    2) How should I play this card in solo game? After reducing threat whom should I give control of this card?

To be honest I do not find myself playing this card in solo mode. Once you get into deckbuilding I see little use for them. Right now it is impossible to reach the 50 card tournament limit without doing dual-spheres, which means you will have a host of other allies to choose from. Even when I had only one core set my Spirit/Tactics deck did not use this card. I took some lower cost tactics allies instead.

  2. Although I also agree that this is too early in the game, I do have an opinion about the original question.

I don't think The Galadhrim's Greeting should or will become restricted in the future. There are too many encounter cards that add big chunks of threat to a player's pool, and they come in different variations. Pursued by Shadow is a treachery that could add a large number if you only rely on one or two strong characters for questing and the Hill Troll is an enemy that might add a couple of his own. Right now there are so many ways to add threat, and really only two ways to reduce it: The Galadhrim's Greeting and Gandalf.

As for Will of the West, it allows you to recycle your deck, but unless you also have a great amount of card drawing power, there is some risk here too. You may be hoping to get Gandalf that extra time, but he could end up at the bottom of the deck. Also, with nightmare mode being played, this is almost essential.

  3.  I too only have one core set right now, but I don't see it as a huge disadvantage. There are certainly cards that it would be nice to have more of, but it is not necessary to make a competitive deck.

The one I am currently playing with is similar to what Clyde mentioned at the end of his post: Eowyn/Dunhere/Legolas. I use Eowyn as my main quester, as well as any of the Spirit allies because they are so good at eliminating location cards. Spirit is also great for threat management, so I can choose which enemies I want to engage with. Dunhere softens them up in the staging area, and sometimes I will slap a Blade of Gondolin / Unexpected Courage on him to make short work of high powered orc enemies. Then I use Legolas to finish them off. Gondorian Spearman is also great for taking down wounded enemies. I have had success in the first two scenarios, but I have never attempted the third.

  4. Great job on the win - I know it took a couple of tries for me as well. I am still sitting at a 60/40 win to loss ratio, and I have only played the first two scenarios.

As for the scoring, look at it more as a personal benchmark. I have seen some negative scores here in the forums, but the best score I have on Mirkwood is 21 points. Just keep trying to get lower than your previous mark.

  5. I have been running a similar deck, although I am limited to one core set right now. I am also using Dunhere instead of Eleanor to pick off enemies still in the staging area. If I get a Blade of Gondolin on him it also gives me some extra progress tokens on the current quest.

I agree with some of the other recommendations here on Rain of Arrows. Especially with only one ranged character (Legolas), who you will want to save to actually attack and get some progress rather than exhaust for card effects. I recommend:

    - Rain of Arrows x3; - Fortune or Fate x1; - Citadel Plate x1

    + Horn of Gondor x1; + Veteran Axehand x3; + Stand and Fight x1
