Barry Harker: Thanks for your words and your ideas, mate!
I´ve used my colour pencils on the last retouches!

The Mantis was made from a Revell Firespray Plastic Kit (bigger than FFGs), using the bits in other configurations and modelling the cockpit with greenstuff. If you´re interested in previous steps, I have more images on my blog.

Hantheman: I used Mel´s Mantis design (shapeways) to get an idea about the dimensions in 1/270 scale.

Someone requested some pictures of my EF76 with the Millennium Falcon so here they are.
I still have a lot of work to do on it.

The main problem here is one of lack of control of distribution. This is something that happens in all industries. And usually it is a sign that the manufacturer is unable to correct it due to a lack of solvency.

The counter arguement to the Asmodee reining in on massive online discounting that a few online retailers is this:

    1) A small handful of greedy retailers are creating a price war with the rest of the FFG's retailers because they have a large amount of capital and can purchase in large volumes to get better volume discounts from FFG.
    2) By selling at such a discounted price below the MSRP openly, the value of FFG's product drops, as well as the value of the brand. This hurts FFG directly.
    3) The best way to handle this is simple - just stop supplying the problem.

FFG on it's own might not have been able perform 3) simply because the revenue that comes from said online retailers is necessary to continue staying solvent. Basically the client is holding the manufacturer hostage as they know that without their volume payments, the manufacturer cannot continue operations. Where Asmodee comes in is as a cash rich investor, who has the cash to ride out step 3) to allow normal distribution to resume.

I've been in the games distribution industry in my country before, quite honestly if any of our retailers did this we would have cut supply to them immediately on all product lines. A lot of games manufacturers have gone belly up due to this issue - its unexpected and sudden from the outside looking at the situation - but basically continous deep discounting by retailers and distributors is a sign of rot in the games manufactuer.

JJ is still a producer in Episode 8. It was a good but not great show.

To me Episode 1 isn't the worst Star Wars movie. It was really, really bad, but that is it's saving point. Episodes 2 and 3 are by far the worst in my opinion. Rather than being bad, they are bland, boring and mediocre. They push no extreme and are totally forgetable.

Ask any one who has watched the Star Wars movies, they can usually tell you the plot and major events of the OT and Part 1, but will struggle to tell you what parts 2 and 3 are about and mix up the scenes of those 2 movies.

Even with a major disarmament, there is no way the entire republic fleet was at hosnian system. It probably wasn't even a significant portion of the fleet destroyed. It probably did destroy a lot of the command however. Which would be a hinderance to the effectiveness of the fleet.
The t-85 confusion comes from wookiepedia where some excited uploaders listed black one as a t-85 before it was clarified that it was like the rest of the fighters a t-70

None of those will be in wave 9 - fixes are out of wave - waves only have brand new small and large ships. Agree that the Firespray is the large ship most in need of an update - popular but doesn't seem to pull its weight well compared to other scum or imp ships.

Considering how military adverse the republic was, most if the fleet should be out of sight. Far from the capital. So they wouldn't have to be reminded that they still had to have a military.

The t-wing was created by the rebels but they never fielded it. They licensed / sold it for cash. It's more famously used by scum and rimward forces.
You are missing some ships from my post: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/196832-what-new-scum-ships-do-you-hope-to-see-in-wave-9-onwards/
That isn't a complete list by any means. Many civilian class ships are fielded by more than one or even all factions. Eg the yt,yv freighters, various shuttles, etc
You should also include new republic ships as ffg has used the e-wing and k-wing as rebel ships

Actually the T-70 is probably a decomissioned model - the T-85 is the standard ship in rep navy - a newer prototype is not out of the question. Just out of the question for the Resistance to get their hands on. Remember the Resistance is sorta like the Flying Tigers or Yankee Squadron.
