap deck instead of Av Mansion? They want a card that gives you some draw.

ScottieATF reacted to Tonbo Karasu in Thoughts on Cap?
Those aren't reasonable options. The first has problems with deck-building, since now you've increased the availability of 2-resource cards, which they appear to want to keep something of a cap on. The second isn't playable out of the box.

I don't post too much on this particular forum so you most certainly can't call be part of some sinister cabal of forum posters.
You spent multiple pages making factual incorrect assertions trying to couch them as your opinion. When people told you that no 2+2 does not equal 5, you accused them of trying to stifle your opinion. Accusing you of trolling in this thread is other people giving you the benefit of the doubt on your posts.

ScottieATF got a reaction from Caldias in Burning Invites, New Units and Base Sizes - What has you hyped, good or bad?
By not having invites pass down what you are encouraging is the exact type of behavior you are worried about.
It encourages people to opt out of playing in top cut games because why would they want to deny invites to other people? This is doubly true once it goes invite only. You're going to have alot less climactic tournament ends because people are just going to concede games rather then burn invites.
Now before you call that collusion, it isn't. Legion isn't a big community, people are going to be aware of if their opponent doesn't have an invite. There doesn't need to be any conversation for a player to concede so that their opponent gets the invite. FFG has also already stated their collusion rules as written aren't what they intended and they are looking to rework them as they are currently unenforceable.

It still expands the card pool, whether you choose to use it or not. The card pool is the available options, not the ones you choose to use.
I won't use certain characters in VS, such as Purple Man, but that doesn't make the card not exist. It's still part of the card pool, I just choose not to use that part.

ScottieATF got a reaction from Derrault in Interesting Choices
Because a character that doesn't control their ability that litterally transformers them from alter-ego to hero would be a really bad choice for a game with a core mechanic of being able to switch between those two things turn to turn. Specifically in a core set where you want things to not violate too many mechanics off the bat.
I don't think you really thought this question through in a rush to declare pandering.
And the Hulk is included as an ally. And true to his comic book form he makes a big impact but is unreliable.

ScottieATF got a reaction from KBlumhardt in Interesting Choices
In your rush to unnecessarily get on a soapbox did you not stop to look what characters are included in the box.
Are you really trying to say that they didn't include staples in their core set when 4 of the 5 characters have had 1 or more billion dollar solo movies; two of which are Iron Man and Spiderman.
The core set is all staple characters, except for 1. So honestly what are you even talking about in that regard?

Eye of Agamotto, but yes it isn't the Infinity Gem.
Just like the Cosmic Cube (Tesseract) isn't either.
