Have trying to expand my Warhammer Invasion gaming community.
Two times in the last weeks I have introduced 4 new players to the game.
 
Now I have set up a session on SydCon 2013 witch is a Swedish gaming convention.
Hope to attract new players.
 
Love the Cataclysm format.

This is what I lug around. Dice work best with mini-capital boards and mini-capitals travel better.
 

Hi, here some results from the german championship 2013. It was held in Dresden October 13th. Also our german publisher handed the organisation of the tournament over to us this year, but still supported us with prizes and everything. Because of that and several other reasons we only had 22 players this year But all in all it was a really great tournament and everyone enjoyed it, especially for the atmosphere, the location and all the nice players.
 
We played 5 rounds of swiss and then top 8. Game for 3rd place was not played out, so we have 2x 3rd place. The final was Orc vs DE and did go 1:2 in my favour Attention worlds, germany is coming for you!

Prepare For War is probably the worst I'd say. Useless....

I'm looking forward to beefing-up my Lizardmen and Undead decks!

Just to give an update, I played my friend recently with Iron Discipline and it helped out a ton.  He tends to run with quite a few resources (playing entirely too defensively), but that caused him to use his huge pool of resources to kill or move 1 unit, which he otherwise could have spent on putting more units into play. 
 
That same friend just ordered Cataclysm so our playgroup should be getting a needed influx of cards (Standard Bearer and Hammersmith ftw).

I feel like I should put Dark Visions in all my Dark Elf decks because it will almost always have utility, I just rarely do.

Tom Vasel is why first started playing Invasion. I had nver heard about it until I watched this video 2 years ago.
 


 

If you watch the Dicetower you know that they have different reviewers how make their top 100 games of al time.
Ryan Metzler have the good sence to include Warammer Invasion on his at number 76.
Ok It's not number 1, but àl publicity the game must be à good thing.

Is anyone aware of any Warhammer-themed player personality types (e.g. Ned, Jaime, Shagga for AGoT) used to describe Warhammer: Invasion players? I have a few in mind, but wasn't sure if there were already some established.
I was thinking Gotrek, Felix, and Max based on the characters from the Gotrek & Felix series. Though I could also make a case for several other characters from that and other series.
I don't even know if any such classification would be useful, but I think it might be. After all, we have a community where some people love combo decks, some hate them. While some people only play one race (and refuse to even play out of race cards within any deck) and others like to play all the factions and splash in other cards from the different races.
I think it is certainly true that different players want different things when playing cards games and Invasion is no different in that respect, although Invasion players are not necessarily looking for the same things that players of other games are. If players are looking for different experiences from playing the game, it may be useful to classify the different motivations driving the players.

I thought a reprint was when they run out of copies and need to make more.
